The first time I heard God's country I was completely taken by Ethel's ethereal vocals . Then the "Wicca" part emerged and I was kinda bummed out . No disrespect to the singer , of course -he's just not my cup of tea. That said , this version is great ! I also adore the demo version (minus the Wicca part, again)
He has a very nasally voice but I feel like in my opinion him paired with Ethel is such a vibe he’s definitely an acquired taste you either love him or you hate him but that’s what I love about him

That's really encouraging because I've been fantasising her doing the demo ll version of Strangers live , or including some of that versn's arrangement, rather than abandoning what I consider the best version of that song.
