I made one like that years ago and just hung 3 pieces of old carpet from the top of the box so it could swing back and absorb some impact ! Also all the inner surfaces of the box had carpet glued in place! NOTE. It was good heavy carpet, not the cheap foam backed variety!! I liked the design of yours with the angled back plate! Very good thanks!!
Nice work, better than anything I've seen for sale for indoor use. One recommendation I could make is that just about the best and quietest lining for pellet traps is lead flashing, the stuff roofers use. It's completely silent, lasts for ages and you can just add it to your scrap pile when it falls to bits.
I like it, its way better than the tiny metal one I have :) and as for the metal insert I don't know what angle it sits at, but If memory serves, from a penetration perspective metal plate at a 30% angle doubles in thickness, hence why they started angling the armour on tanks :)
Pretty interesting project, Tomasz! 😃 I need to get one of those air toys... But I don't even know from where! 😂 Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
@@CasualDIY Oh, I bet! 😬 And I'm probably going to need to buy from China... Because here in Brazil it's highly regulated, it's a nightmare. And buying from the US is unreal, because of the shipping costs. 😬
@@MCsCreations Fortunately in Poland air guns are widely available and not so regulated. But I'm sorted for now with my air gun that I got from my dad that he got from his dad. Its like over 40 years old lol but it still works 💪
Very Nice Sir. Do you have some dimensions to pass along (cut list)? Plus I plan on using a clipboard for the front and Duct Seal compound in back to absorb pellets and bb's
I like this Tomasz it's unusual, indoor firing range. Did the pellets actually hit the metal back or did the towel stop them. Reusable pellets, even better. I want one it looks like fun. Tony
To anyone building this for higher power airsoft replica usage: Remember that you have to clean this also. A bunched up towel is a surefire way to get BB-s hit eachother. And this could be okay for
Got the same thing mate. I went trough few options and haven't found anything outstanding that j would be able to recommend. You can get decent results with the dedicated countersink bit (without drill bit) but you have to be careful when using then as it's easy to go too deep with them.
The bunched up towel is a good BB catcher, but it ruins it quite fast, i know from experience 🤣🤣🤣 I'd have a build like this in mind, but I'd personally use a lot of mop heads hanging from the top inside of the box. And then maybe angle the floor a bit so you're able to collect and recycle the BB-s (I wouldn't personally shoot those again but to each his own). Slanted steel backing is a good idea to stop any BBs that still have that last bit of kinetic energy. That frame for the target is a great idea, which I also had in mind, the handle is a touch of genious 🤣🤣🤣

It’s been many years since I fired an air pistol and this brings back some good memories. Thanks for sharing such an interesting project 👍😎🇦🇺
Thanks John. Hehe its Saturday morning sorted for me and my dad 🤣

Good tip, thank you

Wow didn't know that, interesting info
This is a great project! Thanks for uploading, its given me ideas to make one but slightly bigger.
Thank you for watching 👍
Re-use the pellets? Are you feeling alright or don't you give a damn
about the right way to handle your gun? 😎

Thanks, oh there is wide range of those toys, not easy to pick the right one tho 🤔

@@CasualDIYcan I buy one of these you made from you? I need one asap

Thank you. The over size of the box is as follows 28.7cm wide, 36.8cm deep, 35cm high.
I would need at least 4 8 x4 sheets of ply as a funnel to get my pellets into that box😂👌👍
🤣🤣👍👍

Mine were stopped by the towel. But my air gun is very weak. And yest its a lot of fun 😁

hi a great job ,some kind of isolation putty inside,on the back plate can absorb the impact of the pellets en reduce a lot the sound.
I was trying it without the towel inside and the rubber I've put inside does exactly that. No noise and stops the pellets undamaged 👍
Great stuff.
What kind of depth stop do you have on the drill bit?
Thanks. It's just a countersink with a drill bit, not very good at that as well 🤣
Very nice work thanks for sharing
Thank you for watching
where is the testing video? it would be very great to have testing.
I did a small test at the end of the video. I was shooting from 6m away so not a massive distance
Tomasz - any recommendation on the countersinking drill bit? Whatever I will buy is just off-centre and doesn't produce neat "funnels"..

Thank you! Cheers!
Well done sir! Even if it is done in metric.😇😇

Use a rubbermaid trash can filled with rubber mulch.
The mulch is made from used tires and never wears out.
You're welcome!
For F sake never re-use a pellet!
oh, wonder if i can make one of these with Boris johnson's face on the front? :P
🤣 whatever rocks your boat mate 😁👍
