You chose a good one to get started. As intimidating as it might seem, this is still easier than many Digimon systems to understand. Each Digimon on the farm gains EXP without you needing to do anything and will do as the general order of the island is (Train, Develop, or Investigate). To increase stats you can train and it is based off the personality of the island Leader and each Digimon with boosts from any of the farm goods there.
Touching on his point of digivolving and de digivolving always get to the max level before you do either for better stat gains. And doing 200% on conversion is always a food way to go as well.
Especially at first it is good to max out their levels to raise max level and a couple extra ABI when digivolving and especially when dedigivolving. 200% gives you 5 ABI which is always good to help get those megas earlier.

I have a whole video about gaining ABI for Digivolving/De-Digivolving. Mostly more levels gained before De-Digivolving is more effective so typically I digivolve without getting too high level. In general gameplay terms it is largely governed by your Memory how high you can Digivolve and keep your team varied enough to handle bosses.
In the end that's what it boils down to. Even Digimon Con 2024 mentioned the PlatinumNumemons so it is well known. Who knew I would ever use a pile of platinum sludge so much?
Rather than care about that 5 ABI I just keep converting and returning to data until I get the right personality. Once you get a full Platinum Sukamon squad 5 ABI can be farmed out in a couple of minutes.
That is true, the more I've played and gotten the full setup the less the 5 ABI matters. It really only matters just a little if you're new and not getting all the Tactician USBs and PlatinumNumemons.
They should be available really early on, I've never tried to use them and not been able to get them. You can find them in the shop in the EDEN Entrance area, the very first area in the game.

Typically to make things easy in the early game I go for the vaccines (Terriermon and Tentomon) as most of the early bosses are Virus types. Though most Digimon can digivolve into anything else in the game depending on your path. To get Rosemon BM get a Rosemon to level 60 with at least 30 ABI and 100% CAM. She will be there just like any other Digivolvution. Rosemon can be Digivolved to from Pumpkimon, Lilamon, or Lilymon.
In Hacker's Memory and the Complete Edition in both games max ABI is now 200. There are no forms that require such a high ABI, but it helps training. The formula for the number of stats a Digimon can train is 50+(ABI/2). So it used to max at +100 stats, now it's +150 stats.

It is pretty simple, nothing like all of the different types in Pokemon games. Even the elemental advantages are much simpler as they only do bonus damage to one type.
@@Rordrik I started playing Yesterday and I’m loving it so far. I’m just not sure what’s the best way to gather Digimon. @@DragonGirl9800 Gathering Digimon is just scanning them and then converting them at 200% for bonus ABI, but I assume that's not actually what you are asking about. The way this system works is nearly any Digimon can eventually become any other with how they branch off. You aren't going to reach the highest forms on your first try so you will have to de-digivolve back to Champion and then back up. The more different forms they take the more new moves they will learn or you can keep them on a path to make sure you get the mega you want. Most runs I end up with many copies of the babies and in-trainings so having more than 1 Agumon if you want is likely not hard to try other paths with it.
Attributes are Data, Vaccine, Virus, and Free. So what this means is if any of your attacks are already doing x2 damage, then it is also doing the extra 15% more from this support skill. If you are doing neutral or reduced damage from attributes, it does nothing.
@@TvosOlehead These are some of the best Digimon games we've ever gotten to this day. Glad you could get everything going to get all the Digimon you could want.
Memory is obtained in 3 different ways. First there are side cases that will appear throughout the story that will reward Memory Up. Second there are chests throughout the game that will contain Memory Up. And many bosses will also drop Memory Up or Memory Up DX. So generally if you progress you will find them.
@@downstreamers8052 Ah I think I know the issue then. They are items that you are given, so you must go into your inventory and use them to increase your memory. I do not know why they are not just auto used, it would make a lot of sense.
A level 15 Palmon should have all the stats it needs to Digivolve just take it to the DigiLab and choose the option to Digivolve. In order to raise a Digimon's Maximum level they must Digivolve or De-Digivolve. If you are having trouble becoming Togemon then raise their CAM by participating in battles, feeding them in the DigiFarm, or use Friendship items.
They are quite strong. Though to be honest I rarely use Acceleration Boost. I see it as a SP saver in longer battles, but is there more to it that I am missing?
Acceleration Boost is key as it reduces timelime penalty. Pierce attacks have the harshest penalty on the timeline so its more timeline and SP efficent to use Acceleration Boost.

@@RordrikI’m seeing that now 😂 thank you for the tips
Can you explain Cursadermons ability to me like I’m 6 years old WTH is good affinity pls
Attributes are Data, Vaccine, Virus, and Free. So what this means is if any of your attacks are already doing x2 damage, then it is also doing the extra 15% more from this support skill. If you are doing neutral or reduced damage from attributes, it does nothing.
@@Rordrik ty soo much, I’m enjoying this game so much used a lot if your tactics and got 12 usb techs
@@TvosOlehead These are some of the best Digimon games we've ever gotten to this day. Glad you could get everything going to get all the Digimon you could want.
How can I increase my memory I'm 15 hours in and I'm still on 20 memory should I just go with the story or is there something I have to do
Memory is obtained in 3 different ways. First there are side cases that will appear throughout the story that will reward Memory Up. Second there are chests throughout the game that will contain Memory Up. And many bosses will also drop Memory Up or Memory Up DX. So generally if you progress you will find them.
@@Rordrik I have done 2 cases that had memory up in them but nothing changed it is still on 20
@@downstreamers8052 Ah I think I know the issue then. They are items that you are given, so you must go into your inventory and use them to increase your memory. I do not know why they are not just auto used, it would make a lot of sense.
@@Rordrik yes that was the problem you have no idea how much you helped ty a lot
@@downstreamers8052 Glad I could help. It is indeed an easy to miss thing with all the items.
I cant digivolve my starter palmon its stuck on level 15
A level 15 Palmon should have all the stats it needs to Digivolve just take it to the DigiLab and choose the option to Digivolve. In order to raise a Digimon's Maximum level they must Digivolve or De-Digivolve. If you are having trouble becoming Togemon then raise their CAM by participating in battles, feeding them in the DigiFarm, or use Friendship items.
Does it matter if you're currently battling with a digimon or if he's just sitting idly in your team to activate the SS ability?
SS abilities only apply for your 3 currently battling Digimon. I know because having XP boosting Digimon in the reserves does not increase your gains.
Get Acceleration boost. Get final aura. End of video XD
She can be useless especially when her advices boils down to “do your job loser” especially for chapter 13 just said do sleuth work with no indicator to check papers to rest so you can proceed I know that’s a bit spoilery but she isn’t okay she isn’t great in giving you advice as it only works in some not all situations
True there is once or twice in the whole game that she isn't that useful, but I still use her all the time to get me on the right track when I'm skipping dialogue. If she won't tell you where to go Kyoko or Pete usually can. Sadly there isn't anyone really like that in Hacker's Memory if she's not helpful enough.
@@Rordrik yeah I had to use guides cause I’m juggling so much I can’t do alone shot play through I end up lost and she usually just mostly said “do your job” and I would chuckle saying man that’s useless
@@quantum-gamingr8311 She's trying. She can't be the entirely omnipotent mysterious figure all the time lol.
@@Rordrik that’s fair lol but I wish it was since the games don’t have any way of indication like most traditional Jrpgs
@@quantum-gamingr8311 I mean newer games are quite good about keeping you on track, sure. Though there are plenty of old school RPGs that were just 'keep wandering until you find it'. Oops found the too high level monsters, don't go there.

This is why i stick to pokemon lol i love digimon but man, this is way to complicated even for a pokemon player
I mean I don't understand all your EVs and IVs either. It is all about what we want to enjoy. Though to be honest this is one of the easier games. The old school ones are the ones that are really hard to understand.
