As someone who'd never heard of Warcraft until a year after WoW's release, I loved reading all the text, paying attention to the NPCs, and finding the lore books to find out about the setting I was playing in. The Caverns of Time dungeons are universally bad, but they *should* serve as an important way to get players up to speed on the Story So Far™️. Most players don't read and play WoW like an arcade game, so putting the important backstory beats in Caverns of Time is a great way to convey the lore.
you talked about how you're surprised they never did a full CoT expansion, but what if that's what Classic+ will be? We go into the Caverns of Time and get stuck there, and the events of Classic+ play out as a Vanilla WoW alternate timeline within CoT, we prevent Deathwing's return so no Cataclysm happens, etc etc
I mean, that is one option, but they can solve that just saying that we changed a different timeline, aka time moves like branches off a tree instead of a road
You need to try Turtle WoW. Many of the dungeons you mentioned here have been made realities by the Turtle WoW devs, and they've come up with a few additional ones themselves which are quite fun, like Crescent Grove and Blackrock Quarry. Gilneas is a whole lvl 35 ish zone, with Gilneas City as a dungeon. Classic Hyjal is a playable zone, with the Emerald Dream as a Tier 2 equiv. raid. They went with Karazhan Crypts as a (fun!) dungeon, with Lower Karazhan a 10-player "starter" raid, and Upper Karazhan as a Tier 3 Naxx equiv,. coming soon! I would personally love to see more leveling dungeons introduced. But yeah, they've done a fantastic job! And you don't have to wait for Blizzard to get off their rears.
Turtle WoW is a great server for sure. I've seen some of what they've done, so I simply dream of an official Blizzard version of all of that. A man can dream can't he? The full budget of a retail expansion put solely into Classic.
i miss the mystery of vanilla. idk if there is any way to ever have any of htat back.... like, anywhere... with the internet as it is today - i think its a lost feeling
Typically when we think dungeons, we think of instanced portals. However early dungeons to the OG devs was a large cave to get lost in. Some of these current places don't need a portal dungeon. But instead add some elites to fight, maybe a quest drop. Rather than have to make new gear that can potentially power creep on existing gear. Sometimes less can be more. And I worry if everything mention was a 5-man dungeon, it would be too much. Just Open it up, toss creatures and let players make their own fun out of it. Maybe the Timbermaw cave is just another way to farm reputation to exalted and firewater. 🤔
This is the 3rd video on dungeons, but each video has been different, aside from sometimes reusing one location or another because it makes sense in context.
We classic era players are still waiting for that #nochanges vanilla release. The 5 years of classic era and all the changes have not been what we asked for.
I would settle for a version at the same level of difficulty and not the 30% nerfed raid bosses of classic +. I am so sick of smug modern players not understanding that they are playing in easy mode
All you streamers need to first and foremost advocate for : no in-game store, no wow token, no random dungeon finder. That's the most important things the game need to exclude, everything else is more or less irrelevant.
I think that isolates the expirience from new players. Yes, that makes the game more immersive and overall a better expirience... for already expirienced players or players who's main game is WoW. Casuals are needed for the game because... money, and they also help bring innovation.
@@Panthossss What the fuck are you talking about ?! lol If people want any of the things I mentioned they can go play retail, period. You dumb, or am I missing something...
I won’t be satisfied until they create the mighty Grim Batol mountain fortress.
Me too brother, me too

This was a really well put toegther video, solid script and very decent editing. Keep up the good work and thanks for the content.
Thank you for your content 🙏🏻 Always keeping things relative 💯
a WoW youtuber that isn't that intense with their opinion is super refreshing

Great video! although I feel like the editing could be better... maybe give him a raise ;)
Where did you get those flags!?!
I got them from Amazon, I don't remember which was which, but 15$ and 20$ respectively
Is this not like the 100th video he has done on this since classic?

So basically someone played turtle wow and made a video it seems
I am almost ready Ebon
It is me 😉

If Classic+ becomes real i hope they bring updated graphics! Its a pain see all those old models with low res textures
I hope they add a toggle for Ray tracing and shadows. It would be amazing to get that. Sadly I'm not sure if we will.
Graphics..pfft..who cares really? This game shines for its gameplay..everything else is secondary. Look at OSRS for more proof..
