    The Angles he takes are a thing of beauty! Hope he can translate that to the NFL. Reminds me of Darren Sproles.

    This guy has great vision and patience with good lateral quickness to go with it. Honestly can be a good runningback in the NFL.

    Great grab for the Niners. I really like his speed, as well as his vision & what looks like a natural instinct to navigate through bodies to get to the endzone. Hopefully the new pickups at o-line will make this guy shine.

      My guess is it is just good fortune/scouting be the 9ers. RB is a very (draft) undervalued position because there are so many good players you can get later on and/or undrafted. With their high injury risk, short career span, and almost every NFL team more dependent upon a successful QB, it doesn't make sense for most of them to put too much money in RBs.
      I think his lack of athleticism made his draft value drop. And that's usually the case. Some will say it was his 4.0 ypc this past year but I think most scouts would take a look at the OL he was playing behind, in the SEC, without any real receiving threat, and say 4.0 isn't bad. Plus never fumbling once.
      I think he stood out more to the 9ers because it almost feels like deja vu, you feel like you're watching Frank Gore make these quick, tiny cuts, taking just enough contact that he can still break the tackle... And Chip Kelly wanted to get Frank Gore into Philly. Plus with his dad and upbringing... I'd venture to guess he's a lot more pro-ready than most RBs coming out. A lot of players coming out of college really do not understand what kind of work ethic it takes to really be successful in the NFL, I think he does.

      +Mark Yaroshchuk yeah u said he doesn't break tackles as much as taylor? if so that is false. the one thing Taylor does better then gore which is very important and valuable is not fumble the ball. gore had a few Taylor never dropped it

    • @MarkYaroshchuk
      @MarkYaroshchuk 8 років тому

      Joel Kaepernick-Russell I hope you learned to read because I never compared Gore to Taylor XD, read my comment again or have someone read it to you because I think you're having trouble because I clearly said Gore couldn't break as much tackles, which mean he doesn't always break tackles. Tell me how do you see me comparing him to Taylor. When I say "couldn't break as much" my point of view is only gore not taylor, in general I just he doesn't always break tackles. I hope I summed it up for you.

    • @theparadiddlydoo2771
      @theparadiddlydoo2771 8 років тому

      +Vladpryde Same, looks like he has great vision, good agility and can hit the holes well. Now the questions at RB remain: should the 9ers cut any of the RB's for this guy or keep them all? what would you do?

    • @Vladpryde
      @Vladpryde 8 років тому

      BounceTo TheBeat
      Hmmm....well, first thing I'd do is check out Mike Davis and see what his conditioning is this off-season. Has he gained or lost weight? Has he improved his foot work and patience when reading the block?
      That's the first thing I'd do. That will determine if we keep him around the season after that, or if we cut him or trade him.
      Truth be told....I'm not sold on Draugn. I get it: he did pretty well last year. But he was also unemployed for a reason. There were a couple of times where I saw him just run head-long into the OLine and stop dead because he didn't wait for a hole to open up. Not acceptable; not in this league.
      I really like Harris. He's a true power back, but he's getting up there in age, and he's a one-route runner North to South. He doesn't do much (if any) cutting. Which isn't so bad, I suppose, if you can shrug off tackles.
      Hayne is...well, Hayne. Okay, but not nearly there yet. Still needs plenty of work, but he's on the right path with coach Rathman.
      And I'm concerned about Hyde's foot.
      So, when taking all of that into consideration, I'd bring them into Camp and see what each guy has, then plan accordingly. Kinda all you CAN do at this point.

    • @theparadiddlydoo2771
      @theparadiddlydoo2771 8 років тому

      Vladpryde Yeah I was just thinking about that in regards to Mike Davis. I think he needs to play all the pre season games. Maybe even be the starter in them?
      If he doesn't do anything he might need to be moved on which might sound cruel but he's still young (23).
      As for Draughn, I don't know if we should use him as a 3rd string running back or use him as a receiver whilst he's at RB?
      Definitely keep Hyde and Harris to do the majority of the running.
      Hayne...well he has versatility (punt returner and RB) and durability. There was a bit of talk about how the 9ers can use him at RB for next season and people have been like: "use him as a receiver because he's good in open space". Keep him or drop him you think?
      And lastly, Kendall Gaskins, what should they do with him?

    • @Vladpryde
      @Vladpryde 8 років тому

      BounceTo TheBeat
      Keep Hyde, drop Gaskins (or put him on the PS), and add Kelvin Taylor to the 53. The more I think about it, the more I'm just not sold on the others. I would not have objected to us taking Elliot with our #7 pick. Hyde and Elliot would have been a brutal tandem. Because one things for certain: Hyde absolutely cannot do it all on his own. He just can't. There are going to be games where he just can't be a 3-down Back.
      And the more I think about it, the more I want Mike Davis to work. He was a Rookie last year; no need to cut him so soon. Let him develop as much as possible.

    • @theparadiddlydoo2771
      @theparadiddlydoo2771 8 років тому +1

      Vladpryde Yeah, so you think (in order) Hyde, Harris, Taylor? Gaskins was the one that came from the PS and replaced Hayne when he was cut. I suppose they can rotate the other Rbs and use them as receivers if they're not going to run the ball in the backfield?

I am about the present and future and as far as last year goes we were better and will be better this year. raiders are on the rise whether you like to accept it or not and we are young which rarely happens so get use to seeing the raiders being one of the top teams for years to come while your niners just suck because you still have balke lmao
