I've had an RC Cola and Moon Pie once. The thing we had back in the day was to get a very cold Mountain Dew in a glass bottle, take a couple of sips, then pour a small pack of salted peanuts into the Dew. Sweet and Salty drink and a peanut too.

RC Cola is not an oddity in the Mitten. However I will say moon pies are few and far between. Actually a friend in North Carolina introduced us to them over 20 years ago. I think that's the only one I've ever eaten. 😉
Sometimes we stop there and get a sandwich at the deli and some snacks and have a picnic in Cades Cove. They have a nice variety of things there. Thanks for sharing, looks like you had a gorgeous day for your picnic.👍🏻

Nice store. I remember decades ago that location used to be a drive-in Root Beer restaurant. Absolutely the last place to stop and eat before entering GSMNP.
This store looks really cool. I love stores like this. Never had an RC cola but I love moon pies. My mom was the first one to tell me about the RC cola and moon pies back when I was a child. 😊

RC cola is straight out NC, they make Cheerwine too. They have it at the moonpie store in pigeon forge too. RC is Marcia’s go to cola and mine is Cheerwine.

We just came back from a week in Gatlinburg. We ate the pizza at the space needle and the ogle dog on your recommendation. Both lived up to your review. Also got me some Kilwins fudge. Had the best dinner at 3 Jimmys restaraunt out on Glades road. Been home for 4 days and ready to go back.
Many years ago I went to Bell Buckle, Tn to the Moon Pie Festival. Now that I can't have sugar anymore I no longer have RC cola or Moon Pie. April 14 to April 18, 2022 I was in Gatlinburg and in Old Dad's store a couple of times.

If you like moon pies you should come down to Gulf Shores/ Orange Beach for Mardi Gras. They throw moon pies as well as beads in all the parades.
