Until the point where she has become successful and famous then he shares things about her on social media. She leaves the door open for him, but he still makes no effort on meeting her or getting to know her. People like to talk about her, not wanting to be black or half black or whatever. But perhaps this is a lot on why she is the way she is. Not making any excuses, but she relates to things that she’s been surrounded by which is her mom and whatever her mom taught her. Father's Day is coming up and it really hits home that not only did mine stay when his own father (my grandfather) didn't, thus breaking a generational curse; but that he's a good dad too. I'm happy for Saweetie. I never stopped the liking her. She's unproblematic, she's pretty, I like the pretty girl music, she stays out of drama, and she's that girl. She's definitely been taking dancing lessons, and I can appreciate that. She needs Sean Bankhead as her choreographer.

I prefer Saweetie or Ice Spice as well. I never jumped on ice spice train. I was just like "OK this is not for me!" 🤷🏽♀️
I always felt her change in image and music was influenced by something deeper, and maybe this is a part of it.
He also definitely influenced her artistic gift, he’s very talented and Doja definitely gets it from him

I’m South African and one thing I can confirm is that some kids here have deadbeat dads so I’m surprised that he didn’t bother reaching out to her
Dojas dad really did her a big one by not being in her life. You can tell he really ain't about sh*t and it would've done more damage had he come around at all. You cant have it all in this life. Doja won.
@Priscilla-yn5xm I think every person alive has some issues stemming from a parental figure or lack there of. Its simply life. At some point you just need to parent yourself and stop blaming your parents.
