What do you think about powder foundations? Do you have a favorite?

I’ve worn powder foundation more often than liquid and totally agree they look better after they’ve been on your skin for a little while. In the old days, they used to feel even more drying (ok for me b/c I had oilier skin then), so newer formulas are (usually) a vast improvement. I’m currently alternating between the affordable Colourpop Pretty Fresh (Maryam Maquillage showed how blurring it looks over pores and I get the same effect) and BareMinerals pressed powder. I think these brands do a good job of having a variety of undertones, although CP tends to be too orangey for their warm tones.
TBH I’m biased against La Mer and certain other luxury brands because they tend to target lighter skin tones, which are often pink/cool. Whereas Patrick Starrr (founder of O/S) being a POC tends to offer undertones that suit me more. That foundation is on my list to check out in the future.
