I hate it that people want to make something out of nothing when it comes to Ritchie leaving the band. Jon AND Ritchie have both addressed this more than once. The press and the fans really need to move on from it now...
Maybe Ritchie didn't want to be around such a phony and narcissistic person anymore. Jon is a terrible person.
@@watchingthecrazyworld7761 first, no he's not. Ritchie left because he was addicted to alcohol and was having huge problems in his marriage. THAT'S why he left the band. It had absolutely nothing to do with Jon. They have no issues with each other and have said so. Jon is driven, ambitious and focused. In that business you better be, or you will get ground into dust. He always has been those things since day one, that's the reason the band has gone on and still exists. Ritchie's exit was unfortunate but it never stopped Jon from keeping the band going.

@Julieglam3 richie was addicted to pain killers because he injured his shoulder and Jon didn't stop the tour. Richie had to play through the pain. Jon is not what he allows himself to appear to be. Nobody believes this spin except his cool aid drinking fans.

Bin Jovi strikes me as the type of guy that would never admit if there was animosity. Taking the high road usually works out best for all parties involved.
Admits it when the drama is over if Richie and Truly reconcile then we will know if there ever was a fight. The problems of the New Jersey Tour were admitted till 1996 or 97.
First they lied through and through there was never a risk of breaking up after the syndicate tour and in 97 is when we knew Jon hired the therapist and the band was truly at risk of breaking up for Real

Richi was wise to know when you must seize the moment when your child needs your attention, and make them a top priority for a period of time. That time his daughter will always cherish and feel the great love from her Dad will contribute to her emotional development in her life and the way she will parent her child. Great example of Richie. I wish more parents would recognize when its necessary to put family first. It will pay off. Respect for him and Jon for understanding and being a Real friend.

Reporters keep poking at this. What many people don't understand is, these guys have never believed in trash talking the others in the press. I believe it was David Sabo who was voted out in the early days for doing just that. As Jon said, "we just aren't that kind of band."
We will never know this whole story because they don't believe it's any of our business, and they're right. It's called CHARACTER.
I am very glad to hear that. In my personal opinion Jon and Ritchie are one of the greatest couples in Rock History. They together made really great songs.

Jon, I’d love to sing with you even though I would have to sing at a lower octave level than you do because even though I used to sing tenor I am now singing at a baratone/bass level. I sing along and dance with your songs while I driving. Usually I have the volume level of my Ford Flex really loud. I used to listen to my car stereo really loud when I was in high school and college back in the 1980s. Now I’m 57 years old I listen to my car stereo which is factory stock but really loud system. Most of the time I’m listening to on of your cds especially your Forever album.

Okay after all interviews lately that i saw him im convinced he is abducted and he gets no food or water and he is reading scripts to the camera. Oooor he is on pills or something. Hope he is okay. He seems tired, older than he is, thin, internally exhausted . Again hope he is okay and im completely wrong. Being a musician at this level is really hard all these years!

5/3/24 He had more going on at home! Heather dealing with mental health issues and daughter needed her Dad, he even said wasn’t there like he should’ve been for his daughter when little. Had own demons too!!
Richie’s dad was also dying or had died and he was helping his mom.

@@erikamccarthy1457 I absolutely agree. Personally, I think that although the way he left was less than eloquent, he was dealing with a very emotionally difficult set of circumstances. He handled everything and everyone as best he could. I’m still a fan and wish him the absolute best of everything.

Jon can repeat this as many times as he wants, but i don't believe for one second that Richie quit just like that. Richie and Jon had a falling out, both of them just won't tell the true story.
