I think the "danger?" Ones imitate the trope of "something rapidly moves among the darkness, you look around but cant pin down the creature. Finally you hear it behind a bush, you get close to examine it as the air gets tenser and tenser....only to find out the thing that made the sound was a harmless animal. You take a breath of relief, what a cute guy inside a deadly forest. But this is a mere distraction as the camera pans out and reveals the big monster behind you." This is why finding the danger? cards is a bad thing, while finding the Danger! cards is a good thing. Danger? Are distractions meant to let the big ones creep up on you, this is why Jackalope summons a Danger! monster when you find it. Because finding it lets the big guy catch you off guard.

I think that the question mark is on Tsuchinoko and Jakelope since those cryptids can be easly mistaken for a normal snake or a rabbit. So its suppose to be read like you are wondering "IS it a tsuchinoko? Or just a fat snake?"
I would love to see more Danger cards based on other cryptids. But I’d also like to see cards based on the research team. The art does have a few recurring characters on the team like the scientist and the big buff military guy. I think they’d be cool additions.
In the case of the Jackrabbithorned rabbits, they may have been based on rabbits afflicted with a disease that causes growths to occur mostly in the head area. Mothman, Owls. Specifically the glow from their eyes being reflected, and owl vocalisations can be rather eerie. being chased by a large, unfamiliar birds can be exaggerated.
Something interesting to note is that the claim of the taxidermy hoax being the origins of the legend of the jackalope is false. The legend is actually much older, found in the Cherokee legends of Rabbit who is their trickster just like Loki or Coyote in other mythologies. The Cherokee Rabbit (Tsisdu) is where the stories of Brer Rabbit originate as well but in the Cherokee legends, he originally had a pair of antlers which he lost in a race with Little Deer. The word jackalope is the only thing that is relatively new as stories of antlered rabbits go back thousands of years.
I love this archetype simply because of how fun it is to play with, in my eyes it’s not serious with itself and yet that’s what makes it so strong and sometimes unpredictable! Also the pink snake is so precious and I will literally get 10 if not 20 of them cuties🥰🥰
i think the questionmarks are cause the jackalope and the tsuchinoko can easily be explained with science as just being a fat snake and a rabbit with a head tumour
The question mark in the lvl 3 monsters are because those two are less "proven" to possibly exist and are more chalked up to hallucinations. The Jackalope is mostly thought to only be seen when hallucinating or drunk and the Tsuchinoko is also thought to be some trick of the eyes. All the other dangers have some kind of photo/video "proof" of its existence.
@@Ramsey276one One, use caps lock responsibility sir. Two, true I think with both they just run from you. I don't know about the snake, I haven't done that much research into Japanese cryptids.
@@Ramsey276one yes it is 😂😂😂 even more so since those confusions rather surficed in recent years. Before that people didn't confuse them with one another and I have now idea how that happened to turn out that way😂😂😂
I think the reason for the question mark is because they are the only ones that look more like their real animal counterparts, snake and rabbit. The other are unmistakable in their appearance and would be easily picked out while the other two would need a few glances and some squinting.
5:40 you can also find a Tsuchinoko in another Konami property: It shows up in a few Castlevania games, specifically Aria of Sorrow (and I blieve Dawn of Sorrow as well)
7:21 my own two cents, a weird gimmick I see with Tsuchinoko’s is that they’re bloody EVERYWHERE, when there is one Tsuchinoko, there is also 20 more. Do Tsuchinoko still summoning itself is present of the idea that ‘oh look you captured me, here’s more’. In comparison, Jackalope doesn’t get captured, he just runs away, leading explorers to face another Danger! Card, hence why it summons from the deck
SCPs aren't cryptids though. Almost all of them are fictional. Some of them are based off of real events and some of the cryptids in the danger archetype have been put into SCP lore, but most SCPs are clearly fictional or can be traced back to a creator
@@preafyx as he said but not going into danger! because danger! is cryptic its like saying be awesome to see godzilla as a hero because heros fight monsters spcs are cool but they dont need to be in every demon fiend or myth based deck
Something I just realized about the weaker monsters summoning a stronger monster might be similar to how in movies you see a small creature that isn't a threat but a bigger threat is about to pounce on the main character
the reason Tsuchenoko and Jackalope have a question mark is because unlike the other danger! cards they aren't nessisarily dangerous, and the "real" Jackalope and Tsuchenoko are believed to not be aggressive.
although technically Nessie isn't widely believed to be hostile, she is supposed to be a giant dinosaur so she could probably eat you if she were real and you made her mad.
In case where he missed. The lev 3 are discovered and "affraid" or run, the lvl 4 or 5 are discovered but stay far from human, and the high level attack them
Funny thing about Jackalope and dogman... There's an actual real life explination for them. There's a condition that some rabbits can get that cause horn like growths show up and split the skin, then grow into horns. It's, if I remember biology right, a type of bone cancer. Dogman, well there's a condition where people grow insane amounts of hair all over their body. similar to Beast from X-men, and occasionally it'll be matched with a growth deformity with the jaw to give a snout like look. That condition where people grow hair, might also be the reason for werewolf lore in europe.
I think the "danger?" Ones imitate the trope of "something rapidly moves among the darkness, you look around but cant pin down the creature. i think the questionmarks are cause the jackalope and the tsuchinoko can easily be explained with science as just being a fat snake and a rabbit with a head tumour
And THEY ATE NOT DANGEROUS
XD
@@Ramsey276one One, use caps lock responsibility sir. Two, true I think with both they just run from you. I don't know about the snake, I haven't done that much research into Japanese cryptids.
Thank you TGS Anime! I’ve been waiting for you to do this video
El Chupacabra is a Latin American cryptid
I LOLed when I saw it
A certain mayor probably got a few copies in the mail
XD
@@Ramsey276one it's allways a problem that people confuse spain and latin america
@@davidmartin5483 considering how far apart they are, it’s hilarious
@@Ramsey276one yes it is 😂😂😂 even more so since those confusions rather surficed in recent years. Before that people didn't confuse them with one another and I have now idea how that happened to turn out that way😂😂😂
People have claimed to see Nessie long before that photo. Don't count her out just yet.
I’m going to find and maybe with my luck be visited by one?
*Danger? Tsuchinoko slither near into her deck and Danger? Jackalope hope into the deck*
Love these trivia videos. Definitely makes you appreciate the research put into these cards
I kinda want to throw them alongside dark worlds sounds fun
I don’t remember if their discard triggers dark worlds. Just a point to make sure of ahead of time
People done that already lol
That was an ftk for a while
Like I said "fun"
Btw the chupacabra Is a central American cryptid, not a Spanish one.
"Zarc. What?!"
I think the reason for the question mark is because they are the only ones that look more like their real animal counterparts, snake and rabbit. The other are unmistakable in their appearance and would be easily picked out while the other two would need a few glances and some squinting.
Can you do Yugioh character profile for Vrains
You should ask for yosenju
5:40 you can also find a Tsuchinoko in another Konami property: It shows up in a few Castlevania games, specifically Aria of Sorrow (and I blieve Dawn of Sorrow as well)
Crazy old Morrice lmfao.
Beauty and the beast reference
😉
7:21 my own two cents, a weird gimmick I see with Tsuchinoko’s is that they’re bloody EVERYWHERE, when there is one Tsuchinoko, there is also 20 more. Do Tsuchinoko still summoning itself is present of the idea that ‘oh look you captured me, here’s more’. In comparison, Jackalope doesn’t get captured, he just runs away, leading explorers to face another Danger! Card, hence why it summons from the deck
Imagen the Danger gets like SCP added in like 939 and 682
SCPs aren't cryptids though. Almost all of them are fictional. Some of them are based off of real events and some of the cryptids in the danger archetype have been put into SCP lore, but most SCPs are clearly fictional or can be traced back to a creator
@@turdy_water7646 I know but it would be great to see some of them as monsters
we have myutants for SCP
@@preafyx as he said but not going into danger! because danger! is cryptic its like saying be awesome to see godzilla as a hero because heros fight monsters spcs are cool but they dont need to be in every demon fiend or myth based deck
Definitely my favorite Archetype for the art and theme.
Please do the Galaxy/Photon Archetype soon!
There a Danger! On the duel board!!!
The mothman sounds inspired by the jeepers creepers monster
Wait a Jackalope aren’t real.... I thought there actually a real thing.
Apparently rabbits can grow antler shaped tumors
@@Kefkaownsall That’s sad....
no of the mosters are real u have to be brainless or stupid to even believe in this crap
Honestly it and the tschinoko are like the most realistic cryptid, just a kind of weird looking animal
@@killer6ten rabbits can grow antler shaped tumors.
What was that beautiful music you were playing while reading through the spells and traps ... it soothes my soul 😅
I would love to see the Phantom Knights.
Something I just realized about the weaker monsters summoning a stronger monster might be similar to how in movies you see a small creature that isn't a threat but a bigger threat is about to pounce on the main character
Hello
the reason Tsuchenoko and Jackalope have a question mark is because unlike the other danger! cards they aren't nessisarily dangerous, and the "real" Jackalope and Tsuchenoko are believed to not be aggressive.
although technically Nessie isn't widely believed to be hostile, she is supposed to be a giant dinosaur so she could probably eat you if she were real and you made her mad.
Can you pls start doing Character Profiles for Vrains
In case where he missed. The lev 3 are discovered and "affraid" or run, the lvl 4 or 5 are discovered but stay far from human, and the high level attack them
In fact the lvl 3 are not dabger. The lvl 4/5 are probably dangerous and the high level are the predator
The leven are for the size too. The smaller one zte the low level. The human size are the middle level, and the big one, well you understand
I LOVE YOU!!!
