perfect. just beautiful and the CORRECT speed. this song is easy to fly through but should be savored, like the perfect cup of coffee or the first warm day after winter.
Thanks for the good word! One of my conducting teachers always encouraged us to linger in the good moments. This piece has lots of good moments!
The most perfect rendition I’ve ever heard. I sang this way back when in regional choir, and I’ve remembered it since. Dripping, and emotionally delicate. Thank you!
Thanks for your kind words! Such a great piece of music!
Outstanding!
Thank you kindly!
Beautiful oh so beautiful🕊🙏🫶
Thank you! Cheers! Did you sing this along the way?
Exquisite. How could anyone possibly downvote this gorgeous performance??
Thanks for the good word!
Beautifully done!
thanks for the good word! Have you sung/conducted/played this?
This was so perfect. I performed this with my choir in high school, and all of these years later it’s the one that stays with me I cried like a baby, this was ex’s usted wonderfully, from the conducting to the voices and the accompaniment, wow. Wonderful ♥️
Thanks for the good word! I first heard this in 1992 I think. It certainly has staying power!
Same here. This and Cantique de Jean Racine by Gabriel Faure has stuck with me for 20+years
@@gnr331 I love the Cantique!! Such a gorgeous piece.
Truly beautiful voices, bravo. Sang this (alto) with my choir recently and it brought some to tears.
Thanks Leela! It is a wonderful piece and I'm glad you sang it with your choir!
I sang this song in an all-state choir in high school nearly 20 years ago and was trying to find a recording of it done right, sang perfectly, and at the correct tempo, just as a I remembered it. This is perfection! Thank you.
Thanks for the good word! It is interesting how long music stays in our minds and hearts.
Don't forget the lyrics, and lyricist!
O my Luve is like a red, red rose
That’s newly sprung in JUNE;
O my Luve is like the melody
That’s sweetly played in tune.
As fair art thou, my bonnie lass,
So deep in luve am I;
I will luve thee still, my dear,
Till a’ the seas gang dry.
As Fair art thou, my dear,
so deep in luve am I an;
I will luve thee still, my dear,
Till a' the seas gang dry.
I will love thee still, my dear,
While the sands o' life shall run
Till a’ the seas gang dry, my dear,
And the rocks melt wi’ the sun.
As Fair art thou, my bonnie lass,
so deep in luve am I;
I will come again, my luve,
Though it were ten thousand mile.
I will come again.
~ Robert Burns
Who can forget Robert Burns??? Thanks.
You treated this song SO tenderly, as its emotion and lyrics deserve. The sopranos sound very warm. The best I've found on UA-cam. THANK YOU!!
Thanks for the good word! So glad to make music with this group of singers!
The perfect Valentine song.
Yes! I've heard it at a wedding as well!
