Hope you don’t mind a video learning all about Clouds ☁️ 😄 Got something a little different coming out next week where I’m trying to teach someone how to play yugioh in stages. Episode 1 is Normal Monsters/ Spells & Traps. And spoiler it’s over an hour long haha Anyway hope you enjoyed the video, have a good day 😁
Hmmm when a cloud gets to heavy and begins to collapse, that's when rain, hail and snow is formed, right? So every time there's a rainstorm, we can say the clouds are exploding.
If only they'd shared the effect of spreading fog counters on self destruction by that effect (or just as a general floating effect when leaving the field).
14:47Actually, if both players run 1 copy of Mask of Remnants they can continuously draw it and shuffle it back into the deck each turn, meaning Nimbusman's maximum attack is theoretically infinite
"When I was a kid,I thought clouds were made of cotton candy or wool or anything similarly squishy and potentially delicious as I imagine many other kids also did because, let's be honest, look at these things. So when I got on an airplane for the first time ever when I was like 8 or 9,my mom went 'Guess what,we're gonna go up to the clouds!' and I get filled up with an overwhelming amount of bliss as I go 'Yay! I'm gonna eat all the clouds!' but as soon as we started approaching the stratosphere,my child-like joy and wonder drained from my face and turned into absolute horrified resignation as I realized 'This shit is just water. You can't eat water.' and coincidentally, you also can't eat Cl-Cloudians." - Rat Man (Runt12YGO),Legacy of the Worthy Cloudians.
@@metalgamer7024 beginning of his video he does that speech but was edited for unknown reasons from this dude. Maybe his shape was snatched and ran off to the ruler of the underworld to fix up the words.
Here's a fun fact those towers you showed on the bit about pollution are called cooling towers. The vapour shown is actually pure (unpolluted) water. Cooling waters are used to evaporate water used in industrial plants that is too hot to dump in a river or lake. For some reason they are incorrectly associated with air pollution.
15:07 a hurricane/cyclone is a massive storm that has huge winds, severe rain and an eye at the center where it is the calmest while a tornado is simply overwhelming winds that cause massive destruction and pull clouds into them as well as anything else around them not sure if there is a difference between a tornado, a typhoon or a twister though
Umm, Tornados and Hurricanes are essentially two different things when it comes to specifics. One has a faster wind speed than the other and size is sometimes a factor. Fun video tho lol
Also Tornados are land-based and very rarely occurr due to so few places that have the appropriate geography, while Hurricanes (and most other windstorms) are sea-based and much more common.
I literally just watched the 2 part episode of Yu-Gi-Oh! GX "Head in the clouds" this morning, which was the episode these cards debuted in. What the heck.
Cyclone is actually a different thing, not just what we australians call them. Due to the coriolis effect, cyclones actually spin in the opposite direction then typhoons and tornados, which would make them a different weather event, although extremely similar
I always love your content bc not always do we learn about the card themselves but also lore and real life topics like clouds in this case. Much love for your content
I actually made a Cloudian Link Monster Cloudian - Mist Titan Link 4 ↙️⬆️↘️⬇️ WATER ATK 3000 *LINK-4* [Fairy/Link/Effect] 2 + “Cloudian” monsters Cannot be destroyed by battle. You can only use the 2nd and 3rd effects of this card’s name once per turn. (1) “Cloudian” monsters this card points to cannot be destroyed by card effects. (2) you can place Fog Counters on each monster on the field. (3) you can take control of 1 monster on your opponent’s field with a Fog Counter, it becomes a WATER Fairy monster. So Sam what do you think of it?
A board of Altus + Cirrostratus + Dragon and at least 1 Squall and either Spirit Barrier or Sanctuary in the Sky back in 2008/2009 was quite a fearsome field on Locals at least (since it destroyed 1 Monster per turn + ripped 1 card out of their hand per turn), although way too slow and inconsistent and not enough payoff for actual competitive Yugioh. Nowadays Turbolence Turbo with Links and trying to get linkarrows for a Bahamutshark into Toadally is probably the best of their plays and its not even a bad one considering their Timeperiod with no later support. I like them. Clouds are fun.
Little correction, when you showed the picture for air pollution, you showed nuclear power plant coolant towers. These don't actually put pollution in the air, it's just steam
there are two other things poison cloud could also reference 1 mustard gas(poisonous cloud that kills things pretty simple) 2 sulfuric acid fog(a phenomenon that happens when it rains near a sulfuric acid lake or pond where a mist of highly poisonous gas forms around it Killing anything that enters))
I just subscribed to your channel. Your lore is engaging to anyone interested in the game whether casual or competitive. I like that! Keep up the great quality work you do.
Wow! I feel like you have read my comment on simplyunlucky about cloudian. I love those. Very nice. I have watch your stuff to learn more about yugioh cards and it archetype.
These are so interesting. I don't play Yugioh any more, Magic is pretty much what I play now but I love the lore between the Yugioh archetypes. I was always so interested in the crazy amount of archetypes
tornadoes and twisters are the same thing but are different from hurricanes and typhoons. a hurricane/typhoon form over the ocean and are strong longer lasting storms fed by the warm ocean water. a tornado/twister form when 2 fronts of different pressure meet creating a strong twisting wind
When this archetype came into the game i liked it so much. I wish they made it at least a viable deck but that wasn't the option. Hopefully it will receive some love one day
I am now ready for your spin off of yu-gi-oh trivia. YU-GI-OH! Theory! Content would included can you count your deck to get the "heart of the cards" and draw the card you need exactly. Or the theories behind the card art to most of the "interesting" cards in the game.
@@aparzoo well yeah, but it could produce fog counters, protect other cloudians/itself from card effects, do burn damage when Cloudians use their effects or give it an attack boost, special summon other cloudians from the hand/GY. There's a lot it could do to make Cloudians stronger
@@darkdjinniumbrage7798 no you're right of course but itd be better off as another extra deck monster or main deck cloudian. Because they dont have the resources or playstyle to easily produce a link, on top of the fact that they dont necessarily need a link bc the archetype doesn't have extra deck monsters, of they got support it wouldn't be a link
@@aparzoo that is true. I think the only way they could make a Link viable is with the smoke ball spam using Turbulence, or you could throw in Agent of Creation Venus and mystical shine balls, but I know how much people dislike vanilla monsters for some reason
there are actually lakes that get filled with poisonous gases from volcanos and geysers and release them during earthquakes causing a flood of poison gas to pour down to areas lower then they are.
no hurricanes are tornadoes that form over the ocean or a large body of water and generally get a lot bigger and last a lot longer as well as having an eye that it basically immune to its effects as long as you stay in the center of it, america uses both tornadoes and hurricanes, don't underestimate us! we're smart occasionally
So 4 years late on this...but randomly...I just thought of a Fog Cloud OTK...have Updraft Face down...have 2-3 Fog Clouds on the field....crash into your opponent. If it's a level 8 monster, that's 16-24 Fog Counters spread across all monsters. Activate Updraft (if it was already there) and burn your opponent for either 4800 or 7200 with just those alone. Very janky but would be hilarious if able to be pulled off.
i love cloudian i hope they get support soon cause i miss using them....maybe Storm Cloudian that can have fog counters stick to the monsters that get summoned from the extra deck if they use a monster with fog counters..eh eh?
I played this deck and thought itll be indestructible and thought I'll be on Cloud 9 but I didn't read it properly and lost horribly. People, just because they cant be destroyed by battle, you cant avoid battle damage. Put in some cards like sanctuary in the sky to avoid battle damage or get your head out of the clouds

Hurricane Sam seems pretty legit man. I bet you’ll be proud when that ever happens
Do the Blackwing archetype and all the cards that I help them
wouldn't Fog King be apart of this group
I use the fuck out of cloudians on duel links for farming lmfao
Do you rember me man
Man I hate it when clouds self destruct in front of me.
Ah, me too I especially hate it when they self destruct while I’m inside them
That’s bc the reptilian government has been cloud seeding
Hmmm when a cloud gets to heavy and begins to collapse, that's when rain, hail and snow is formed, right? So every time there's a rainstorm, we can say the clouds are exploding.
We need a mudkip with its hidden ability
I think going into defense mode and self destructing is a reference to a cloud raining and dissipating.
Aromaseraphy Cinnamon makes sense tbf! And awesome profile pic btw. I’m enjoying Zombie Land Saga too :D
In that case, better pack plenty of books of the moon or similar cards.
