And now (April 26, 2024) Michael is gone. He seemed to be unselfish in his efforts to uphold the standards of the Moody Blues till he left the group on his own terms. We as fans all want our favorite groups to stay together just like we want our old home town to remain the same when we return. But these are individuals leading their own lives. I have seen Justin Hayward multiple times with his own entourage. His concerts are great. And as much as I dreamed about him inviting Michael to join him, it wasn't to be. I wish John well on his upcoming tour. My 16 year old daughter discovered the MB's on her own and went with me to Justin's concert here in Orlando. A time I wouldn't trade away.
I was there! First time I had seen them in about 15 years in Philadelphia at the Mann Center. They put on a fabulous show despite the horrible heat and humidity and moths flying all over. First time I saw Gordy Marshall, Norda Mullen and Julie Ragins perform. Great additions and fantastic show and the first of many shows thereafter!
I was fortunate to see them live about twenty five times including once with first row dead center seats thanks to a Connecticut Public Television promotion. Always loved watching Gordy during Isn't Life Strange. Would pay just to watch that!

I agree to some degree😊! Patrick Moraz brought a somewhat different sound but not too different to Mike's way. Even though I love all MB's albums with Mike Pinder on keyboards, I must admit that "Long distance voyager", "The other side of life" and "Sur la mer" are also among my favorite MB's albums.
Thank you for posting this. The only time I've seen them in concert was this 2007 tour in Springfield, MO. I'm turning 70 this year. I've always loved their music. Their music is my go to music when I'm touring on my motorcycle. ❤️🏍💨🙋♂️🎼
I saw them in Detroit in 1969. They had to send air freshener in thru the air vents to push out the smell of the pot. I saw them again in late 90's or 2000's.
Agreed, someone should convince Justin to tour with John before it is too late. Have heard John is willing, Justin - not so much. Planning to see Justin's two shows in Connecticut next month.
Since we csnnot see Justin and John together, I have been going to see Gordy Marshall and Mick Wilson's Moody Blues tribute band shows and they are fabulous! As you probably know Gordy Marshall was the co-drummer in this video and for about 20 years with the Moody Blues on tour. Go Now is touring USA, UK. Netherlands!
@@denisebojczuk510 As much as I loved to watch Gordy when he toured with the Moodies (particularly in "Isn't Life Strange"), I have seen cover bands on the net that I feel are far better. Time Traveler and The Lost Chord come to mind. I do not believe those are touring acts though. If Gordy's band was to come nearby (CT, MA, RI perhaps) I would probably go see the show. The world needs a Moody Blues tribute band on the level of Rumours of Fleetwood Mac. If you've heard them you know how good a tribute band can be. There is also Lexington Lab Band who covers a multitude of artists with outstanding results but have not done any Moody Blues that I am aware of. Check them out.
the Moody Blues' Children's, children's, children - - was the first EPIC Concept album that I remember. It came out in Nov. 1969 and beat such classics as Dark Side, Lamb Lies down, Tommy, Fragile and more! The album was inspired by the moon landing - I was inspired by both! My favorite Moody's album!!
@@patriciaelg1464 My first Moody Blues purchase was "Threshold", my second was "Childrens" when it came out. Initially I liked "Threshold" better, but over the years I've come to like "Childrens" even more.
I really enjoyed their orchestra-backed concerts. I saw them with the Spokane Symphony in an Eastern Washington amphitheater, and it blew my mind! And their Albert Hall concert was probably the greatest performance of any rock band/orchestra combo, ever!
This is an impressive video. I’m curious how it was recorded-how did you get those professional-looking camera angles? Is the sound coming off the soundboard, or is it from the arena? Quite professional-looking video. Great upload.
In my family there was Only Two Bands that Everyone In the Family could Agree upon to listen to. The Moody Blues and The Beatles. Hahahahahahahaha 😂!!!
I can't get used to the Moody Blues with women in the group, although they've been doing this a long time already. I'm female btw. Can't you find some high pitched voiced men?
I like it actually. Norda was an excellent replacement when Ray retired. I was at a show in Wallingford CT and had second row seat right in front of Norda. I swore she was flirting with me all night. Of course, that was only in MY Wildest Dreams! And what's not to like about Julie?
RIP Graeme and Ray. Never forgotten.
Although living, we should also mention our love for Mike!
Graeme is on stage here, he flew off in 2021, Ray is missing in action but did not fly off until 2018. And Mike departed the band after Octave in '78.
Till we meet again rest easy Graeme❤
Totally awesome Tuesday the password 🔑 enchanting

I can’t stand it that some people go to concerts to have conversations. They spoiled never come the day for me. Just listen and shut up!
I had the same complain in the 90s. People are more concerned about drinking than listening and watching.
Nice team: Gordy, Norda, is that Julie?
The gentlemen having the conversation during Never Comes The Day sounded like technicians discussing an issue with the stage lighting.
I just went to see Justin Hayward and that happened to me
I was introduced to Moody Blues in 1970 and listening brings me right back to my youth and relationship I had.
All the members of the Moody Blues together are extraordinary ❤️ 💙 ♥️ 🎶. RIP 🙏 the ones who passed.

The Moody Blues give me a Sunday feel. So spiritual !

In my opinion, the Moody's were never the same after Mike left the band. His contributions to the band were sorely missed.

Great quality. Thanks for posting it. One of the greatest bands of all time. I never tire of their music.

White hot summer night...❤God, I hope I 🙏 was there..❤sure feels like it.❤ My favorite shirt, too. THANKS AGAIN. BLESSINGS 😊

Excellent concert. Love that they sound like the recording in real life.

Great! And Graeme instead of Graham.
Justin Heyward, the knight in shining armor ❤😂🎉 Thanks for sharing this video. 🎉
The greatest band ever wish I could have seen them in concert,I love there music.

Moodies forever!!!!!
We were there a great show.
The Ladies do a Nice Job 👍🎵❣️
Ray Thomas is missing in the line-up. Not the same without him. RIP Ray and Graeme.
Miss Mike Pinder as well ... what can you say, times change. I do like Norda.
But further along in Singer an image of Ray and Mike is shown, heartwarming!
This wonderful to see Graham doing what he did God I hope they live forever at least Justin and John regards to grams family
Wow, The Moody Blues were fantastic in this concert, wish I could’ve been there…Bravo!👍🎼🎵🎶👏👏👏♥️
My sister was at this concert. It was a part of Bethlehem's annual Musikfest.
I wish Justin and john would tour together. They both make such great music .

@@blondienhouston4825 For certain. But from a fan's point of view, how great would it be for there to be a "Blue Jays" tour?
They could get Mike Pinder back to

Hully Carp, Gordy plays flute ... that's so nice when he and Norda play on Comfortably together
Definitely never forgotten 😢
Pure genius
Loved seeing Greame go wild on Higher And Higher

They give so much of themselves god bless them all thank you
Chastain Park Atlanta GA. With the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. Called out of Work for that...

Me too. I remember hearing TOCCC and On the Threshold of a Dream in 1969. Loved those two albums.

They are the best band ever . They never miss a beat
John plays the bass like another lead guitar
Also love to Mike Pender and Ray was missed I think Ray would be proud that Nora makes us proud
John's bass was like having another lead guitar present.
something calls to me
Go Moodies
In the END!!!
👍
This is much better than those bloated, over arranged full orchestra concerts they did. I hate those

If this was 2007, why is Ray Thomas missing?
Ray retired from the band in 2002. Was replaced on flute by Norda Mullen for 2003 touring and was with the touring shows until the end in 2018.
