I don’t have a bible at this time just using bible apps . I just out myself on a waiting list for the Schuyler Quentel ESV, Regalis Purple Calfskin Bible.
Cool review, Wonton! I have the full yapp cover and love it. I've been using mine daily since July 1st (doing a 6 month read through), and have enjoyed the coloring, wrinkles, and scratches its taken on. I can't wait to see how it continues to age.
Great review, thank you for pointing out some things about this leather that I have not seen anyone else mention. I have a full size NASB in this leather and really like it so far.
If it gets the horse tack look all over it can be almost halted with the proper coating, just stop before it's right where you want it..... like a slot machine, you have to stop it early and let it roll in. I haven't bought one because I'm not seeing any that have the aging on the front. If the big flat stays plain it'll bug me. The marbled merlot and desert camel are/were amazing, does this meet or exceed those?
A really great review man! Really cool to see that you ended up being able to get the Tuscany in the CSB. I know I’m late on my view, I’ve just been playing catch up since I’ve been absent. haha
@@WontonDisciple thanks! All is good dude, just a lot of stuff going on, on top of needing a laptop 😅 but now that I got it, I should be back in a rhythm soon. Makes sense you would be all over that olive green! It does look nice though, what translation would you get it in?
I missed out on the tuscany leather FY. I'm really bummed out about it, just as I managed to save the funds for it. Now I have to wait for I don't know how long for the next batch of FY PSQ. Hopefully they bring the tuscany back or will have other attractive versions. I love the new collab they did with crossway for the heritage, so maybe that or the desert camel leather.
Worth checking the Facebook buy/sell pages. The Tuscany is pretty polarizing, so I see them circulating the groups often. That's how I was able to get this one, actually.
@@JayAllenDavis wow, welcome to the channel, neighbor! I have alot of good friends in my church who are originally from Grand Island, too. I used to go to the water park there tons as a kid.
I think the ribbons go really well with the cover colour myself but it can be harder to tell on video vs in person. For me I guess it doesn't have to match exactly the same. So many bibles already with brown ribbons, this is a very nice colour 😃. The font is 8.5 pt correct? It looks different from the Milo. Maybe not but somehow looks a smaller print than normal. I'm also going to try to stick with Joe's CSB 4 month plan, but we'll see! I'm using my brown goat Single column personal size for now, as I'm awaiting a brown goat CSB Readers in the mail. The SCPS is working very well so far though for the read through! 🙌🏼 It'll be nice if you can join the group!
It is an 8.5 Milo Serif font! It appears bolder due to the smaller font size. You chose some amazing CSB bibles! I'm hoping they update the CSB Reader's to the 2020 text sometime soon.

How do you like it a few months in?

Glad you love it! How is the yapp training going?
@@WontonDisciple it's good. Some places are better than others because of where I hold the Bible.
Agree with you 💯on the Tuscany John. It’s hands down my favorite Schuyler cover. Thank you for the review. 👌
Glad you love it, too, Mike!

It's definitely a favorite of mine! Hopefully we'll see some more color options, soon. Not the biggest fan of the Tuscany color, personally.
I actually love the way that spine looks! 7:13
I'm a fan, too!

How has color changed with patina?
Schylur says its Burnt Sienna under gold for the foil
Nice video again John next bible draft you need to be on it
That'd be so cool! I don't mind watching the Tims hash it out, though. Thanks for the kind comment 🙏

Glad to have you back! Hope all is well. I really love this calfskin, but I think I'll be grabbing that olive green once it releases 😁

Tuscany and Desert Camel are available in many formats right now, they're loading up for the holiday shopping push.

Hey John, if you’re not using the PSQ, I’d be interested in buying it
I....I think I'm in love. Seriously nice bible you've got there. :)
😂😂😂 thank you, friend
It matches your logo kind of.
That's true!

It’s hard for me to tell on video, is it more of a yellow or orange color?
It's kind of a taxi orange. Super hard to describe. Very polarizing color...definitely not my favorite personally.
@@WontonDisciple thanks
Nice review broham
Ribbons are easy to change out. Change a couple on your older bibles to get practice and than do this one.
