i own about $12,000 value in ships or more so if they want my money it better be BIG or niche!!! not to big because i have a moral rule to never buy anything that is limited because i hate to shop for things you get by chance and or for the reason the ultra expensive ships should not be sold they should be goals to achieve after the game delivers. i dont mind pay to win if you can pay to get ahead not pay to WIN having the best of best day 1 then why would i need to play if my ultimate goal is achieved!!!!

I’m liking the Fatterpillar idea for the name alone
I wouldn't be shocked if it's a ground construction vehicle. Though that Atlas platform one in the concepts looks sick, so I almost hope it isn't cuz I don't see them doing both
Yeah, that's my thought, too - it's the vehicle that would make the most sense, but I think the Atlas chassis has it locked up...for now, anyways. I could see them putting out a 4-6 person ground vehicle, though
@@DawnstealerGaming maybe we'll finally get a giant ground vehicle like the Elephant/Mammoth from Halo haha (with absolutely no way of transporting it lol)
@@AuricNova Hahhaha - that WOULD be awesome. Maybe it could ride on top of the Liberator?
@@DawnstealerGaming ooh maybe, or you need like 12 SRVs to beam it around haha.
But yeah, ever since I saw one of Astro Chronicles' renders of a massive ground vehicle, I've been dreaming of the day CIG concepts one for real
@@AuricNova would be cool but difficult to get around also they would probably need to get driving mechanics sorted out otherwise it would probably get stuck on every rock and do a back flip every time it hits a crest
Jokes on you, it's going to be a food shop camper vehicle.
There was a concept image floating around of a large Drake cargo ship.... I posted it on Spectrum and caught a weeks ban for doing so :P
That would be interesting. I would think a large cargo mover would compete with the Caterpillar unless it was something like a Hull C/external cargo competitor
@@DawnstealerGamingCaterpillar failed to fulfil its own criteria. They could do a total rework on it...or could just learn from its shortcomings and sell a fresh ship to be that mobile pirate camp role.
@@4675636B Caterpillar hasn’t been fully realized yet. Once modularity is fully in, it’ll shine. On that note, those side openings are pretty situationally useful.
Still, I wouldn’t be shocked if there was a ship between the Cat and Kraken, but I still say CIG is leaning away from huge ships for the meantime - they just take too many resources to get out the door. THAT said…I’m just guessing - fun thing about Drake is that it could be anything: they’re a wild card
@@DawnstealerGaming The pro for a Drake cargo ship is it would be really low effort for a large ship. It would be mostly flat surfaces. Caterpillar engines, and Corsair interior assets.
And my main thought is that SQ42 will need a ship in that pocket carrier class, which is easier to deliver with a new flat deck cargo ship than reworking Caterpillar.
Salvage seems reasonable
ok im not calling anyone stupid or anything but why would a drake concept ship deliver a smaller or larger salvager??? it already has 1 salvager? what brand has more that 1 niche ship? no i think!!! CIG has be thinking larger for concept and small for deliverable...
it is a drake concept hence why it comes on a drake day as for size i think CIG needs a money grab so it will be larger than a cutlass. and because its a concept i think it will have a niche role im thinking something that may be a new game loop or fill out an uncommon game loop.
it wont be salvage i would almost bet my life on it.
mining: i think drake could use it own brand of miner
builder: they did say there was going to be a small ground building ship but i think this will strait to fly
support: there are rumors of a ship that can charge
capital: very likely a drake brand would meet a pirates needs for a smaller competitor for the javelin (very unlikely but i think it should happen)
quantum snare: we really could use more ships with this tech and who better than the moral grey brand
EMP or other new weapon platform: imagine, how about a size 10 EMP!!!! or napalm area denial through ever burning flame
i hope what ever it is, that it is niche! but i have confidence it is bigger than a cutlass if it can multi or really small if it can build
Argo has two miners and would have had a 3rd in the works if they had gotten more votes RSI have two star liners and two dedicated medical i could also see Argo getting another larger tow ship and perhaps a ground one as well
@@ONI09100 no there are zero star liners but someday it will deliver when personnel transport comes to game loops theres argo mole and what else? but then again this is what the brand argo does.... but there are only 2 mine ships prospector and mole and prospector or misc brand when orion comes that is RSI and you may think that other MISC ship can mine but only fuel only so that isnt mining. brands may make several of a niche play loop later but not for a long time and combat brands may never make a niche play loop ship
"I'm poor" relatable
Especially after the reset...gd
Duct tape dispenser.
I mean, small repair ship.
Safe bet. Or USS Eureka garbage skow
It's a Drake "Anti" Pirate Ship .
Like ALL of their ships, RIGHT? [eyeball falls out from winking too hard]
All drake ships are pirate ships you just have to read between the lines
BBL drizzy
The butt lift on the cutty is strong
it's a corvette sized ship
You know that, or you’re guessing? I wouldn’t rule it out, but something that big would be a first for ILW
a mech suit
Oh man, I WISH they were releasing the Titan suit. One day
niche is pronounced neesh
😂
Kids...
i own about $12,000 value in ships or more so if they want my money it better be BIG or niche!!!
not to big because i have a moral rule to never buy anything that is limited because i hate to shop for things you get by chance and or for the reason the ultra expensive ships should not be sold they should be goals to achieve after the game delivers.
i dont mind pay to win if you can pay to get ahead not pay to WIN having the best of best day 1 then why would i need to play if my ultimate goal is achieved!!!!
some bs .....thats the answer they are cooking up some bs.
Always: Big Ships.
@@DawnstealerGaming i dont mind more big ships i just want the backlog cleared
@@COMMANDERHAWK22 totally agree. And that’s why I think they’ve been shying away from big ships recently. Also why I think this ship will probably be off the smaller variety
