Those are soooooo great! I’m total hoarder of craft supplies. So anything that is reuse is extra bonus to me. Answer to “can only hold so much”....second tree! There are more heavy duty type exactly. Box cutters and everything in between that cuts cardboard. Plus I bought what I call The Scary Scissors, partly because I cut myself badly when I first had them but they cut through cardboard like nothing. Sold in tool departments of home stores. Could be labeled leather scissors.

Your tree is beautiful. Loved the ornament with the chicken the best. My kids now use all the ornaments I made in my younger years. I now decorate 4 pencil trees-one with all different shaped crystals, one with things of my 2 children, one with White House ornaments, and the last one with old family ornaments. At 76, it's becoming a chore instead of a pleasure!!!

I didn't think Zeb liked these too much when I watched the other day. I really liked the idea of using the boxes in a new way. I thought, no the raw edges would be noticeable but that glitter is perfect. Now I want to make some. I really love the script background stamp

Love, love, love that use make ornaments for your tree! Do you put your name and the year on the back, so in the future your kids and grandkids can see when you made them?
In 1995 my children and I were visiting my parents (my hubby was on a business trip) and my mom help make a home made dough and we used thanksgiving cookie cuttesr to cut shapes, like turkeys, pumpkins, etc.. We tried them in the oven and had the kids paint them. Afterward, we "fixed" the painting a bit and strung 6 on twine. They have down, instead of across and they're fabulous! It's been 24 years and I put the out every year. Great memories, especially since my dad passed into glory 2 years later, at thanksgiving time!

I love the ornament idea though. What a great way to upcycle cardboard that would normally just get tossed into the the recycle bin.

What would it look like if you put two bird castings back to back? Would it make a 3 dimensional bird that could be used as a hanging ornament?

They have a mold that is designed to mirror each side. I don’t think these birds will though.
