I will try this combo on light colored stoneware bisque. I can't throw - arthritis and neuropathy w tremors - yipe. Glazing is my hobby and I use mostly mold poured bisque pieces. Thanks for the tip!

Good luck with the glaze. Light clay is best as you suggest. It’s beautiful when it turns out.
