i appreciate the effort to give a good overview on the classes. also the video is over 4 weeks old, before release so thats fair. but some informations are just kinda off, or maybe not researched enough. for example saying dk is the best meele and stronger then warrior is just straight up wrong.
I just hate leveling a sham as elemental though but I love pvp with it. Thankfully I only have 10 levels to go as I already leveled one to 70 but still. Thank God for dual talent now!

I still sometimes think back to 2v2's in original WotLK, some of the funny strategies we used. I was never a great PvPer, but I was above average. When we faced blood DKs (this was when fighting them was like fighting a 10 man raid boss) I used to use my unholy dk to kite the fuck out of them, to the point where they got so frustrated that they just logged out lol

Trying to decide if shammy, druid, warlock or warrior haha 😅 I think warlock it is, I'll work hard for that resi armor. Hi executus really nice informative videos I've been learning alot, i got a question if you don't mind i actually play in warmane but i havnt got much pvp experience, i almost kinda familiar with every class but after many years I've decided to start competitive pvping, i wanted to know which class/spec is the most self sufficient and capable of beating others with the same skill/gear level, it'd be a great advice coming from you for someone who over think alot for min/maxing sake, id be mostly focusing on solo play either for open world/bg and solo q in arena, sorry for the long text wall i can't wait to see you play in the classic wotlk 💜😍
Thanks! I'm sure you will enjoy resto in Battlegrounds and Dungeons! As a noob, resto in arena can be very hard since its a lot of casting/totem management. You can still have a lot of fun though!

Skillcap aside, considering all classes are being played by an equal skill-level player, I think mage and rogue should position way higher, specially mages as resilience and haste progress along with gearing. Thus, not sure this paints the right picture for mid to late Wrath mages, or otherwise the majority of the expansion.
Thanks! I agree in a sense, but the large majority of mages are not the best of players in PvP, especially coming from TBC. Their class is significantly harder to master in PvP. Most classes now have abilities that counter mages even more, and make uptime easier. I didn't want to give a false hope to new mages.

Mages and warlocks are easily countered in Wrath. Your average mage and average warlock player will do significantly worse in PvP than they did in TBC. Classes are a lot harder to master and most other classes now have abilities that counter casters.
@@ExecutusGaming Destro lock not at all hard to play. So many instacasts and stun and cc. Mage also not that hard, you gain a stun and damage procs which just give you more spammable instacasts. If you want to get to the top, every class will take a lot of mastery but mages and locks still easy.

I'm actually a very experienced PvP player, but while I have my own opinion, I was curious to hear your reasoning to justify holy paladin (specifically for BGs) over resto druid. Arenas imo are fairly obvious and comp situational; random BGs though, I find AoE healing to be very valuable and I don't see Glyph of Holy Light heal cleave really being competitive to that. Yes, Holy Paladin has a truck ton of utility and instant heals, but they are still hard casters and struggle to heal 5 targets at once. So while this is of course your subjective opinion, I'd love to specifically know how you would consider Holy Paladin superior in a BG environment. You taught me so much about warrior in classic ( i was more of the caster guy ) Is it worth it to play Wotlk if I have ever only experienced Vanilla wow aka classic wow? I'm not that bad but I work 9-5 and I feel like if i want to enjoy the game I'd have to invest 5 hours a day minimum! And I have no knowledge on TBC and WoTLK? So maybe i shouldn't get into this. I played Blood DK/Frost Mage in 2v2 back in OG wrath (I was the Mage). It was pretty nutty we got close to 2k and that was even before I got really good. You just focus on CC over everything as the Mage and the Blood DK can help peel for you and just sit there and heal himself forever. And it doesn't take long to get a kill as DK/Mage even though the DK is Blood lol
Damn leveled my lock to 72(previously 52 on wotlk release) stumbled upon this vid and feel like I've wasted my time I didnt think they were in such a bad place for pvp :( guess I need to think about boosting a shammy or war now.
I would not stop playing the class you want! Warlocks are strong, they are just getting destroyed by TSG right now. Once warlocks start getting more gear, resil, HP, they will be very strong!!

Warlocks actually have a very good amount of sustain with decent gear. You have Soul Link which transfers 20% damage to your pet, a healthstone, a voidwalker sacrifice that shields you for 3000 damage, nether protection against casters that mitigates another 30% of spell damage from that school. On top of that you have great CC with pet silence/charm, death coil, fear, and howl of terror. Warlocks also have an instant AOE stun with shadowfury that slows the affected targets by 70% when glyphed. Of course with all this you also have very very high burst. A skilled warlock with decent gear can win a 1v1 vs any class. Stick with your lock if you enjoy the class :)
This video has some bad takes and the placement of lock is the worst. Destro and Aff are hands down some of the best S tier specs. They only get one shorted in s5 and maybe s6

Yeah I agree with the other guy. I play rogue on wotlk private servers. If you play against others of same skill level, warriors, dks, rets, ferals, hunters will just train you to death. And caster comps will often oneshot you out of position. Yeah rogue can be insane but your whole team has to coordinate so we'll for rogue to be effective

Destro is S tier, no question. Mage is at least A tier.

Has great potential! I think blind and clone share the same DR, but feral has a lot of offhealing and survive for both itself and rogue.
