How convenient the Water Company can blame a farmer.
Oh yeah
Well anything to deflect it from them
& if they can politicalise it in any way they get brownie points
Remember they only want the big boys running the farms! Soon they will tell us that only responsible organisations can carry out farming!
Was just going to say that
@@buzby303Get Brownie points 😂
Well it probably was them, this organism doesn't fall out of the sky
Devon pays the most for its water and this happens. Very convenient to blame a farmer when the government want to get rid of farming, very odd situation something doesn’t smell right.
And most for it's energy standing charges, extortion.
Stop paying the share holders billions in profit and put it back into the system and repairs upgrades
The only way to do that is to renationalise the water industry.
Dr David Lloyd and the word “expert” should not be in the same sentence after having to listen to his nonsense regarding Covid.
Yes, he was a psychopath on Covid. He said restrictions should be permanent.
Agreed.
Boom 👍
He was running around like a headless chicken over Covid. Seems awfully relaxed about this parasite which sounds a lot worse.
Oh this jab pushing quack again.
Nothing to do with cows and everything to do with incompetence.
Its all a bit fishy when at the same time Lake Windermere was contaminated and United Utilities admitted they were responsible?
If all else fails blame the poor cows
SPOT ON!!
especially thatcher, the cow that sold the uk....
Yep, but the shareholders are happy, so all's well.
yes so true, parasites are the problem, the companies that own our water...
So which MP is a shareholder of 'Courtesy Water'?

There's a rare treatment that only the elite can get?
Only 69 deaths...( similar outbreak in another country). Well, never mind then
Blaming manure as if it was a malicious act by the cows rather than the water company putting profit over maintaining infrastructure and providing the service they've got the monopoly on.
The water is taken from the reservoir, treated then piped off to homes, the contamination happened after treatment which is why they're blaming the air valve and the farmer even though it's the water companies duty to maintain the system.
Why is gbnews giving them a free pass? Is it because the spotlight would shine on regulations removed by the tories as part of their brexit purge that has allowed an increase in profiteering
Surprised the doctor didn't mention that there's powdered drinks which are designed to help the body rehydrate, something thats pretty important after extreme diarrhoea and vomitting
There is a company in the UK that has been given the green light to use Graphene Oxide in the treatment of our waste water, the normal process of waste water in many cases is released after processing, into drinking water, and our water courses, the sea, it is known to be toxic for biologicals, has this process been used in Devon? the company is registered with companies house, anyone know more??
This was an episode in Doc Martin
Been distilling my water for about 4 years. Best thing I've ever purchased. Bought a distiller on Amazon. Love the taste of clean water.
Same love seeing the gunk and limescale in the bottom of the distiller and think I’m loving the fact it’s not in my body lol 😜
Does it take out the chemicals, Flouride, etc?
@@thedarkdefender7780 Yes.
@@thedarkdefender7780 yes. It has a charcoal filter on the spout as well.
People drink shit water every day, literally, I've built a sewage works
Loads of people have had this over the last month or more, don't let anybody suggest that it is limited to a few tens of cases.
I don't even brush my teeth with tap water. Our biggest organ is our skin..
Oh it was just 69 deaths, no worries then!
😱
🚿 that's not a spray tan you see in the mirror. 😅
Let the panic buying begin!
Doesn't take much does it 😂
At least in this case there's a reason to hoard toilet paper.
Lol 👍

A distiller will set people free from this and future mishaps.
I don’t think keeping your mouth shut and showering in it will be ok. Doctor is massively underplaying that big time.
Wauw... let us all hope this will not lead to any decease in management bonus. Perhaps 100 million must be reserved for management's retainment bonus ... this is a difficult time for the company so everything must to be done to keep the company at the earningstrack to secure the return of investment for investors.....
It was lovely to see Doctor Crippin again. Really missed his sensible opinions during the covid season.
Don't open your mouth in the shower 🤮🚿
if only thatcher kept her mouth shut.....
Import third world, become third world.
A racist trope.
The problem with the water in Devon has been caused by immigration? Are you sure?
The UK was the birth of modern Public Health. It led the world in this field for many years. It started in the 1850's when it as discovered in North London that water could transmit desease. Before that it was thought that they were transmitted by smell. At that time the life expectancy of a UK citizen was 40 years. Until a few years ago it was 82 years. What caused this advance in longevity ? It was little to do with the NHS. It was Public Health. I am loosely defining that as policies which prevent people getting ill rather than curing them once they get ill. Over that time period many laws and regulations were enacted and enforced that protect us in our interaction with our environment. They include laws on the water we drink, the air we breath, the food we eat, the houses we live in, the places we work, our places of entertainment, and lastly the roads we drive on. Lots of these laws are being eroded or allowed to lapse. I had a career in Public Health for many years. I was working for a Local Authority. I am retired now, but in the 1970's I used to take water samples from public places to be tested and analysed. That all ended when Thatcher's government privatised the Water Companies. Already our life expectancy has been reduced. The problem is the British people voted for this.
Nitazoxanide only known antiparasitic and antiviral cure.
But looking at side effects stomach pain, headache, upset stomach, vomiting, discolored urine, excessive urinating, skin rash, itching, fever, flu syndrome, and others.
Conspiracy is always more attractive than cockup but this time it's simple cockup. An old steel air bleed valve (look for metal covers with AV on them) at a high spot in a water main has broken when a heavy vehicle has gone over it, allowing contaminated surface water to enter the main, downstream of the filtration plant and overwhelming the chlorine in the water. Result: diarrhoea for some consumers, same as in Africa or India. It will take time for the water in the repaired main to test free of the wee beastie that is infecting people.
wouldn't it be logical to use anti parasitic medication with anti biotics
It would depend if there were any known interactions with the meds you are
recommending !!!!
Is this the whole of Devon?
No. Brixham
oo ahh clotted rivers
The issue is the environment is stressed due to massive population increase, water companies lack the funding to do the work needed
How does an increase in population cause cryptosporidiosis to get in the water system? We need to know the truth.
@@JonnyWard-kg4vu our water system is under stress. No money and more people to serve
@@saltnessmonster but you can't explain how that leads to cryptosporidiosis getting into the water system. It's just a guess.
No the water companies don’t lack the funds.
In fact if you look at their profits and dividend payments they’ve extracted hundreds of billions of pounds without even lifting a finger
@@chrisspencer6502 my statement is true. They lack funds because they were looted, lots of water storage land sold of to housing. But adding millions more mouths to water and bodies to wash plus more waste water onto a system that has been looted by foreign pension investments is why.m
Cryptosporidium??
This doctor is spectacularly unimpressive. 69 deaths wafted away as nothing too terrible.
Did devon vote for this ?
Handy tip # 47 .... You can tell if you have ingested cow ( DUNG 💩 ) ... because ! your runny POO will STENCH like cow slurry in a farmyard ... and ... you will get ( ring sting ? ) that is worse than from a hot curry , for about a week .... ( posted by a victim that lived in Devon UK for 4 years ) GR8 for your gut microbiome .. Ha - Ha ( but true ! ) ..... DAVE™🛑
And the water company still makes a profit.
I live in Brixham. It’s a pain, but we are all just getting on with it. Lots of bottled water being supplied, tap water being boiled, and caution being exercised. We’re surrounded by farmland, these things happen, calm down!
These things don't happen in a modern society where you pay for the utilities to be properly managed. £20 billion has been siphoned off from the water companies and paid out in dividends to shareholders. Customers are now drinking diluted cow pats and swimming in turds in our rivers and coastline as the water infrastructure crumbles. Why should people be calm about this? It's a scandal.
Where in the south west?
Am I safe in Plymouth?

A simple ph tester water tester kit from the pet fish isle will help easiky test The Water & God Bless The UK 🇬🇧 & Everyone Who Loves Jesus Christ Who Wants to Save ❤
A ph test will only tell you the acidity of the water. It won't show the presence of cryptosporidiosis.
@@JonnyWard-kg4vu ya an activated carbon water cleaner also is best & also cheap & that cleans alot also & boiling water helps for 20mins, but there is always ways of cleaning water most of the time & Hope There is A Way & God Bless
Nothing fails quite like religion.
You can get a TDS meter to measure the total disolved solids but distilling is best.
If you can get your Jesus to turn the water into wine we could have an answer !
Awe the frackin is finally having its negative effect. Y'all can thank yer government for that. They will never be affected because they dont frack in their living area's. Do they?
Just buy a Brita water filter jug
Unfortunately, those water filters are not all they are cracked up to be.
A water filter won't help, you'll need a good quality water PURIFIER.
