Seems good for avoiding interdiction as well. The added jump range is nice. Probably nice for getting off a planet or out of a gravity well. But, yeah, three minutes off an 80 minute trip is weak.
@@johnterpack3940 The new A rated SCO drives are better since I did this, especially the Python Mk II. I think some of the more dedicated Hutton people have had much better results.
@deavo74 I don't even know how to activate it. Got it for the extra jump range. But need to get it engineered to get back to where my original FSD was. Kind of underwhelmed.
I found G4 was pretty much on par with the standard SC G5 so I was happy enough. As for activating SCO it’s the same button as boosting in normally space, for me it is anyway.
I just got interdicted by Thargoids while boosting. Kind of suprising. However it should still protect from PvP or human NPC interdictions. Also as you say, taking off from a planet is not an automatic coffee break anymore.
You are not supposed to turn it on and leave it on. boost for a couple seconds and even after you turn it off your will "glide" at an immense speed before you slowly slow down to your regular supercruise speed. That is not worthless. This module is super useful in certain cases.

Well, fit an extra fuel tank and use boost in burst mode . . .
Or just take the fleet carrier lol
@@deavo74 An FC is a tad more expensive.
@@Cohen.the.Worriersince when has credits in this game been an issue 😅
It's recently come to light that the heating for the SCO is linked to fps.
🤣 GPU overheating-tasting!
Very informative video, thanks ☺️
Thank you o7
cheers man, awesome vid
Thank you very much o7
heatsinks?
Yes I had heatsinks. Or I tried them later I forget lol.
why do you keep moving about? is the overcharge causing you to go off course?
Yeah, it’s the SCO. It’s a little like being interdicted.
Worthless module 😂
Mostly. Good for chasing cargo ships that have just got the edge and are pulling away.
@@deavo74 I'd ask Mrs Diavoli to try it 👋🤔
Used it a few times. Works well for that. No cargos so far, but that’s my pirating story lol.
