Do you know a bad rabbit owner? Comment below!
I don’t personally know any rabbit owners but myself!
My teacher said he wants to see my bunny in a stew...
Lorlie there is no such thing as a "Bad Rabbit Owner" but something else called "An Owner Who Makes Mistakes" and their not "Bad" as long as they see and FIX their mistakes. Only then can you call them "bad."
my bestfriend
Me I’m a bad owner 🥺 my bunny live in dog kennels I don’t wan them to but my parents hate free roam I let them out as much as I can there Dutch bunny both are sister not spaded cause my parents think there is not point and so they keep attacking each other- pleaseeee help me
A man came to work on some construction stuff outside my house the other day, and my mom mentioned to him we had rabbits. The first thing he asked was if they were in a cage or free roaming! So glad more people are starting to care.
Wow, that's great!
Thats so cool!
Since I got my rabbits, there have been plumbers, HVAC, and cable guys in here a number of times. They all thinks it's hilarious that the rabbits just run around freely, like dogs or cats.
That's great hear!!
That great. My cousin came to my house and see my rabbits then she asked me "do you want a rabbits cage ? I have it". I'm like NO NO.
I’m a new bunny mom and any time I question what I’m doing with my bunny Clover, I come straight to your channel. Just taking in info from you, has already helped clover & I form a closer relationship. Thank you Lorelei!
Same.. I adopted two bunnies about one and a half weeks ago and I often am questioning myself, wether I am making mistakes or why bunny just thumped at something. I always get very very scared because of the smallest things when it comes to them. I put pressure on myself to be one of the best bunny owners and I try to make everything right. Then I watch Lorelei's videos and I realise that even if I make mistakes, I still do a lot of good stuff for them and we are bonding pretty quickly and well. It just takes away a lot of the pressure and I also feel grateful to have found her channel and get some help through her videos.🖤
i hope you get clover an actual mate honestly as that's the only right way to have bunnies.
Same friend! My bun, Fury, has turned my life on its head 😂 I found a second Bun mom to learn from too! If you haven't found her yet, search for Cinnabun the Bunny. She teaches a lot, too!
A lot of pet owners are a little misinformed but have good intentions. I appreciate channels like yours that don't attack people for making mistakes and actually try to help people improve.
It never works when you attack someone! They get defensive and won't listen
@@lazyhomebody1356 agreed
Right I owned rabbits as a child and didn’t free roam them , I wasn’t trying to harm them on purpose ..I just didn’t know. I’m glad she’s nice enough to teach us
@@lazyhomebody1356 remember that sometimes people are just closed minded and won’t listen from their own ego, not something you’re doing wrong (:

This video helped me combat my depression long enough to clean the Rabbit Room (my bedroom, lol), including but not limited to cleaning all litterboxes and scrubbing the floor. Took a couple hours, but VERY worth it--both bunnies are IMMENSELY happy, I can tell by the binkies and sprawling out on their bellies. So, sincerely, thank you for that much-needed determination.
I started off as an awful rabbit owner. My rabbit was in a cage and only got out for an hour a day. Now, after watching Lennon the Bunny, I have convinced my parents to let me free roam my rabbit in my room. I even got her a companion, who she adores. Both of my rabbits now have large litterboxes, water bowls, toys, hidey houses, and tons of affection and love. I just wanted to say thank you so much for guiding me in the right direction!!!
😀
I can't trust my bunny near anything even if I hide it he cacas on the floor👁️👄👁️
@@themeowrmeowr He cacas on the floor 😂😂 love it
Lucky. My mom wont let me free roam my rabbit. So he basically lives in the kitchen (for some reason, i think its good enough. But please correct me if im wrong.) and we let him roam in the kitchen almost every day. His main area is a playpin since we cant free roam him.
@@kaiva245 thats great! An exercise pen can work great if you cannot free roam. I can rlly tell you care for your rabbit. :)
When I first got my rabbit she was in a cage. I thought it was normal for bunnies until a couple months later I found Lorelei's videos. She has completely changed my life and I am so grateful for that. Flopsie is now free roamed and is so much happier. I wish one day I could just meet Lorelei and tell her how grateful I am for her and her videos. Have a great Christmas! x
It’s so sad that not every bunny is treated how a bunny should be treated but I am so glad Lorelei is helping to educate people about how to make your bunny happy!

Do you know how long bunnies can last without food? I really need to know, i own 2 bunnies, my youngest bunny (honey) is 2 years old, my oldest bunny is 3 years old, (cookie) im not sure what happened between them. but honey stopped eating about 20 minuites ago, i went to give them their food (fresh fruit and veg) she wouldnt eat it, i gave her some hay, she didnt eat it, and she looked really scared she woukdnt even move, im so worried, what should i do? How long do they last without food?
I have 4 bunnies and I just started making content about them. I discovered you quickly and I LOVE your stuff! I am working on a video about things you should not let the pet store sell you and the cage is one of the biggest problems!
Of course I’m not a perfect rabbit owner, but Lorelei has definitely made me better. All the best❤️

Lorelei has helped me become a better rabbit owner and improve my overall relationship with my rabbit and to understand his and her needs in an easier way. I’m forever thankful to lorelei and the time she puts in to educate bunny owners
I used to be a bad rabbit owner as a child. When I grew up, I got a bunny and I loved him so much. I noticed he hated his cage and so I let him free roam. I was still not fully educated on rabbit care but at the time I did feed him lots of hay, water, and I knew to never get him wet. Later on I found myself in a situation of being abused. This situation was terrifying for me. Then my abuser ended up going after my rabbit and because the situation was so harsh and I was so scared, I released my bunny into the wild thinking that he had a better chance of survival. It broke my heart and eventually I got myself out of the abusive situation and ofcourse never found my bunny again. I ended up moving out of the state I had lived in at the time but to this day I mourn over him. When I found out how wrong it was to release the bunny I felt even worse but I decided to try and give another bunny a chance to live a good life. I regained stability in my life and adopted a bunny that I didnt know the actual age or gender of but fell in love with and vowed to care for him until he passes of old age. He is a free roamer most the time but because he is a dwarf he has to stay the night in his huge X pen because Im scared to squish him in my sleep. Thankyou for making informative content and helping people help these special little creatures.
You've come a long way, and try to do your best, even through uncertain times. Be proud of yourself for coming so far! You have alot of love to give to your bun, they're our little friends for life 💖
Im so sorry to hear that just know that you're not alone and you did what you thought was the best thing to do so don't be mad at yourself about it I'm sure you r a perfect rabbit owner now i wish you and your bunny all the best. Lots of love 💕 🐰

It makes me sad that people don't know more about bunnies and treat them bad without even realising. Thank you for educating us and helping us to become better bunny parents 🥰
I adopted my bunny from a shelter a few months ago. He grew up in the shelter, unable to get along with any of the other rabbits although the staff tried time and time again. He wasn't big on humans either, but now he's a free roaming bunny, enjoying a life full of binkies and zoomies. He stands next to my bed in the morning, waiting for me to wake up and cuddle him. He's still not quite as trustful as my previous bunnies, but he has become a very happy bunny while being here! Channels like yours are most of the reasons why I've been able to help him feel comfortable. Please keep educating and inspire bunny lovers as you already do! It makes such a big difference for those of us who really wish to give bunnies the best possible lives.
And you love him for what he is able to give you, not expecting more or comparing him to other more affectionate bunnies!
I also have a sassy bun and he brings me so much joy!! So glad you treasure your little bun! I learned to respect my bunny's sass and bonded with him by teaching him tricks. He loves it and will binky all around the house! I even managed to bond him with another bun (took 7 months, but it was worth it!). My other bun is super sweet, cuddly, affectionate (licks me constantly) and then I have Mr. Sass. I love them both so much for their unique personalities! Bunnies are truly amazing :)
My bun is also very against being around other bunnies, but she loves humans. Glad to hear your bunny found a good home!
"you should always ensure you are financially ready to own a rabbit" and I was, before unemployment, sudden eviction, and a storm wiped out my power for 2 weeks. I had to do some diy care sadly.
You are also enabling the mindset that pet ownership is a privilege for the rich only.
I have to admit, I have neglected my rabbit’s litter box 2-5 times when it should of been cleaned sooner. College keeps me busy and so does feeling depressed (I do free roam her though). I feel bad about it after. I do vacuum her space a lot but I am now getting better at cleaning her box.
Where its possible, I try to use a routine. I have depression too, but a routine is helping me a little. I'm still disorganised with alot of things, but this is going to take me time to improve. Maybe some routine could help you some
same and i have adhd on top of that so anything that doesn’t engage my brain is pretty painful- i have absolutely no motivation to clean anything in my room
We use the breeze litterbox(made for cats) and use pee pads cut into 3rds to catch the urine.
I have Chronic Psychotic Depression and watching bunnies here helps me get better than all the 26 meds I tried since 1992.
Same every now and then I don’t clean the litter on time due to college stress and stuff and I also feel bad
My daughter has like a entire playground for her sweet bunny. I was really impressed with the space and care she put into her impulse need to buy the bunny at the store. Between raising my grandson, haveing a dog, and i think 2 cats (can't keep up) she's been amazing me with all she does.
When I first thinking of getting a rabbit i was planning on letting it be in a stupid hutch outside. I then stumbled upon your channel 2 days before I was scheduled to get my bunny, I immediately got a liter box and all the correct things! She went from going to be in a hutch to free roam of the house 24/7
I got my first bunny when I was only 6 years old and my dad insisted that he live in a hutch outside. While he was at work, though, my mom would let me bring Peter into the house to run around or be carried around like a baby (by yours truly). Still, it always bothered me that he spent his nights- and my days at school- outside alone. The hutch was moved into the garage during summer and winter months, but that's not particularly great either. As an adult, it brings me so much joy to keep my bunnies inside with me All The Time. My dad was initially shocked to see this and to learn that they are so easy to litter train, but he was an animal lover at heart and just didn't know any different back then. And besides that- my house, my rules! 💖🐇🐇
It’s shocking to hear that there’s actually people who dump their animals outside somewhere. Bunnies, guinea pigs, dogs, cats even birds! Wth is wrong with people? We moved 5 years ago into a neighborhood where there’s wild rabbits. They like to snack on our wild strawberries & we love seeing the babies in the spring. These rabbits are not the domesticated kind. They are wild & we leave them alone & they are free to use our property as they choose.
I'm only watching this video because I rescued a domestic rabbit that I found in my backyard. And now I am educating myself on how to take of it
Bunnies are dumped a lot. 😢
@@ErBeary someone dumped a Chestnut Agouti New Zealand at the barn where I keep my horse... :/ she now free ranges and loves attention. also discovered she is about a year old because her dewlap just appeared over the past 2 months!!
We have wild rabbits in our area also, I am always leaving some of my bunny''s veggies and hay out in the yard for them to forage on also besides the grasses and stuff they eat in our yard. We recently found out that we have a wild bunny living under our house, we had a bug inspection and when the guy was under the house he saw it. He knew we had a bunny in the house and thought ours got out so he blocked the exit and then came in and asked me where our bunny was. When I pointed to her in the room he told me about the one under the house, I told him it was our resident wild bunny, he went out and unblocked the exit so it could continue to come and go as it wanted. Makes me happy to know it has a safe place so sleep.
@@lilyhannah5771 I just googled that type of rabbit, and those looks like a lot of the wild rabbits in my state. I'm surprised you were able to distinguish the difference between it and and a wild rabbit. If I saw Chestnut Auouti New Zealand rabbit I'd think it was one of the wild rabbits. The rabbit i found outside in my backyard was a Dwarf Grey Lionhead, thats all I know.
I appreciate this video so much. I found a domesticated bunny at my kid’s cross country meet. I knew nothing about rabbits, nor did I want a rabbit. However, it was obvious the bunny needed help when it stayed right by my side. So I picked it up called a bunch of vet clinics that were not open because it was the weekend.
With that being said, it’s day three with this little bunny. We have a vet appointment tomorrow and hopefully we will find out more about it & hopefully its healthy or getting there. Its poop is definitely better than when we first found it. Thank you for making all of these videos because I am reading a ton and binge watching your videos with my daughter just in case we keep this sweet little guy. I did give it a bath because it was filthy and I didn’t know what it was carrying. I now know not to wash a rabbit in a bath like I do my dogs. Live & learn. Thanks again.
When I was little I used to always want a rabbit. When I was old enough I literally educated myself by watching your videos for hours everyday. Thank you so much for teaching me how to be a bunny mom!
I’m glad for you.
Your contribution to Rabbit care and facts is beyond measure! Thank you!
If I'm being honest, I neglected my rabbits for a long time, but I've started to take amazing care of them and they have the best life ever!
It takes a lot to admit that. So happy for you and your buns
@@nicoleerlo3159 Thank you so much!
@wolfy playz same, I have two bunnies who live in a very decent sized hutch and I let them run around on my bed, when we first got them a few years ago we let them free roam but didn't know that they could get to the wiring on out couches and they peed everywhere so my parents won't let them free roam anymore( and we have dogs and cats too so it could be dangerous) but I let them roam around my bed in the winter then in the summer they go outside during the day then back in at night
We weren't good to our first bunny but now we have three and thanks to this channel I'm happy to report we are doing most everything right and will continue to improve! After the bunnies are spayed and neutered then healed from surgery we hopefully will be moving to a bigger place and can bond them and get them all out of the expens! They seem very happy and comfortable and it's all because of what you taught us!
You have brought me a long way being a rabbit owner
Yes
Same. However my bunny still sleeps in a hutch at night. I feed him nothing but hay, pellets, fresh fruits and spend time with him in the day. He licks and loves me. I want to get him neutered and into my house
my rabbit has its own 11 x 11 room. in the room is her cage made for german shepard size dogs and the door is always open.. She does like going in there to relax and eat hay.. Now she is alone in the room, but all 3 of us go in there and visit numerous times per day. And then at night i let her out to explore the living room , do some zoomies etc.,, In her room , the window is slightly open during the day and she has a way to get up there, she goes up and lays in the window quite often and sun bathes. I think she has it pretty good but im sure she gets bored sometimes when were all working or at school .
You have helped me so much!! I started off with all the wrong stuff: a corner litter box, Guinea pig cage, small hay rack, tiny house that she couldn’t even fit into! And how she’s free roam and bonded with a new bunny:) Ever since free roaming and introducing a new bunny into her life, she has trusted me so much more and been so much more open with me. Before I wasn’t able to pet her without her running off, and now she sleeps and flips right in front of me:) I wish I had come across your channel before getting her, not googling “rabbit setup” and seeing a cage :( I hope many more people can benefit from your videos
We lost our bunny , 4 after 4 years of having her , she was the life of our house. It's so depressing not to have her . It's really nice of you to help people know more about them. Honestly we learned soo much from this chanel. Now it helps us relive those moments.
I was in the pet store and showed someone your videos and helped them pick out an xpen instead of a tiny cage and a few other things! Thanks for all the knowledge 🙏
Is it just me or does her videos literally make people’s day.keep up the great work and love your content because it just keeps getting better and better.
I love this video, especially the holistic nature of your points regarding emotions, need for company and interaction and ongoing education; too often, rabbit care advice is all about the physical needs of bunnies only.
I did two months of research and watched your videos for two month before bringing home my first bunny! It’s going so well already! Thank you!
When my rabbit has done something he shouldn’t I say to him “Newt… are you doing something your not supposed to” I do it in a calm voice and than he runs away than I say after “that’s what I thought”
@@katebudge6831 Lol same as soon as I stand up calmly he stops doing what he was doing. 😂
Thank you so much for these videos!!! Last night a neighbor brought a Dutch to my house stating they were moving and going to release him if I wasn't able to help, so, now, I'm a new Rabbit Mom, Lenny Subscriber and hooked on your videos! Me and HeyHey are off to a good start, because of YOU! Keep it up!
I hope that one day no bunny has to go through this. They're literally so precious
I'm taking in two bunnies in a few days so I'm grateful I found your channel. Thank you for all the info, I've learned so much.
Lorelei’s videos have completely changed my perspective on rabbits and helped me take better care of my own:) thank you so much
Thanks!
I came by my rabbit Cashew two years ago as a baby completely by accident in New Zealand.. I had no idea how to care for a rabbit so the first thing I done was google "how to take care of a rabbit" and came across your channel. I have followed your advice to the letter and my rabbit and I have an amazing bond, I flew him home to Ireland with me and we're still going strong 💖
The best thing I did for my rabbit was to get a second one. Seeing them together made me realise how lonely the first one must of been alone.
It brightens up my day to see you upload 🤍
Definetly you are the BEST Lorelei!!!GOD bless you Lennon is a lucky bunny for having you!!!
I read a book say, "You can buy a water bottle for your bunny." And, "A cage or hutch is one of the best places for your rabbit." It even said, "A small dog or cat is a good friend for your rabbit." This book was so so sad. Lorelei can you please write a book about taking care of rabbits. So many people see rabbits the wrong way.
My rabbit is free roam in the living room and is put in the cage box only at night or when no one is home. He usually gets at least 4-8 hours out and about. He’s an only rabbit but he’s bonded with me so it’s cool. He doesn’t seem lonely and really loves snuggling up with me.
You've gained a new subscriber. I'm anxious about how I care for my two rabbits and your channel is helping me adapt to their needs outside of the research I did.
Thank you for the constant good information about rabbits. My free roaming bunny is the happiest and most affectionate one . My prior rabbits when I was younger were caged most of the time. Thanks for the knowledge.
You've helped me become a better rabbit owner since I found your channel. When I got my bun I was given some not so great advice by the person who gave her to me so we didn't bond well until I found your videos.
I just wanna say thank you for helping me have a better relationship with my rabbit.
Hi Lorelei & Lennon! I just wanna say thank you SO much for educating me. Over a year ago I started watching your channel out of pure curiosity and since then, I have fallen in LOVE with rabbits.. You have taught me so much and as of yesterday I am finally a bun mama! All of the research has paid off and I am so excited. So again, thank you.
This video actually made me cry and has made me thankful, that I have been sensitive to my bunny's needs since she came to us 5 yrs ago. She is definitely content, does her daily binkies and zoomies - mostly during the night. Her teeth are still fine after all this time and her nails get clipped regularly. Her living space is always clean, I clean it daily. I still get licks every now and then. Only thing she never tolerated is getting her hair brushed. I just stroke the excess hair out instead and watch her poopings to be on the safe side. She lives in a big two story home, the door always open when I'm there to supervise - approx. 6-12 hrs daily - and in which she feels safe and comfortable. Obviously, or else she'd jump out much more often. I'm thankful she eats well and it's funny she's not interested in bananas or apples. Her absolute favourite is carrot green and crushed dried peas as a special snack. She loves her lettuce and branches with leaves and fresh grass. I just don't know what I can do better with the possibilities that I have ...
A great suggestion I can give you, if you have enough room to place some sort of walls around her cage, they are usually very cheap and you can provide extra space even when you're not there supervising. I understand sometimes bunny proofing is either hard or impossible in some situations, but giving extra safe space I find often possible with just very little. You can then simply open it up more when you can supervise so it can roam an even greater area and be with you ♥️ send love to your little rodent from me and mine
I felt I was a bad bunny owner for the first few days after we ended up with a domesticated rescue that someone was trying to leave on the streets in a big city. Luckily, UA-cam channels like this one and The Bunny Lady's blog were extremely helpful while we had to transition FAST.
We now have a happy, healthy free-roam bunny that likes our cat, has lost a LOT of weight (she couldn't even periscope when we got her), and is always happy to see us.
Thank you for all your advice!
My friend offered me their bunny. I almost took it as the friend's bun is not in the best environment for them.
Sadly, I turned the offer down. These videos have taught me just how unprepared I am for a bunny and how not bunny safe my home is. Thank you, Lorelei! May I one day live in a good bunny place! 😍
Still slowly working on improving my bunnies' lives. All 3 of them have XXL dog cages due to lack of space in my current apartment (they take up 3/4ths of my bedroom and I've been keeping my clothes in backpacks since I haven't been able to acess my closet in over a year (totally worth it to give them more space)), but I already have an xpen for when I move in 2 weeks and get them all fixed. I'm so excited to finally give them their own designated room because I feel terrible about their current set up.
When I started having pets, I had 2 guinea pigs. I kept them in a small store bought cage, cause that's what we had when I lived with my parents. Now the store bought cage is evolved to a bunny toilet, thanks to educational videos as this one
Been watching a lot of bunny videos while waiting for my own bunnies, and I realized it's not actually very simple to own one, but still excited to have my own next month. Thank you for this videos, I'll do my best to be a good mom to my future baby bunnies ❤️
I try to spend as much time as I can with my bunny "RiRi" we seem to have good connection, watching and taking in all your advice has helped me and her have a happier life! Thank you 🐰
Hi Lorelei you always make my day, but I’m afraid to tell you that I am not going to watch you any more for a while. I woke up this morning to feed my bunny and get ready for school and sadly I saw him passed away in the litter box while I was getting his greens🙁. Thank you for taking care of your rabbit Lennon!
Our rabbit will be forever thankful to you Lorelei, because your awesome channel is the biggest reason why she's not in cage rn! When we were getting a rabbit I really thought she will need cage, but then I found you and Lennon, didn't bought the cage and I now I would NEVER put her in there🥺 She's living happily free roamed with us now so THANK U❤️
You have helped me so much with my bun journey. It makes me happy that my bunnies have a place to roam around. You have helped me be able to figure out why one of my rabbits didn't go in their litter box and now she does! Thank you so much!
I'm definitely not a perfect rabbit owner. However, I'm always going to try my best to improve. This channel has helped me so very much. I've had a rabbit when I was pretty young and I feel so disappointed and ashamed of how uneducated I was back then. I still miss my last a lot bunny, he died because I gave him to someone else for some time being, and he died due to their negligence (it was equally my mistake as well to give it to them in the first place).
I'll always try to give the best to Archie and Luca, the bunnies I have right now
I used to have my rabbit in a cage but I started watching you and convinced my parents to keep her in our house and we let her outside as long as needed but make sure that she is safe so we stay outside with her and make sure we can see her.
I very suddenly in the last 2 weeks became a rabbit owner (it was a pet dumping situation - 2 pet rabbits and their 10 or so babies, so they all needed new homes) and I've been watching and researching super quickly on how to give this bunny the best life possible. Thank you so much for all the tips, my new little friend has been so happy and has settled in so quickly ❤
I just want to thank you for your channel. I'm new in the "rabbit world". 6 months ago i found an abandonned rabbit (in my garden!?!) and of course as an animal lover i decided to keep it. I'm used to cats and dogs and i was surprised how different it is to care for a rabbit. With your channel i learned how to interprete its reactions and basic care. It's really helpful so thank you!
Wow I wish rabbits just spawn in my garden too
This video made me feel so good and understood 😊! Especially the part about trying to educate others. I know people that have tiny, dirty hitches with ‘optional’ runs and terrible diets. At least I have made a tiny difference though 😆 this is because of you and Lennon! My friend used to only feed their rabbits pellets and only gave veggies as treats. They also had water in a bottle that was literally GREEN! I try to help people with care, especially to people that just aren’t able to free roam or aren’t allowed to have their rabbit inside because I feel so bad for their rabbits 😞. Thank you so much Lorelei ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I have a friend who was SO BAD at taking care of a rabbit that it almost died, but when watching Lennon The bunny it helped so much and he lived!
Not me binging all of Lorelei’s videos to help me prepare for getting a pet bunny- So helpful!!
Thank you so much Lorelai!. I was an awful rabbit owner. I have a little bunny named Snowy, She is 1 year old and when she was 2 months old, while I was carrying her, she scratched me and I accidentally dropped her from my hands. I was shocked when I saw her limping. I called my emergency vet ( she was one of my friends ) and she said that Snowy had a dislocated bone. Then she said it will heal in two weeks. She put a plaster cast on her right leg and it was hard for her to walk with the cast on, so I had to keep her every where she wanted to go, like her X pen, litter box, the kitchen. So I was so sad since it was my mistake. I didn't know that rabbits have fragile bones, so I did a little research and found your channel. I watched some of your videos like when you rescue bunnies from under houses, in yards and when you help Vicky and I loved how you helped everyone and how you help. I tried many channels, but it didn't have what I wanted. So I watched some of your videos and thought that you might have something I can do for her and found how to make some D.I.Y Rabbit Treats from your channel and I made some of them like dried apples and carrots. She loved them!, After 2 weeks she started to hop well and she became more active. I felt happy that I gave a little surprise, another bunny! Wooly ( my brother's rabbit ) and Snowy was easy to bond and those two became Best Friends. And instead of one, I have 4 buns! It was hard to bond the other two but it was easy at the end!. Thank you once again for guiding me and the other bunny owners in a way no one will ever do.
I just found your channel this week and the relationship between my bun and I has already done a complete 180. Thank you so much for the priceless information you provide with this channel! ❤ 🙏🏻
thanks to you bunny creators I made more progress in my bunnys relationship with me in only a couple days! Compared to those months we weren't comfortable with each other
I just got my first rabbit and learned so much from you! She is a happy bun. Thank you for this amazing channel!
I got my first rabbit from a neighbor who was (i’m pretty sure) illegally breeding and slaughtering them for food and money. My rabbit was one in their first litter that was born and she was the runt and they were just going to let her die. She’s now grown and happy and has a great bond with me.
I liked that you included alternatives for most the issues! I would love a sequel about signs you are a good rabbit owner, too.
Thank you for EVERYTHING Lorlei and Lennon! Thank you so much for giving my bunny a better life, you taught me all about rabbits and my bunny used to live outside, and now inside! My bunny acts differently from when I compare his behavior outside and inside, when he’s outside, he behaves very like mean? Like he misbehaves outside but inside, he licks me, let’s me pet him, and be the best rabbit! You also taught me about what bunnies/ rabbits eat, and I used to feed my bunny the wrong pellets and only kale, now I give him varieties of different types of vegetables and the right pellets, I also learned how important giving hay to your rabbit is! Thank you so much for everything Lorlei and Lennon!
-Joey’s owner!
Great video! The only things I would add are to make sure that your bunny is spayed/neutered for optimal health, and if you have a rabbit or are considering getting a rabbit, you should really consider getting two bonded buns instead of one. Rabbits do better in pairs (you did mention that, but just wanted to say it again). All the information here is spot on. Rabbits are the most misunderstood domestic pet and it breaks my heart to see so many mistreated rabbits. I know a lot of bad rabbit owners because they refuse to take the time to learn about rabbit care. They are intentionally ignorant. I grew up with an outdoor rabbit in a hutch because my parents didn't know any better. She died prematurely and it broke my heart. I hated the fact that she was outside. It just felt wrong. I got my first house rabbit Leo 9 years ago from an animal shelter and spent hours and hours researching how to properly care for him. I successfully bonded him to another bun 4 years ago and they are the happiest couple. Leo is doing great at 9 years old and acts like a young bun! I greatly enjoy watching my buns binky all around my home. They bring me so much joy! Thank you for educating everyone on proper rabbit care. Rabbits need us to speak up for them! :)
Spot on! So reassuring that you are raising awareness! ❤
bunnies are precious and deserve the very best from us (as do all animals). thanks for another great video
Unfortunately there are many rabbit owners, I see it every day on facebook groups and on instagram. They do all mistakes you mention on video. Thank you for your videos and education.
I'm so happy that you are posting more often!😍 Love your vids so much! Hi to Lennon!❤❤❤
To be honest, I didn’t know much of this. After watching more rabbit videos I feel like I’m doing good! Right now we are in the process of building our rabbits huge pens. We are keeping them in cages at night but fill it with hay and keep it clean daily, and let them free roam a lot! My rabbit is a black Holland lop named Skye! She is a female, who is only a toddler. She isn’t even a year old yet! She was such a scared bunny coming home with me, but I watched you and and others a lot to make sure I provided her well. Due to these videos I have provided my rabbits (Skye and my sisters, Luke) a healthy and stable life. Thank you so much for these videos!! Keep up the great work!
I learnt alot from watching this channel when I was preparing to bring my bunny home.
But it is also important to do other research.
Doing my own research I learnt the dangers of feeding alfalfa hay + too much alfalfa pellets which is something I learnt on this channel and my bun suffered cuz of it in the beginning. After switching to Timothy hay and small amounts of alfalfa pellets daily the problems went away.
And now he's slowly transitioning to adult pellets and doing great still.
Merry Christmas Lennon , family and lennies
i have a question! what's the best way to get your rabbit to stop doing something? Winston will be chewing on something he isn't supposed to and I say no firmly but it doesn't always work and usually end up having to get up and move him away from it with a tap on the butt or a little push to the side but i don't wanna seem like a bully
i just recently adopted 3 rabbits, and your videos are really helping me to take better care of them! thank you!
Thank you for educating people. Because of you I was able to bring my rabbit into a healthy happy home!
My dad makes me have the rabbit outside. But I check on her every hour and I spend three hours out with her in the morning. She seems to be happy and alright.
I’m it not a rabbit owner yet but when I am, I’ll be a good one thanks to your information in these videos! Any future buns will have the best life because of your teaching!
Thank you so much for uploading beneficial rabbit videos! I got my bunnies less than a week ago, and I definitely need to work on a few things. But they're thrilled thanks to you, Lorelai!
Hi, thank you for all the education that you give out. Thanks to you I know most of the proper rabbit care the when I want to own a rabbit.
Did the foster rabbit ever find an official home yet???
These series of videos are brilliant and informative keep up the fantastic knowledge ur dishing out
This person is one of the best teachers for people with pet rabbits! Subscribed!! 🤍🤍🤍🤍
I'm so grateful for your channel! You don't make us beginner rabbit fosters feel dumb. You provide useful information as well as the reasons behind why for certain things. My research lead me to believe rescue for rabbits and other small pets is needed and that's why we added them to our rescue. Our program lead for them is great and recommended I check out different channels. Very impressed by yours!
Adoption agencies should make bunny owners watch a few of your most educational videos before adoption. 🐰
I wholeheartedly agree
It breaks my heart to think of anyone doing any of these things Loralei - but I very much appreciate your videos - and some people really do need to get educated about their pets - actually BEFORE they become a pet owner.
Thank you for what you do Loralei. 💝
Not a bunny owner, just like to see happy bunnies like Lennon and imagine how I would care for one 🐰 pet care for animals I don’t own or intend to own is like asmr for me.. anyone else weird like me?? Haha
we dont have the greatest set up but my baby boy bunny is happy and healthy. you are part of that so thank you so much! love your videos!
Thank you so much for another video Lorelei! I always learn something new from watching your channel and keeping up with my own knowledge about rabbits. I don’t know anyone who is a bad rabbit owner but I did educate my parents especially my mom on how I wanted my little bun to live. She disagreed with free roaming a lot, she was worried about the smell in my room but she fell in love with our little bun and she accepts him in her room. Of course We make sure that there are no loose cables or other things he can chew on haha. My room is actually the cleanest despite my little Snowball roaming around, and he is always happy running from room to room and doing binkies ^_^
I have a rabbit named Orson. He is 3 years old, free roams the whole house, & get the attention he deserves. Now he was abused by both humans and rabbits! So he does not like other rabbits, it took him a while but he is finally getting used to us. Now there are still some times where he doesn’t want us touching him, but he is very food motivated he will climb on you to try and eat your food. But since he is a touch-me-not it’s hard to get him for grooming, all my animals on my farm including Orson get medical check ups it’s just getting him to groom him so we are slowly working up on that. I have successfully brushed him today and hopefully keep being able too. Sorry if my sentence was long
The picture at 4:23 should be considered a crime. Thats literally torture. Even if you have a elderly rabbit with issues that might need a bath, thats not how you do it. Im literally fuming right now at that picture. I’ve seen the video too its disgusting.
you have brought me to become a much better of a rabbit owner. i’m so happy i found you.
This is teaching me a lot that I didn’t know about rabbits. I have one and made all these mistakes I’m learning to take better care of my rabbit!
