Exactly!! Everything I mean everything is LS anymore!! It is refreshing to see a good ol boy building in a relatively small man cave shop! Just building nice clean rigs!! Good stuff!!
a compliment doesn’t even do you and your work justice, i have been following your channel for quiet sometime now and i must say that you do amazing work and i have enjoyed learning from your videos.
I can’t thank you enough fir your videos. I’m restoring a 62 and I’m lost in certain areas. I’ve been working on foxbody mustangs since the early 90’s. This is all new to me. I’m hoping when my headlight harness comes in the lights start working again. Lol! Thanks again!!
Just found your channel and I must say it's great. I really like how your son seems to help you out a bit. I just started my channel but the filming/youtube piece of it is what seems to have gotten my 11 year old into my trucks. Thanks for showing us how it's done! I strive to do that on my channel as well.
Working out in the driveway and with the garage door open in February. I’m jealous. It’ll still be a month or two before we’re able to do that up here in my neck of the woods. Good to see you and your son cuttin’ up a little bit there at the end. Good stuff!!
Always a pleasure watching a craftsman at work !! One suggestion from a old electrician who learned the hard way: When you cut those zip ties with any kind of cutter (diagonals or side cutters), the cut edges are very sharp and will cut you like a razor. A way to eliminate that hazard is to pull your zip tie to where you are happy with it and grab the "tail" with a side cutter (the jaw of the pliars, not the cutter) right where it exits the latch part of the zip tie. Twist the tail three or four turns until it twists off. That WILL NOT leave the sharp edges. They also make tools (the nice ones are kinda like a pistol) that tighten the zip ties and break off the tail leaving no sharp edges too.
They do spring loaded side cutters now that cut the zip tie right down. Know what you mean about those sharp edges though, cut all my forearms once chasing a wire behind a dashboard.
Love watching your videos! No nonsense, to the point and it works! Couldn't have gotten this far on my 65 without watching your videos. You make it all look so easy...thanks for posting and keeping my build moving along!
Wow, you’re an awesome builder, nice truck Sir! I’ve been watching some when you’re working on it.. Great project, and you’re Rockin-it! Nice ride coming soon for sure..
I’m not leaving a comment just because it’ll be the 69th comment but you’re making great videos and educational for the ones looking to learn. I have a 61 c20 I can’t wait to get it on the road again.
old skool awesome your brother must be the luckiest guy in the world to have a brother like you sir. some people just have all the luck o well looking awesome.
Am watching ur videos and u did a great job with the truck i have a 1966 Gmc i want to restore it but i do not know where to start do u guys do work for other truck that are from diff owners.
Hey man, cool truck! As stated prior I’d gotten the same wire kit and started my install of it yesterday. Sir, did you have to change many of the ‘connectors?” I’m looking at mine and it’s a “63” looking to be that I’ve got to change “connectors to my old ones? Or is there provided in wire provision for “changing the connectors over to “new?” Thanks for all you post, you rock the old trucks Sir!
That's gonna be a nice truck when it's done when I get the money I am gonna buy a 1962 or 63 chevy c10 the owner said I ran when parked in gonna restore it I'm gonna make it look like it just left the factory and drive it every day
Greetings from Sweden! Your videos are very instructive and have helped me a lot working on my own C10 64, Thank you. At the end of this video I see the column shifter and the gear indicator. How did you manage to mount that indicator on this 3-speed manual column shifter? Is there any safety switch or something like that in order to prevent R or N to be engaged accidently while driving?
The indicator itself is screwed on both sides of the column, The orange dot indicator that moves with the column is something I cut out of a fishing reel handle knob that is simply glued on, I am working on a safety neutral switch now. this is really temporary until I can find an automatic column
@@Gibson63. With this setup, will the the engine start with the shift lever in any position or only when you turn the key on and the lever is in Park position?
Gibson63 good. I’m going to have to do some work to mine. I didn’t see it until I had the truck completely torn down. I’m in now so no choice but to start welding.
Gibson63 done that also. I have a 67 C10. I took the front end off an 86 and installed the crossmember ( entire thing) on my 67. I Bought it for 50.00 and it came with everything. It was in pretty good shape. I took the rotors off and replaced them, the bearings, and bushings. It was cheaper than buying the conversion kit. Us poor folks gotta improvise.
My mistake was and I see it now but I was in too far to get out. I built a 496 stroker, put a mean street FI on it. I am in about 15 grand in engine and truck is sitting in pieces all over my house. The garage is full, two bedrooms full, and boxes in kitchen. As you might have guessed I’m single. 😂😂 My GF doesn’t like it but it’s my house.
Looks great! I really like the way your restoration turned out... no LS, no 4 link, no bags.... just nice simple and clean! Happy Trails, Doug
Nice builds are getting rarer and rarer these days.

Hey just wondering...did the front parking lights work as turn signals as well or just as parking lights???
What wiring harness did you use? I am looking at a painless wiring harness for my K20.
Make it look so easy
Looking good!

Really nice !
Let's get started !!!!!
Are you putting in l.e.d. lights
What is the plan for the blue truck?
I’m giving this truck to my dad will be going to some cruise ins and car shows together
Gibson63; So cool brother keep making memories with your Pop's an Son... Old blue is looking good... Keep On Trucking Brother
Gibby ya need some wire look and a heat gun for your heat shrink!! Lol!! Throw away that cheap electrical tape!!
Question: is it necessary to install a mounting plate for the fuse box (circuit board)?
On this American auto wire kit it came with a mounting plate and extra long bolts that come through the inner fender to bolt up
Gibson63 ok, thanks!
I hope you paint this beauty, patina is for furniture and used car salesmen who want big money for rust.
Thanks.
Did you find any thin spots in the frame from rust over the rearend crossmember?
No thin spots this is a good solid frame
Gibson63 good. I’m going to have to do some work to mine. I didn’t see it until I had the truck completely torn down. I’m in now so no choice but to start welding.
Roadking911 the lower control arms were rusted through on this truck but I replaced them both
