Hey Patrick! For the floating egg hack: if an egg floats, THEN it's bad. Gases exist in a bad egg, which makes the egg float in water. Quickest way to tell good vs bad eggs on a ranch.
do 100 year baseball food i baseball game eat 2 hotdog with kecup and msutard and fires for 5.50$ and 2.00$ drink and big soft bake cookie $0.88 i got 2010$ put area video
For the hard boiled egg trick where you put it in the Mason jar, you're supposed to let the eggs cool before you shake them up. That's why they keep exploding.
The Garlic Peel shake thing. Don't do it in the jar,,, but you can. I use two bowls the same size and put the garlic in and then overturn them and do the same shake for about 30 seconds. I only suggest that, because those ball containers can be a pest with the metal top.
Ha ha, the can opener trick works Patrick, you have to put the blade on the outside of the can, not on top. The downside of opening a can like that is that you cannot use the little lids that are made for gripping on the metal lip of a can. With the ice cream hack, heat your spoon in a hot cup of water rather than melting the ice cream in the container.
Transfer the peanutbutter in a air tight glass container with a wide opening. Pre mix it and put some honey and salt for flaver if you like, then through it in the fridge after you transfer and pre mix, and the oil doesn't seperate and you can spread your natural nut butter without an oily mess everytime.
The egg float hack does work. If your egg starts to go BAD, it creates gas inside the egg causing it to float. If you had eggs in your fridge past the expiration date and cant get more, you can use that test to see if they are safe to eat. If they sink its good. If they float half way, they are going bad and float to the top, toss em.
Good point - I thought that was what he was going to do. With water (and not shaking too hard) it works well to peel eggs. The problem is you then have a mix of eggshell and water to dispose of. I stopped using this hack because I didn't think pouring small pieces of eggshell down the drain would do the drain much good. In the end it's easier to peel an egg with a spoon or your fingers.
Feel Good to watch Patrick. great fan of your cooking . I'm watching Patrick from since last 2 years. you are a great cook and i love the series of your videos where you show us the food of late 90's.
Dude I watched you cuz I saw you in a different culinary video..... after about 15 of your videos. You're like the red headed step child of the UA-cam cooking channels.
already used the one of the garlic many times, the accordeon strips also, for peeling a boiled egg easy what i use to do is after boiling the egg i put it on cold water, and after a few second i take the egg and peel it easy :)
You messed up the egg hack. Old eggs float because of gas buildup as it ages. Fresh eggs sink. And it does work. And just leave butter out. It doesn’t need refrigeration. I love and use the hack of herbs and garlic in butter and oil cubes. They even sell a divided tray for it.
Cut cherry / grape tomatoes. Take 2 plastic lids from that have a rim (from 8, 16 oz storage containers). Sandwich tomatoes between lids, rim side facing tomatoes, so that they don’t run around and than cut between them with a knife
To separate cloves from garlic, place cutting board on top of garlic with root side up and smash with fist or meat pounder, the cloves will separate. ( best if you do this on a cookie sheet so that the mess doesn’t fly all over the kitchen
Stick your onion in the refrigerator overnight, not the freezer. It will chop up beautifully and no tears. Been doing this trick for years. For peeling the boiled egg in a jar, you need to add some water then shake the egg in the jar.
2 mins in and enjoying the tips. Think the tomato problem could be fixed with plates that are more shallow. Do similar but plates are both face up for a little more visibility.
With the egg hack, I thought the bad eggs are suppose to float because of the gasses forming in the egg are making the bad egg float? Or have I been wrong this whole time..
The Onion hack for watery eyes, the reason why it didn't work is you put it in the freezer instead of the fridge. I do this hack all the time and it works perfectily if you put it in the fridge and it doesn't make your fridge smell either like people might think🙂 and the egg hack for peeling shells, they have to cool down first in ice water then put them in the jar and shake
21:00 thats literally just a cooking method we use in the kitchen in restaurants... or just any kitchen in fact (its called chopping onions or from my native language "ui snipperen")
For the potato to absorb the saltiness of a dish it has to be a raw potato and it needs to be cut in half so that there’s surface area to absorb the salt and it really only works if it’s a little bit too salty to throw a whole bowl of salt into it it won’t work. But I have done this many times and it does work
A hacks for the butter;put a bit of butter on a plate, take a glass and fill up with hot water and leave for a few sec, take out the water, set the hot glass over the plate, the glass then makes the butter softer.
Even better: butter doesn’t need refrigeration. It can remain soft and edible for a couple of months in a covered dish. Even longer if it’s in a tureen,
the consciousness is difficult to get through , because on some level we feel it and somehow others know this even if we don't realize what we're getting.
put a couple of wooden toothpicks through a potato, will be cooked all the way through in the microwave, with no hard areas. If you keep the root on the onion, you can cross cut it without it slipping about, and it won't bleed as much.
Most of these are common sense that people have used for decades. Have to say i laughed till i cried when you were facinated by what is literally a CHEESE SHAVER
I'm facepalming at the mayonnaise. That's not a hack. That's just the recipe for mayo! It'd be like me saying "i got this great hack for making hamburgers!" And then just describe how to fry a patty of ground beef and put it on a bun.
I tried to make mayonaise 100 times with hack you showed. Failed 99 times. Last one eggs and oil was room temperature before blending and I finally succeeded.
Is there another way to dice an onion? Your "hack" is the only way I've ever seen it done. I don't understand how more people don't use parchment paper for bacon. Never again in a pan or skillet for me. I don't put anything on top of it though. Done in 20 minutes without paying attention to it. I like your frozen garlic hack. It would make sense to make the same number of sections as the number of cloves used so it easier for recipes since one square would be one clove.
Here to comment on the egg hack as I grew up on a farm. If the egg is good, it will sink. If it's starting to go bad it will start floating. If you noticed how high that first egg bounced on being dropped in, it's still good but not for much longer.
If you want to melt ice cream perfectly take the the lid off put it in the microwave for like 10 seconds or more depending on what you like and your done

Haha I didn't see your comment and just posted the same one lol.

Amazing vídeo! Really enjoy your content ☺️🩷
A tip about making homemade mayo add 2-3 spoons of sour yogurt and it tastes amazing
I put a 1/2 teaspoon of Dijon mustard in mine. It gives it a slight tangy taste

I was going to say the same.
I was muttering "Other side, Dude" while I was watching that
Its always a good day when Patrick uploads 😊
That was impressive!

Came here just to comment this. It's the best hack ever.
Good job Patrick!!!
I love you Patrick, good video ❤
Some kitchen hacks would work if you did them correctly. For example: 21:26 you just need to add water.
You should’ve use plastic containers lids as the holder, plates won’t do at 0:10
That still is considered a fail in my opinion, wouldn't It make the eggs taste not that good?
Patrick, at 8:33, the potato probably doesn’t work with sauces, just works in water
Plates knife hack was depth of plate. Shallow plate would still hold them and any flat top could be used.

I LOVE THESE VIDEOS
Learned a few things. Thanx
Your life hacks are pretty interesting Patrick. I feel so good watching this video you did.
The can opener one works u just didn’t do it right and u just gave up immediately
Feel Good to watch Patrick. great fan of your cooking .
I'm watching Patrick from since last 2 years.

Love your videos dude! One of the best youtubers out there
Love your videos.
Patrick will you please do 100 years of military food, if it's possible? 😊❤
THE MAYO!
These vids are addicting man
Hey, thanks for the wooden spoon hack. It would work even better with a wooden spatula.
you put so much salt in, the potato works when things are slightly oversalted not when you've put 1/4 cup of salt in about 300mls of sauce...
5:53 i have a better havk for this one...peel the potatoes before boiling them🤦♂️
Great vid more please!
Sweet foods!

Chef Rush: NO NEED THAT DAMMIT
2:38 my mum has an ice cube tray dedicated to garlic and freezes them😂😂
To separate cloves from garlic, place cutting board on top of garlic with root side up and smash with fist or meat pounder, the cloves will separate. ( best if you do this on a cookie sheet so that the mess doesn’t fly all over the kitchen
Crushing the bulb apart in your hands is much faster.
3:41 the look of disapointment! lol 😂

I am now your subscriber. Please post more videos I like watching you. 😊
Another day another Patrick vid
2 mins in and enjoying the tips. Think the tomato problem could be fixed with plates that are more shallow. Do similar but plates are both face up for a little more visibility.
i like the chopping onions lifehack it just changed my life!
your making me hungry by just watching your videos
*uses cheese grater the way it should be used* wow
The onion in the freezer definitely works, but NOT overnight 🤣 all it takes is at least 15 minutes.
When you put the boiled egg in the jar to peel the egg, make sure you have cooled the egg in cool water first. lol, it does work great 😄 😅 😀 😆 😜
With the egg hack, I thought the bad eggs are suppose to float because of the gasses forming in the egg are making the bad egg float? Or have I been wrong this whole time..
You're right. Bad eggs float 'cause the air chamber is broken.

Fresh eggs should rest on the bottom, old eggs and bad eggs will float. I raise chickens so I would know.
For the potato to absorb the saltiness of a dish it has to be a raw potato and it needs to be cut in half so that there’s surface area to absorb the salt and it really only works if it’s a little bit too salty to throw a whole bowl of salt into it it won’t work. But I have done this many times and it does work
yes my mom do it all the time
The first one is trash because of the shape of the plates. If you used two light weight flat plastic cutting boards it would probably work very well.
A hacks for the butter;put a bit of butter on a plate, take a glass and fill up with hot water and leave for a few sec, take out the water, set the hot glass over the plate, the glass then makes the butter softer.

Very cool video
⭐Cool video⭐
If the egg floats it’s rottan and if it’s sinks it’s good to eat😊
I have used the garlic hack for years , I also use the same hack on onions
;plpo
the consciousness is difficult to get through , because on some level we feel it and somehow others know this even if we don't realize what we're getting.
you should have cut the potato when putting in the sauce filled with too much salt
And maybe not a full cup of salt, it does have it's limits
My potatoes melt in the bag…. 😂😂
put a couple of wooden toothpicks through a potato, will be cooked all the way through in the microwave, with no hard areas. If you keep the root on the onion, you can cross cut it without it slipping about, and it won't bleed as much.
I love that the wow flips cause it says mom when its upside down and i kinda find that funny
on 47 try using cold water to cool the egg down. it may of been too hot in the video.
Most of these are common sense that people have used for decades. Have to say i laughed till i cried when you were facinated by what is literally a CHEESE SHAVER
Add some water with the egg in the jar to peel it without ruin the egg.
The edit at 13:54 made me laugh harder then it should be
When I chop onions, I never need to cut it in half after I've sliced it. It's just an extra step for dicing
If you put your ice cream in a zip lock bag and throw it in the freezer it’ll keep it softer. I do it all the time.
I'm facepalming at the mayonnaise.
That's not a hack. That's just the recipe for mayo!
It'd be like me saying "i got this great hack for making hamburgers!" And then just describe how to fry a patty of ground beef and put it on a bun.
Same with peanut butter TBF. Everything else in the stuf is to stabilise it and make it last longer.
Patriks a star
0:39 Oh, DaveHax will be mad!
lol true
I tried to make mayonaise 100 times with hack you showed. Failed 99 times. Last one eggs and oil was room temperature before blending and I finally succeeded.
If it sinks it’s fresh if it’s rotten it floats because there’s more air in the egg if rotting
0:51 that's kinda sus...
Your video wowowoowowowo❤❤
Peal hard boiled egg. Put it in jar will with some cold water, shake enough to make little cracks in shell, take out and peal easily
Patrick should do a challenge where he tries to make multiple dishes with 1 ingredient
Is this guy alright if the egg sinks its fresh and when it floats its bad
Is there another way to dice an onion? Your "hack" is the only way I've ever seen it done. I don't understand how more people don't use parchment paper for bacon. Hello from Spain, with the ice-cream try putting it in the microwave for 20seconds.
Epic🎉🎉🎉
7:55 Bro I just immediately knew what that looked like before the edit came through.. Haven't laughed so hard in a while
Here to comment on the egg hack as I grew up on a farm. If the egg is good, it will sink. If it's starting to go bad it will start floating. If you noticed how high that first egg bounced on being dropped in, it's still good but not for much longer.
Please make a video about 100 years of hotels foods
Like if you want him to do this
is turning peanuts into peanut butter really a hack, lol
7:02 just a bit too much 😆🤣
Yeah, just a bit. 😵💫
@@gailg7509ya
the egg hack DOES WOORKKKKKKKKK
You should make a 5 ingredient cook book
that would be cool
the can opener trick works (I use it) you help the can opener opposite
That water egg hack at 3:30 and the can opener hacks at 4:30 do work, I do them all the time
23:19
Dude. Whoever invented or uses this life hack. You. Are. A. Monster.
Epic Cook
The oil hack.....after frying whatever drop in a slice of bread and the bread picks up all the bits
The blender hack is used everytime I and my grandmother make a milkshake
Chop onion with out tearing up. Keep water in bowl and sprinkle on onion and your hands while chopping
Instead of putting the ice cream under water put the spoon under water
If you want to melt ice cream perfectly take the the lid off put it in the microwave for like 10 seconds or more depending on what you like and your done
That's what I do. I put it on defrost for 30 seconds. Scoops right up without being all melty.
14:38 its not a hack its a recipe.
