I'm looking forward to this course. I plan on reading the Bible all the way through in 2025 (for educational and literary purposes) and this will be a great course to do alongside my study of the NRSV.
i was going to begin reading the kjv bible since i am beginning to read through the list you provided in your 1983 harvard reading list video. this really has come at the perfect time. fortunately, i found your channel months before starting my undergrad english degree this september so having that series of lectures to watch on here gave me a great foundation and i wanted to say thank you! i am hoping to re-experience those lectures alongside now reading the texts and seeing that you are now preparing a lecture series on the bible in relation to poetry is super exciting. you've really inspired me to get back into literature for love of the knowledge it can provide. again, thank you for all that you do :)
Thank you. I'm looking forward both to the course and to the book written with the Rev. Bailey. And since it's Christmas a shout out and bell chime to George Bailey, because as I'm sure you agree: It is a wonderful life.
Great timing! I've been meaning to get more serious about poetry as well as to revive my project of reading the Bible. I fell off because as an atheist I'm really struggling with the content 😅 but would love to better appreciate the historical and literary influence and legacy of the Bible.
Hey! I love your work! I've been following you for quite a while! I'm waiting for this course with quiet desperation! I'm a sociology student at college. But doing literature would do me good for both personal and professional reasons! I just wanted to know if this course is paid, and on some other platform or would I find access for free, on youtube?
I’m not interested in religion but it definitely sounds interesting how the Bible influenced some great poets. Writers. William Blake and John Milton are fascinating.
This seems like a really interesting course! I’m currently working on a masters degree in theology but I’ve also fallen in love with poetry and English literature. I’ll definitely be watching the videos you put out for this course! Out of curiosity, if you don’t mind sharing, where did you go to seminary at? Thanks for all your work, Adam.
Hi! Is there any middle options here... between seeing shorter videos and zoom lessons? If I sign up for patreon as a student, will I have access to filmed zoom classes that already finished? I don't like interacting with people, honesty. And I love your content.
Hi ! I second this question, I would love to participate in the course but I am afraid of potential times where I could not attend live, so I was wondering if the videos of the courses would be available on replay. Looking forward to learn with you and thanks for the quality content!
Fair! And yes. You can always keep your camera off if you want to still attend live. Some others are more comfortable listening, and they're just as welcome!

This is awesome; the two of the things I liked to get into now in one place. I'm looking forward to it!

8:24 Excited to hear about such a book! Do you know when it may be available?
Also, will the lecture with Rev. Bailey also be available on UA-cam?
I think I have to do this course
Anyone else notice the upgrade from Adam Walker to Dr. Adam Walker?

The two subjects go well together! I was enrolled in a Roman Catholic seminary outside of Boston.

This looks wonderful! How long are your courses available on Patreon? I'm hoping to be able to join around mid-spring.
It will last from January to April!
Please focus on the old testament. I am looking forward to finding out how you can get poetry out of a vengeful God
How do I join this course?
