Welp. If you put it like that....Sabo is the flame wall. The 4 commanders are a related to castle stuff, crows, walls, traps and army moral. Koala and Hank the sharks or animals on the water outside the castle walls. The rest of the Ppl are the soldiers
It’s always been my belief that the Man Marked by Flames is connected to the Lunarians. Maybe not a Lunarian themselves, but having made a promise to the last of them. This being “Marked by Flames” means being tied with the Lunarians, the wielders of fire.
That would actually make a lot of sense because we’ve been getting a lot of info about lunarians recently. They’re an ancient people as well and we’re talking poneglyphs so I can see it.
and Dragon could easily be the one. It would make sense for the leader of the revolutionary army to be connected to a race of people that is extinct and lived on top of the Red Line, especially that we know that he is also connected to Ohara and Vegapunk
For the people saying it’s Dragon I have a couple questions. If the man marked by flames was Dragon, wouldn’t people know his name since he is the most wanted man? And if he had the missing poneglyph which is the one from fishman island wouldn’t Jinbei know a little about it? Or even Neptune at least?
The problemen i have. Nico Robin was with him during the timeskip so why wouldnt she know about it. If it got adressed in the vid my bad watching it now.
I'd say the answer to the first question is the same as Doflamingo and Joker - Everybody knows Doffy was a warlord, but not everybody knew Doffy was Joker. but yeah you have a point with the other questions
He also isn't marked by flame. He clearly has a tattoo. It might be a brand, but you would think they would call him the branded man or something, and not the man marked by flame. He hasnt been shown to control water either. It's literally only the black ship that matches, and people are flipping their shit over this theory, lol.
I have a feeling it won't be Dragon because Robin mentioned in Chapter 1060 that the last poneglyph hasn't been seen in such a long time and they don't have a clue where to look. She probably would have known Dragon had it at that time. I have a hunch that Oda wants introduce a new character covered in flame tattoos. Probably a former Roger Pirates member
Well, to be fair, we knew where the poneglyph was, and obviously some people know where it is since they legend about the man exists. Dragon also is very secretive. He doesn't tell everyone everything. Iva's been working with him since forever ago, but never knew Dragon had a son. YET Kuma DID know. Dragon does strange things sometimes.
Why the hell is it assumed dragon would tell robin right away he has the poneglyph. He may have not. Just bc he didnt think jt was right time yet or something
Dragon may have just kept the information to himself thinking that they'd be lead back to him for the poneglyph when the time was right, there's a tendency in one piece, especially for Luffy, for him not to be spoon fed and just allowing nature and Destiny to take its course so everything happens at the right time..we see this a lot in the way Shanks watches over luffy
I don't think it's a character we've met yet but one we might have heard about. My money is on Davy Jones or a character inspired by him. Through the davy back fight we know that he exists in the One Piece world and as the sailors' devil, he also has a connection to fire. The black ship just has this mysterious vibe, it would be almost disappointing if it belonged to a character we're already as familiar with as Dragon. I somehow feel the black ship has been sailing the seas since the void century. It might even be the original Joyboy's ship.
I actually found out Gol.D Roger has a big brother called David .D Jones "Davy" being what everyone calls him according to a fan wiki site. Black Ship = Oro Jackson, Whirlpools = the other remnants of Roger Pirates are present. also the only picture of Davy is a shadowy picture of him surrounded by flames
Dragon is not the man marked by flames. If Dragon had the last road poneglyph why did he not inform Robin about having the last road poneglyph, when she was traveling with them for the past 2 years?
the man marked by flames is jack sparrow. His ship (the black pearl) is pitch black, during the fight with davy jones, he sunk the flying dutchman in a whirlpool, and he was branded a pirate on his arm, and it would be very very funny
I think saul is still very possible without much hoop jumping. The scars he has from the Ohara incident could seem like burn marks. When they talk about the whirlpools, Saul is a giant DF or not he can probably cause a stir in a fight and we all know the people of the OP world are not afraid to stretch and exaggerate a story. So saying that they "created whirlpools" could just be tall tales in a sense. As for the ship, its plausible that anyone can travel on a black ship, it would have to be big enough for Saul to have made it from Ohara to Elbaf. I am excited for whoever it ends up being, but my money is still on Saul just a little bit more.
if looking at the pattern, shanks who was rogers apprentice helped luffy start his goal as pirate king, we then got crocus who was rogers doctor appeared at the very beginning of the grand line, next was rayeigh who luffy met at the end of the first half of the grand line to help him get ready for the second half new world, scopper gaban being the man marked by flames would make sense as hes the only main crewmate of roger left we havent seen yet in the main timeline, and him having the final road poneglyph would make alot of sense as well
Yeah would tie in with roger giving people “jobs” asking garp to look after his kid, Rayleigh stationed at sabaody (unless that’s just a cool spot to hang) etc
Luffy:where is the last road ponoglyth? Robin:oh I have it. Dragon gave me a copy and I never spoke about it until now. You know after getting the other three and I just love explaining things. Narrator:end of one piece. I don't think it's dragon. Robin would have had them go straight to the one piece for the true history if they had it or dragon is more shady than his current shades leaving the one women who could read these stones not see it
Dragon has some strange hobbies if he takes time out of his busy day to sail around on a black ship drawing attention to himself with one of the most important objects in the world attacking random pirates for no particular reason, all the while gaining an epithet defined by having a burn scar implying that people have seen him. I'm thinking 99% Scopper 1% Davy Jones. As awful as it would be for the story, Oden is honestly a more reasonable option than Dragon, with his body literally being nothing but burn scars without any skin left, having a direct connection to poneglyphs, a wife connected to the void century with time travel abilities, a history of abandoning his country, and a mission to ensure the poneglyph gets into the "right hands"
Random thought about Zunesha; is he truly a naturally long-lived elephant, or did an ancient user of the Op-Op fruit use the immortal surgery on him as part of his punishment? It's a possibility that one of the ancient Celestial Dragons who saw/fought Nika 800 years ago made it so that Zunesha has to 'walk the seas for eternity' and one of the starts of the Celestial Dragon's cruelty and corruption.
I have a lot of problems with the Dragon theory. He is a obviously a very well-known man in the world, so it's seems just weird that people would know that the guy who has the poneglyph has some sort of mark, but they would not recognise that it's the world's most wanted criminal and leader of the revoutionary army ? The only thing that makes sense is if it's a new character or someone that was even really in the background, like maybe Xebec if it turns out he's still alive. Also this would be the first time we ever anything about Dragon caring about the One Piece. As far as we know he's just a revoutionary and not a pirate, why would he care about road poneglyphs ?
I've brought this up to others but it very well can be the Joker/Doffy scenario. Doffy himself was famous as a pirate, warlord, and king, but actually few people know he was also the kingpin of the underworld, Joker. A person can have more than one alias that had little connection until people really investigate it.
@@IreneShardaForever few people not associated with the underworld knew he had dealings with them. But obviously many people who deal with business in the underworld were very well aware that Doflamingo was involved
@@CoOlKyUbI96 I'm sure there are also people who know the identity of the Man marked by flames too. The point stands though. You can have multiple alias and not always have them connect. Especially for some one as secretive as Dragon. I mean, even his own men didn't know his full name until a few years ago.
@@IreneShardaForever Fire scar is a physical description. To get that name he has to have been seen, and being seen rules out the possibility that it's Dragon because everyone knows what Dragon looks like.
I'm a bit surprised Tekking thinks its him, given how much he knows about literary theory and he can't see Dragon being The Man Marked By Flames creates several plot holes, and some of them are BIG plot holes
I think it will be someone we've heard of but never seen in the modern day, a big player of the prior era. Some event in the past left this person so horribly disfigured by burns that he is totally unrecognizable and thus only known as the man marked by flames. I think this is the way for it to be a satisfying reveal (it's someone we've heard of not just a brand new character) and make sense as to why they are not known by name (like Dragon would be)
What I find a bit odd is that Dragon didn't tell Robin when Robin was with him during the 2 year Skip that he has a poneglyph. Kind of stupid when he kept that from her just because he thought it wasn't time for her to read it. Dragon and none of his people can read it. I'd be surprised if he didn't like to know what it would say either. Then Nico Robin comes to him one of the two people in the world who can still read the poneglyph and he doesn't take this chance? Strange Strange. Guess it's someone else.
Dragon would likely know what the poneglyphs say or what the void century entails. With that said, nothing tells us Robin ever asked and the information could be extremely damaging not only to WG.
I think it's cause it's for plot purposes, Oda didn't wanna show us where all the red poneglyphs, Most likely he had a plan of how he's going to show the 3 red ones which he did and keep 1 secretive so then when it's time to reveal it, That's when we will understand why oda chose to hide the last road poneglyph away from the other 3 which he has a plan for it which most likely why he didn't wanna show all the road poneglyphs in one setting
It might be as simple as the Poneglyph not being on Baltigo. So even if he told Robin, without mentioning the Colour, bringing her to it would have been difficult. Because Dragon has many eyes on him. Even in his own organisation, and excluding spies. Can you imagine how it would look if the Leader of the Revolutionary Army went somewhere with the Devil Child Nico Robin, sole survivor of Ohara, only possibly taking along his most trusted. Which would focus even more eyes. There are a few Watsonian possibilities.
Well he might have If he did Robin would not tell us until we need to know safer that way so Luffy or ussop dosent just tell Blackbeard in a comedic scene
I don't believe Dragon was branded. The tattoo means something. If you look back at him at Ohara, you can see him wearing a band on his leg with that same symbol. He was wearing the symbol long before he got it tattooed, but what does it mean?
I dont want it to be Dragon but i can already see it being written like Robin knew since the time skip that Dragon is the man marked by flames and that hes had the poneglyph but Luffy doesnt want help that makes it too easy on the adventure like if she told him all thjs he might get upset and think its cheating like when Raileigh offered to tell them what the One Piece was Luffy yelled at Ussop for saying yes
kinda off topic but ever since i saw the theory on twitter that lucci‘s pidgeon hattori is lafitte or an extention of his df powers i can‘t stop thinking about how he managed to „quietly“ sneak into marie jois. doesn‘t take a lot of sneaking when you get in with cp0
3:48 Now I really want this to be the case now. The idea of Panda Man being some kind of all powerful, omnipresent deity sounds like the type of goofy thing Oda would do.
Oda intended the ship to be as it was in the anime, as he was directly involved with a side project depicting the ship and they also did the anime colors.
@@IreneShardaForever Yeah but in Artur's video he brought up specific Oda-involved projects that also used the same coloring that the anime did. (He was involved enough to input what the ships should be colored as).
My top pick is shiki or scopper. Scopper hasnt shown uo ay anytime and roger wouldn't know what happens after being captured. This would also give him some plot relevance while explaining how he hasn't done anything yet
I realise a lot of people wan this character to be pre-established, especially since introducing a new player into the game this late would seem kind of rushed, or perhaps squeezed is a better word. We saw what happened with the Nika reveal. However, I do hope it is someone new. I think Oda could do it successfully.
I really doubt that the man marked by flames is Dragon. Dragon is way too famous as a revolutionary and the world's most wanted man to be described as a man marked by flames at this point in the story. Also, BB's crew had an encournter with Dragon and some of his officers recently at Baltigo so (assuming they met face to face) it would be weird for BB to not just call him by his name when talking about man marked by flames. My theory is that it is Scopper Gaban. Reasons: -A high-ranking member of Roger's crew who went to Laugh Tale so he must have knowledge of the Road ponyglyphs as well. -We know Roger and Rayleigh don't have DF; Maybe during fight with Shiki it was Scopper who created the winds and the whirlpools; also I like the idea of whirling axes as a move. -After the Roger pirates disbanded maybe Scopper was tasked with protecting the ponyglyph. -Maybe Scopper chose some myserious and hard to reach place like a volcano to hide the ponyglyph; maybe that's where he got burnt? Anyway I can't wait to see Scopper in the story!
Tekking: "If one of these character is not the man marked by flames, I will light this jacket on fire." Me: "Sooo... all of them are the man marked by flames or your jacked goes up in flames? Well... it was a nice jacket..."
Could it be a straight up reference to the pirate of the Caribbean, u know the "black pearl" and the captain is a jacks sparrow like character that we haven't meet yet
The issue with Dragon is that he should have given the final Poneglyph or at least the directions to it to Robin during the time skip (i.e when you learn of the road you must travel come find me). While considering who the man marked by flames is, I came to the idea of it being Moria. Thriller Bark is a ship shrouded in darkness that warps the sea currents around it. As for being marked by flames, Moria was a young reckless pirate until he fought Kaido then he lost the will to fight (marked both figuratively and potentially literally by flames (the Boro breath)). This would then place the final Poneglyph with Blackbeard giving him a further edge in the race for king.
Dragon is secretive and has his own way of doing things. He's also like Luffy in that he doesn't always mention things even though it should be obvious. He also might have a reason for not sharing it with Robin, and she wouldn't know to ask since at the time she didn't even know what a road poneglyph was back then.
@@IreneShardaForever wouldn’t know how to ask? Dragon was specifically searching for nico robin, we found that out at tequila wolf. She would simply ask, why were you looking for me. If he had a ponyglyph the only answer would be “to read this”.
Dragon seems like a likely option because of the whirlpools, but everything else is a huge stretch. The timeline especially is weird. He would have to come get the poneglyph quickly, probably before Whitebeard got there, but also he needs time to start the revolutionary army and his shenanigans with Luffy's mom. Someone like Scooper Gaban had all of the time, taking the Poneglyph could have easily been one of Roger's final orders, and as for the whirlpools he could just swing his Axe and make one. Or it could be the egg, which is gonna need to be relevant at some point, I refuse to believe there was a random egg on Roger's ship and it goes nowhere.
Hear me out… I think the man marked by flames is someone who’s received the eternal youth surgery, where a literal eternal flame is what provides the eternal youth and gives way to the moniker “marked by flames”. We still have yet to see (confirmed) someone who has received the surgery, and this might be the way to introduce someone who’s protected the poneglyph for possibly centuries
I genuinely think the man marked by flames is Saul. >Member of the WG >Present and frozen during the ohara attack >Still alive, probably traumatized by ohara, therefore ''marked'' by flames >Connection to robin, who can read the poneglyphs.
@@KatieHuni Saul was thought to be dead after he got “executed “ for his betrayal. It doesn’t seem far fetched that he would change the colors of his ship to be more discreet and anonymous. As opposed to it being an obviously bright marine ship
i think it’s a fishman or at least has a fishman based crew because of the irony of flames being associated with a sea person & the cause of whirlpool is fishmen making them underwater
8:55 it is more likely that Garp is NOT the biological father of dragon. While it's customary in a lot of cultures for the woman to take the man's last name in marriage, in situations where the woman's family is more influential, or the man's family has a bad reputation for example. They might adopt the man into their family (not as a literal son but into the family tree) before the wedding, to make it a monkey x monkey wedding. Garp has shielded roger's son. I'm not saying he helped dragon out of being hunted by the celestials or something, but he is the type of character to extend a hand to those in need. And if his daughter loved that man, all the more likely. In the same vein as the one above, but looking back earlier in history. Garp could've also taken dragon in at god valley and THEN met a woman, who COULD be Garp's daughter.
They definitely dont look alike....but they do have scars on the right side of there face.....oda doing a family connection thing...if hes not garps son then he is either rocks or ima son..but i how he's garps son...
I just did the math...dragon would have been 14 or 15 at the time of god Valley..kind of doubtful none of the other crew wouldnt have remembered him... he may actually be garps son
Sawyer7mage already figured it out , the man marked by flames is Scopper , the ship is a worn out version of the Oro Jackson and the whirlpools are being made by the creature that hatched out of the giant egg on Roger's ship
My bet is on "character not previously introduced, or at least someone we don't have enough information on" (like a former rocks or roger pirate). Don't think it's Dragon as people would have just named him, he already has a job managing the revolutionaries, and neither Robin nor Neptune having any clue is also unlikely.
I've been saying it's a guy oda referenced way back in like 07. He said he was excited to draw a character with an eye patch in the last saga of the story.
Agreed. The "marked by flames" is going to be a continuous hype tool. Like in Naruto, when Tobis face was partially revealed and then we get a supposedly good Mifune leading alliance talks - with very similar scars.
@hanspeter qwe you're right haha. It may not be 'eye patch guy' but it's definitely a character we haven't met yet. The one piece world is so big people wanna look inside the preexisting story for the answer.
Personally I have my stocks on Scopper. The problem with it being Dragon is his direct focus on fighting the World Government directly. Protecting the road poneglyph from Pirates sounds like a big departure from his main objectives.
The man marked by flames is obviously Scopper Gabon, because he's the least seen character since the start of the story. I only see it being Dragon unless he's hunting for an Ancient Weapon that he knows is at Laugh Tale, but doesn't have the rest of the Poneglyphs to access it because of so many inconveniences over the years.
Dragon is wearing the symbol from his face on his clothes in the vegapunk flashback i took it as a mark of him fully resolving himself to the revolutionary’s
My problem with it being Dragon is I feel like people would know what his ship looks like. If it was in Fishman Osland then it could be Davy Jones, I feel that’s going to be something, or Scopper
I feel like its scopper too..but it could be dragon....you commented on his ship but remember, few know where dragons base is at , they are very secretive so im.sure few would know how his ship would look like!
@@coreyharvey8953possibly, I know we don’t see him move often but we know he at least takes actions in the East Blue, so I feel like he has made personal stops in other areas. The fact that this rumor goes around means important people have seen this ship and spread it cause why would he be linked to poneglyphs by random people, ya know?
I hope its not dragon. Randy makes the perfect point that if dragon was this man marked by flames the whole time then thats a huge plot hole considering Robin spent the timeskip with dragon and the revs. Makes no sense
In all official sources from Bandai merch to Shueisha official color manga with Oda's color picks, Dragon's ship is not black. It literally can't be him. Dragon's ship is brown (wood-colored), green (the dragon), and red (the dragon's frills and details on the ship)
@@membersonly807 in the manga it's brown green and red. In the black and white manga it's shown as black because Oda hates using screen tones and it's AT NIGHT
Honestly I think this Dragon theory is such a reach. He's never shown any interest in pirate affairs so it makes little sense that he's sailing around with a poneglyph. He seems to usually have his hands full with the Rev Army. More likely its Shiki or Rocks But most likely a new character
Robin actually has a subtle reaction when Kid mentions the "Man marked by flames". It could be that she knows it's Dragon, considering she was with the Revolutionaries during the time skip. And for anyone saying how does nobody connect that name with Dragon considering his notoriety, we can assume that it is not his epithet, as in title, but more a code name that is not publicly known. Flame mark - connection with flame of revolution?
So if it's dragon then why do they say he has a black ship. Why do they only discribe his ship as being black when his ship isn't black. Why didn't they just say the ship had a dragon or a creature wrapped around it. It's because it's not Dragon. They clearly say marked by flames. Even if Dragon had a tattoo of fire it still wouldn't apply because he wouldn't be marked by flames because the flames would have to mark him so a fire design tattoo would mean he was marked with a flame not by one
Theres a counting system that uses crossing lines like dragons mark, i think that mark could actually be where dragon branded the number of his original group of freedom fighters who were killed by the government
I want the M.M.B.F to be a completely new character. Not anybody that we already know and not anybody who are a Lunarian or a former slave. Everyone thinks that the M.M.B.F is already a pre-established character because they want everything to be connected. They are too afraid to think that it’s anything new.
Well, its not that people want everything to be connected, but calling someone "man marked by flames" and not giving them a name is weird. Vegapunk was a completely new character that we didnt know. Kaido was a completely new character that we didnt know. But they werent named "The number one scientist in the world" or "strongest creature in the Yonko" untill they were revealed. They were referred to that after they were already namedropped. It is bad writing to be so vague about someone that isnt somewhat established in the story yet. Silver Axe is established in the story, but he is also a completely new character. Saul being revealed to be alive makes sense too, as he doesnt want the marines to know he survived Ohara and just goes by the man marked by flames(altho, why not giant marked by flames then, would make more sense). Just being like "Oh hey, I'm Greg. Yeah, I can create whirlpools to protect the final poneglyph, I am also really strong yet no one in the world has ever noticed me take that poneglyph" would be really, REALLY bad writing and doesnt make sense in-universe. It's not about being afraid to think anything is new, its about it being extremely bad writing if it was someone completely new. Too many questions arriving if it were: how did they invade fishman island and steal it without Whitebeard or the (ex-)Roger Pirates intervening? how did they learn enough to know the poneglyph needs protection? why does no one know who he is if he was capable of both stealing the poneglyph and protecting it for the past 2 decades? why does he not hunt for the other poneglyphs, as he is clearly capable of protecting it from the likes of Big Mom and Kaido? It makes sense for a character like Scopper Gaban or Silver Axe to be protecting the poneglyph, neither of them are truly established characters, both can quite easily be forgotten over time by in-universe, and technically they are new characters. It is someone we know, but not someone particularly known in the world of One Piece.
@@Predated2 I can’t answer all your questions, but I can answer some: How did he stole it?: skill Why is he protecting it?: Who says that he’s protecting it. (My current head-canon is that he’s an art collector, but that’s just me.) Why haven’t he go after the other road poneglyphs?: Yonko
I think Dragon was once married to a lady celestial dragon. I think that once Dragon could’ve been an admiral and one day he was called upon by the celestials. Specifically Luffy’s mom, but instead of being needed for some mission he was forced to become the husband of the CD. That tattoo he has isn’t a tattoo but a special branding. Fast forward, after she gives birth to Luffy, he finds the final RP and seeing how corrupt everything is he decides to take Luffy & the RP and leave becoming the world’s worst criminal. Of course this is all just speculation
If it's really dragon (which i personally kind of doubt due to Robin and Sabo never saying anything about dragon having a road porneglyph) it would be really funny if he just had the awakened "swirly swirly" fruit or something. Sure, he can create whirlpools and tornados, but it's just because he is overall a really spinny guy.
I just got one problem with the dragon theory : Dragon is known by everyone in the World of one piece being the most "wanted" man in the World So why would they call him the man marked by flames and not just Monkey .D dragon
I am 100% sold on Wang Zhi for this, Wang used black ships irl to smuggle weapons, laws face expression when kid mentioned the man marked by flames is a clear hint to the rocky port incident where (I assume) he stole 100 hearts of Wang Zhi's crew (considering blackbeard mentions they all still live on beehive) which made him a warlord and If it all fits, then I have a feeling this could mean something really bad. Considering that the Black Beard Pirates tried to figure out who the man marked by flames was has been over 1 year ago which was before BB took over Beehive, it could imply that the 4th Road Porneglyph was indeed moved to Beehive with Wang Zhi as it's guardian (maybe by Whitebeard), which means if the Black Beard Pirates stole big moms road porneglyph when they invaded whole cake to kidnap pudding, got the 4th porneglyph on beehive and now the 2 porneglyphs from law ..... that means blackbeard has all 4 together and only needs to translate them.
it cant be Dragon he is the most famous person in the world why would any one not recognize him, if so many people saw this man so clearly that they saw he is marked by flames they should at least see hes face and Dragon is just too famous not to be recognize, the moment people will see him they will know its him after all he is the most wanted man alive...
Then as soon as it's in the possession of the crew Tom gets killed off for real? I don't think my boy Franky could handle that heartbreak all over again
Is it possible it might be Tom, Scopper, and whatever was in the egg on the Oro Jackson? 1.Tom seeks out Scopper, who has the location of the Oro Jackson. 2.Tom's modifications make the ship completely unrecognizable. 3. Only Scopper is recognized as the man marked by flames so that Tom can still stay out of sight. 4. Scopper, Tom, and Egg hatchling wait as the final gate keepers. P.S. "The man marked by flames has THE poneglyph" is still at the end of the day, just a rumor. They may only know/have the location of it.
If dragon interacted with lunarians it’s possible those marking are “flames” metaphorically and it would connect to shandorans nicely as they had facial tattoos as well (king and that one guy with an RPG from skypia)
i dont think it CAN be dragon because back when kid and law talked about the man marked by flames robin had a question mark over her head. i think robin would know if dragon had a load poneglyph cause they spent a lot of time together over the timeskip and i dont see any reason for robin not to tell the strawhats
I think the man mark by flames is a whole new character since oda mentioned he’ll draw the only one pirate in one piece with an eye patch and he said if we saw him hes the indicator its the end of the story
The more the Man Marked by Flames is mentioned the more I am starting to believe one or multiple of Roger's former crew guarding the final Road Poneglyph and with this chapters description of whirlpools which swallow up approaching's ships I am wondering if Sunbell could be involved. As all the Roger Pirate (sans Buggy and Toki) are all non-devil fruit users the only Roger Pirate I can see able to create whirlpools is Sunbell as he is the only Fishman who is part of the crew. Also seeing how no one has seen or heard of the Lost Fishman Island Poneglyph in 20 years for rumours to start circulating recently seems odd. Seeing how only Roger Pirate members knew that they had found the One Piece 20 years too early makes it seem like they have to be involved. Also imagine the Straw Hats, especially Franky, coming across the Black Ship only to discover it to be a repainted Oro Jackson crewed by Scopper Gaban, Sunbell, and a few other Roger Pirates. Heck I would be happy to simply see it be a Klabautermann of the Oro Jackson itself safeguarding the Poneglyph.
The whirlpools the man marked by flame’s utilizes to win his battles is the same weapon Roger used to beat shiki when his ship was surrounded by the golden fleet. Shiki even says “Roger join me, with that weapon you found we can take over the world” then the narrator of that movie mentions how there was a “sudden change in weather” which helped the roger pirates win.
I like to think whoever is sailing on that ship is constantly using armament haki on it, or they only activate it when another ship is close enough to see them, sort of a preemptive block from whatever attack could possibly come their way.
My only question is that isn’t Dragon and the revolutionaries at the Kamabakka Queendom back in the Paradise part of the Grand Line in the Kuma scenes during Egghead?
The man marked by flame must: A) know king Neptune in order to take the poneglyph away. B) know Whitebeard, for two reasons: 1) Fish-men island was under his protection. 2) it's possible that the poneglyph was taken by Whitebeard himself and given to the man marked by flame. or he just stole it which is also possible.
That could be it Tekking, Dragon was captured, branded, and escaped when Garp and Roger fought Rocks, which would explain why they would be willing to save their slaves because Garp's son was with them. And Rocks probably attacked them because he wanted Dragon's devil fruit.
I honestly don't understand how Dragon is even in contention let alone the leading theory right now. Here's a few facts I think debunk Dragon 1) He is currently in Paradise at the Kamabaka Kingdom. 2) Dragon is the most wanted man in the world, people have seen the man marked by flames(assuming that's how he got the nickname) So people would recognize him. 3) Nico Robin was with him for 2 years and she was confused/intrigued when Kid brought the flame man up for the fist time. I just honestly can't see it making any sense because of the first point.
I don't think Dragon makes a lot of sense narratively because why would Robin not know anything about it? She spent the entire timeskip with the Revolutionaries so you'd think she'd have the knowledge of the stone (or at least heard of a Road Ponyglyph) before Zou.
I think enough people have said their issues with it being dragon so I'll say at least that my theory is that whoever this ends up being, they'll be the long-awaited pirate with an Eyepatch we've been waiting for.
Dragons are usually the last defense before the knight gets their treasure.
Welp. If you put it like that....Sabo is the flame wall. The 4 commanders are a related to castle stuff, crows, walls, traps and army moral. Koala and Hank the sharks or animals on the water outside the castle walls. The rest of the Ppl are the soldiers

The scar dragon has represents the poneglyps he dont have
yeah theyre called celestial dragons...
It’s always been my belief that the Man Marked by Flames is connected to the Lunarians. Maybe not a Lunarian themselves, but having made a promise to the last of them. This being “Marked by Flames” means being tied with the Lunarians, the wielders of fire.
Wow I didn't even consider the Lunarians. Wouldn't mind if the MMBF turns out to have a Lunarian connection.
That would actually make a lot of sense because we’ve been getting a lot of info about lunarians recently. They’re an ancient people as well and we’re talking poneglyphs so I can see it.
Meh
and Dragon could easily be the one. It would make sense for the leader of the revolutionary army to be connected to a race of people that is extinct and lived on top of the Red Line, especially that we know that he is also connected to Ohara and Vegapunk
That's a big brain idea, which brings it back toward Dragon.
Also everytime we see him he’s in revolutionary headquarters
I'd say the answer to the first question is the same as Doflamingo and Joker - Everybody knows Doffy was a warlord, but not everybody knew Doffy was Joker. but yeah you have a point with the other questions
He also isn't marked by flame. He clearly has a tattoo. It might be a brand, but you would think they would call him the branded man or something, and not the man marked by flame. He hasnt been shown to control water either. It's literally only the black ship that matches, and people are flipping their shit over this theory, lol.
And the argument that completely invalidates it being Dragon: Why didnt he tell Robin about the road poneglyphs during the timeskip
Dragon does strange things sometimes.
this
Scopper Gaban hopefully?
Why the hell is it assumed dragon would tell robin right away he has the poneglyph. He may have not. Just bc he didnt think jt was right time yet or something
Dragon may have just kept the information to himself thinking that they'd be lead back to him for the poneglyph when the time was right, there's a tendency in one piece, especially for Luffy, for him not to be spoon fed and just allowing nature and Destiny to take its course so everything happens at the right time..we see this a lot in the way Shanks watches over luffy
Tekkin so confident knowing the man marked by flames that's he's ready to become man marked by flames 😂
after all these years watching you, you never disappoint with the charisma and content!
Fr
He’s got “it”

he's that kind of guy
Come for the One Piece
Stay for the Tekking!
Black Ship = Oro Jackson, Whirlpools = the other remnants of Roger Pirates are present. also the only picture of Davy is a shadowy picture of him surrounded by flames
forget about the picture it's fake af it seems :D
@@Sammalkives probably found out that roger didnt have a brother too lmfao
@Sammalkives yeah, man, why would they have different last names? 😂
@@leopardtree2249 I guess what I learned here is that one piece fan sites can't be trusted at all 🤥
Dragon is not the man marked by flames.
Dayum spot on
I think saul is still very possible without much hoop jumping.
You just said a whole bunch of nothing💀
if looking at the pattern, shanks who was rogers apprentice helped luffy start his goal as pirate king, we then got crocus who was rogers doctor appeared at the very beginning of the grand line, next was rayeigh who luffy met at the end of the first half of the grand line to help him get ready for the second half new world, scopper gaban being the man marked by flames would make sense as hes the only main crewmate of roger left we havent seen yet in the main timeline, and him having the final road poneglyph would make alot of sense as well
Exactly oda loves doing this
Yeah would tie in with roger giving people “jobs” asking garp to look after his kid, Rayleigh stationed at sabaody (unless that’s just a cool spot to hang) etc
@@Sertifi And just how would he know that?
It might be as simple as the Poneglyph not being on Baltigo. So even if he told Robin, without mentioning the Colour, bringing her to it would have been difficult. Because Dragon has many eyes on him. Even in his own organisation, and excluding spies. Can you imagine how it would look if the Leader of the Revolutionary Army went somewhere with the Devil Child Nico Robin, sole survivor of Ohara, only possibly taking along his most trusted. Which would focus even more eyes. There are a few Watsonian possibilities.
Well he might have
If he did Robin would not tell us until we need to know safer that way so Luffy or ussop dosent just tell Blackbeard in a comedic scene
I am awaiting a Going Merry style funeral for your jacket
I don't believe Dragon was branded. The tattoo means something. If you look back at him at Ohara, you can see him wearing a band on his leg with that same symbol. He was wearing the symbol long before he got it tattooed, but what does it mean?
I dont want it to be Dragon but i can already see it being written like Robin knew since the time skip that Dragon is the man marked by flames and that hes had the poneglyph but Luffy doesnt want help that makes it too easy on the adventure like if she told him all thjs he might get upset and think its cheating like when Raileigh offered to tell them what the One Piece was Luffy yelled at Ussop for saying yes
the man marked by flames really became much more interesting since his first mention
kinda off topic but ever since i saw the theory on twitter that lucci‘s pidgeon hattori is lafitte or an extention of his df powers i can‘t stop thinking about how he managed to „quietly“ sneak into marie jois. doesn‘t take a lot of sneaking when you get in with cp0

The anime makes color mistakes all the time. Several instances have already been pointed out by other theorists and reactors
@@IreneShardaForever Yeah but in Artur's video he brought up specific Oda-involved projects that also used the same coloring that the anime did. (He was involved enough to input what the ships should be colored as).
I feel like dragon is awkward since he’s in kamabakka kingdom and the way it’s spun is the man mark by flames is constantly sailing in the new world.
My top pick is shiki or scopper. Scopper hasnt shown uo ay anytime and roger wouldn't know what happens after being captured. This would also give him some plot relevance while explaining how he hasn't done anything yet
Seems unlikely dragon wouldn't tell Robin about the road ponyglyph, good luck burning your jacket tek
I realise a lot of people wan this character to be pre-established, especially since introducing a new player into the game this late would seem kind of rushed, or perhaps squeezed is a better word. We saw what happened with the Nika reveal.
However, I do hope it is someone new. I think Oda could do it successfully.
The mark on dragons face is the pattern on the bottom of garps shoe from the years of "training"
Reasons:
-A high-ranking member of Roger's crew who went to Laugh Tale so he must have knowledge of the Road ponyglyphs as well.
Tekking: "If one of these character is not the man marked by flames, I will light this jacket on fire."
Me: "Sooo... all of them are the man marked by flames or your jacked goes up in flames? Well... it was a nice jacket..."
>Member of the WG
>Present and frozen during the ohara attack
>Still alive, probably traumatized by ohara, therefore ''marked'' by flames
>Connection to robin, who can read the poneglyphs.
You also forgot the marine ships is marine color and not a pitch-black ship which one of the BB pirates had that description
@@KatieHuni Saul could've deserted to piracy while still keeping the WG's secrets, much like kuzan.
Yea you got to be a little bit slow in the head
@@KatieHuni Saul was thought to be dead after he got “executed “ for his betrayal. It doesn’t seem far fetched that he would change the colors of his ship to be more discreet and anonymous. As opposed to it being an obviously bright marine ship
i think it’s a fishman or at least has a fishman based crew because of the irony of flames being associated with a sea person & the cause of whirlpool is fishmen making them underwater
Man is not fishman
@@coreyharvey8953 it's also possible luffy has recessive genes. Meaning garps genes skipped a generation.
Dragon is too busy leading an army to be wondering the new world guarding a poneglyph
Protecting the road poneglyph from Pirates sounds like a big departure from his main objectives.
also that Robin would've already known about the Lode Pneglyphs after the TS
The man marked by flames is obviously Scopper Gabon, because he's the least seen character since the start of the story. I only see it being Dragon unless he's hunting for an Ancient Weapon that he knows is at Laugh Tale, but doesn't have the rest of the Poneglyphs to access it because of so many inconveniences over the years.
It's not obviously scopper there's a character at the start of the series that looks very similar to an aged scopper....

In all official sources from Bandai merch to Shueisha official color manga with Oda's color picks, Dragon's ship is not black. It literally can't be him. Dragon's ship is brown (wood-colored), green (the dragon), and red (the dragon's frills and details on the ship)

Honestly I think this Dragon theory is such a reach. He's never shown any interest in pirate affairs so it makes little sense that he's sailing around with a poneglyph. He seems to usually have his hands full with the Rev Army.

But most likely a new character

I like the theory that it's prince Loki. Big mom burned down the village on elbaf a week after he was born.
Hoping for a new char as well
I'd be happy with scopper (or davey Jones; he's my favourite pick, lol), but if it turns out to be someone new, I'd be happy with that too
Well, its not that people want everything to be connected, but calling someone "man marked by flames" and not giving them a name is weird.
@@Predated2 I can’t answer all your questions, but I can answer some:
How did he stole it?: skill
Why is he protecting it?: Who says that he’s protecting it. (My current head-canon is that he’s an art collector, but that’s just me.)
Why haven’t he go after the other road poneglyphs?: Yonko

Marked by Flames I took it for Luffy since he has a literal X on his chest he got from Burning HOT MAGMA.
I'm banking on the blonde guy that talked to crocus that one time.
I just got one problem with the dragon theory :
Dragon is known by everyone in the World of one piece being the most "wanted" man in the World
So why would they call him the man marked by flames and not just Monkey .D dragon
Good point
There is so many obvious points tek is just ignoring

2 years with dragon is technically longer than she's been around luffy. She would definitely know if dragon had a ponyglyph
I am too excited to see Tekking lighting this jacket on fire on Chapter 1088 when they reveal everything about this man marked by flames
I think the man mark by flames is a whole new character since oda mentioned he’ll draw the only one pirate in one piece with an eye patch and he said if we saw him hes the indicator its the end of the story
Yes, good theory
When Kidd and Killer mention the Man markes by flames before they leave Wano, they got Robin's attention. So probably, Dragon
The Klabauterman of the Oro Jackson is an interesting theory.
Love the video and keep up the great work tekking
The whirlpools the man marked by flame’s utilizes to win his battles is the same weapon Roger used to beat shiki when his ship was surrounded by the golden fleet. Shiki even says “Roger join me, with that weapon you found we can take over the world” then the narrator of that movie mentions how there was a “sudden change in weather” which helped the roger pirates win.
Pandaman being narrator is it Tekking. You figured that out right there. I'm calling it.
tekking my boi
its spring time dont forget to dust your vents and change ur air filter thanks
Happy Birthday Tekking!! 🎉
Oda: scraps Zuko crossover "the jacket must burn"
"Verona!" broke me, great comedic timing as always.
I like to think whoever is sailing on that ship is constantly using armament haki on it, or they only activate it when another ship is close enough to see them, sort of a preemptive block from whatever attack could possibly come their way.
Well I had a terrible day and tekking you turned my day around. Thank you tekking
One Sentence
"It's not Dragon "
It can be any one but not Dragon
My only question is that isn’t Dragon and the revolutionaries at the Kamabakka Queendom back in the Paradise part of the Grand Line in the Kuma scenes during Egghead?
The man marked by flame must:
A) know king Neptune in order to take the poneglyph away.
B) know Whitebeard, for two reasons: 1) Fish-men island was under his protection. 2) it's possible that the poneglyph was taken by Whitebeard himself and given to the man marked by flame.
or he just stole it which is also possible.
RIP your jacket, never mess with the Goda.
Edit: Also btw isnt it "the man with the burn scar" in the official translation, not marked by flames?
Heyyy Tekking love your videos here !
Saul was freezer burnt 😂
I’ve never been this early to a Tekking video. I feel blessed
Here's a few facts I think debunk Dragon
1) He is currently in Paradise at the Kamabaka Kingdom.
His name is Burnscar/Firescar. The man marked by flames is a creative liberty made by TCB and isn’t even close to the real translation.
I think enough people have said their issues with it being dragon so I'll say at least that my theory is that whoever this ends up being, they'll be the long-awaited pirate with an Eyepatch we've been waiting for.
Yup. Just a new character with a cool aesthetic.
Tekking just described Panda Man as Popo from DBZA and I can't unhear that voice coming from Panda Man now. "Welcome to LaughTale maggots"
Haven't listened to the video yet, but I hope he mentions Loki.
