Love this review! I think I'll probably be shooting for Analine calfskin on my next purchase, myself. I love stiffer leather covers. And thanks a ton for the shout-out, brother! You definitely didn't need to do that. I'm grateful regardless. It's so awesome to be a part of this community.
Thanks! Couldn’t have done it with our your help! The shoutout was no problem man. ✌🏼 yeah the slight stiffness is awesome, I think you’d probably like it! Also I forgot to talk about smell because I’m not really about that, but it slaps you hard when you first get it 😂 (not in a bad way)
Great summary of the two various translations and covers, etc. I too, find a regular or generous yapp ideal over the full. Both are beautiful and I enjoyed today's comparison 👍📖👍
@@TheBibleReviewer My issue is mainly with cost. These Bibles are overpriced in my opinion. The Bible I use is the Companion Bible and it is more reasonably priced even in genuine leather. But this only effects my willingness to buy one. I wouldn't refuse a premium KJV Bible if someone gifted me one. But you are right, they would last longer.
You are the reasonable one of us, I'll give you that. If it was up to plain sense, it would be wiser to buy a whole stack of lower mid-priced Bibles, maybe around the equivalent of $40-50 than say three premium Bibles. But then there's the non-logical passion for beautiful things, as Ecclesiastes would call vanity. I have enough expensive Bibles that I could have bought a used car instead, but I like them alot, so there's that... Of these two covers, I have the marbled magogany in both regular and personal size Canterbury and the Tuscany in regular and just preordered the personal size to match. Both are awesome but in their own way, if I HAD to choose one I would also go Tuscany. But the Siena looks quite beautiful as well. I have to put an end to my collection though, before my more reasonable better half does. She has been quite tolerant so far considering she doesn't share my obsession for good leather Bibles. 😂 And if you ever DO consider getting just one premium Bible, my personal all-time favourites are the personal size Schuylers but also the Cambridge Cameo if you like the KJV. Both are just the perfect blend of portability and ease of reading. God bless!❤
I have the NASB Quentel in Marbled Mahogany and the NIV Quentel in Tuscany. The Tuscany is so interesting and will change with age which will be fun to watch. But both are beautiful.
I agree both seem very nice! I’m considering getting the regular NLT Quentel when the next run comes out. Do you find the paper super difficult to manage on the bigger sizing compared to the PSQ?
@@TheBibleReviewer It’s more difficult than say a 32 gsm, but the Schuyler paper is such good paper quality wise that it’s never a huge issue. I think most of the fuss is perception . Do I prefer a heavier paper? Sure. But it’s not a deal breaker for me.
@@TheBibleReviewer I figured it was a reference to the movie, but still had to look it up lol. I saw Tim Wildsmith say he likes the MM better. Now you have to get both and compare hahah.

@@TheBibleReviewer I love good bible smells 👃 Do you find that the Analine calfskin is thicker than the regular calfskin, too?
Thanks for a very interesting review.
No problem!

Thank you!! Ah yeah a slightly generous yapp would probably be good too
Hey man! Hows the Tuscany doing? Is floppier now or still stiff? I love that color but i do love the softness of leather
Fantastic review and comparison. I’m a huge Tuscany fan. It is definitely next level IMHO.
Thank you Mike! Yeah I’ve been thinking if I do end up getting an NLT Schuyler, I’ll definitely be considering Tuscany again
Also thank you so much for the coffee!
I don't go in for so-called premium Bibles but I am impressed by how beautiful many of them are. Of these, I would prefer the Tuscany.
Understandable it’s always the content that’s most important. ✌🏼 but I do like how they are built to last longer

@@TheBibleReviewer No. it’s not a deal breaker
Might prefer the regular yapp as the full yapp cross looks off centered
That’s the same issue Tim Nickels has. I didn’t even notice till I saw him mention it. haha
@@TheBibleReviewer yeah, it's really not a big issue it's just a small thing for me. I do like yapp though
How dark and consistent is the red letter in the NKJV psq? I don’t like red letter as it’s hard on the eyes but they don’t come black.
So this marbled mahogany or black pearl? Which would you go with?
I’ve actually never seen the black pearl in person but I hear it’s faster than the interceptor

@@CliffR hahah sorry about the confusion, but glad you were able to find a comparison on Tim’s channel!
Could you tell me what tripod you use??
