Joan!! I Absolutely love your ideas, designs & techniques. I have confidence, that everytime I Try your technique- it tuns out EXACTLY as you have shown- Today I saw this cardboard technique- headed right for the amazon box I just received- & VOILA! I successfully separated the corrugated cardboard- just as directed! You are a GEM!! I have collected rocks- a Slew (packages) of napkins, use a mini iron & NEVER TIRE of your videos & new things I learn..Please do oyster/ scallop shells- with decoupage & gold gilding..I have been trying my hand at these & also decoupaging 6x4 in cards- with calendars for the New Year.. I find your work and ideas so inspiring. My interest in art began in college in 80s & now in my 60s- still loving the new twists. TY Joan
These projects are beautiful. Thank you SO much for this hack on getting the outer paper pulled away from the inside of the corrugated cardboard. I am 73 years old and have always tried using the peeled cardboard. THANK YOU!
Thank you for watching and I’m glad my video helped you. I have a pretty big pile of corrugated cardboard to play with, love how chalk paint looks on the cardboard! Have fun! - Joan 🙂
I tried your tip with the cardboard as I was watching. What a time saver. I love how your DIY's came to life. So beautiful. Thanks for sharing. I will check out vippies. I love to decoupage with napkins but I don't want a whole pack either. They have gorgeous napkins as I see in your projects. ❤❤❤
What a great tip for separating the layers!🙂👍🏻 I've used a roughly torn piece of corrugated cardboard once when making a rustic card, with the addition of a small die cut grapevine wreath and a small die cut of birds on a branch. The uneven texture of the cardboard suited it, but I will definitely be looking for ways to use your neater version. Thanks so much for sharing your method.🤗
Thanks for showing how to expose the corrugations! I want to use them to do a "steel" background for cards for my brother. I love the carrot napkin; it's very 1950s style!
😊 thank you for the tip. I use cardboard for making art cards, and the paper i take off does a great job at reinforcing brown paper bags. The bag process is sturdy, for journal pages grunge, and making large envelopes, or journal pocket reinforcements. Loads of fun to me. Thanks again. Take care, be safe.
Thanks for the great hint for the coragation. I made a.pocket.posy with a to go cup, just cut off both ends and it's ready to decorate. Toilet roll is cute because its smaller. Thanks again
@@JoanMarieDomino sadly, I can't stop collecting them. Even though I use a reusable cup there are still places that give them out freely. And paper rolls to many. But thanks to you I can give them all new life, with all the napkins I have horded. Oh, and large rocks are not safe from me and my napkins. What a great addiction to have. Thank you
Thanks for the tip that really worked great. I am amazed! Love all the projects. I had forgotten about the flower holder super cute! My DT never has the planks. I tried putting magnets on the back but it didn't work without the plank.
I lay them flat. Sometimes they dry completely flat and sometimes they are bowed, always very usable. I guess it depends on the cardboard. You can buy corrugated cardboard if you don’t want to upcycle. - Joan
Most times it will curl please keep in mind this is an up-cycle tutorial for paper crafters who use this in many applications. You can buy corrugated cardboard on Amazon, it comes in roll. Thanks for tuning in! 🙂 - Joan
Boxes from Amazon, haha really I pull card board boxes before they are hauled off to the recycle center. Then I peel off the top piece to get to the corrugated part. 😄 - Joan

Thank you Becky! 🙂 Joan
It toom me hours to get that in the past even though I did work with water. But never did it this way and will try it out for sure. Thanks ❤
Me too! Thanks for watching! - Joan
Great projects - very clever using cardboard! Can you decoupage the back to hide the cardboard or will the extra moisture 'warp' the cardboard?
Thanks for the great hint for the coragation. I made a.pocket.posy with a to go cup, just cut off both ends and it's ready to decorate. Toilet roll is cute because its smaller. Thanks again
I like the to-go cups! I did one last thanksgiving, very sturdy! Thanks for tuning in! 🤗 Joan
@@JoanMarieDomino I believe I may have learned that from you also.
I did a cardboard roll first. Then I went to the hair salon and they gave me coffee in the perfect paper cup to smoosh, lol

Beautiful projects.
Thanks for this tip! I try separating the cardboard and get so frustrated I just toss it,😄
So so pretty

great video...
Very cute...
Thank You so very much for this awesome tip!! I do have a question: How did you dry them so they don't warp? Love the bunny welcome sign by the way!🤗
I lay them flat. Sometimes they dry completely flat and sometimes they are bowed, always very usable. I guess it depends on the cardboard. You can buy corrugated cardboard if you don’t want to upcycle. - Joan
Once you get the top layer off the cardboard, how do you dry it so it doesn't curl?
Most times it will curl please keep in mind this is an up-cycle tutorial for paper crafters who use this in many applications. You can buy corrugated cardboard on Amazon, it comes in roll. Thanks for tuning in! 🙂 - Joan
How did you get deckled edges all the way around?
I sanded
Where do i find the corrugated cardboard?

Its "saran" wrap up north. You are a yank. Like me😊
😄yup!
