Wow, I thought I always watched to the end, yet I missed Blue. Sorry. I'm watching this now. I like the green leaves. ❤🎉

Hi Martha, I watch until the end.😊 love how this piece is shaping up, especially the use of ribbon and thread on your big yellow flower. I don’t do spiders either but my arachnophobia is calming a little as I age.

Thank you sew much Leanne. 😊
I don’t think spiders will ever be ok with me or me them!! 😳. I try not to over react as much but I still get all freaked out!

Looking good Martha and laughing at your fly by the. Seat of your pants. I couldn’t stay listening for the creepy crawly bit as I don’t do well with hearing about those 🫣 hope it all turned out ok! Cheers, Christine

Thanks for the detailed description for placement of flowers and leaves .I too would have jumped in and went to the next without having depth perceptions. I do buy in bulk for the threads.

Just a thought. Maybe make the leaves that seem to be in the back using a darker variegated color since in nature they would be darker in the shadows. Can you used different colored threads on your needle instead of all one color while stitching the leaves?
I have no suggestion for your next project since I was thinking maybe velcro. Can't wait to see what you have in mind.

Paula, that’s a really good point about the leaves. Unfortunately, I’ve been stitching away and don’t realize that’s how nature really would be. I’m not very good at thinking that way. I like to fly by the seat of my pants and make things wild and colorful lol. Thank you for that thought and I will keep it in mind for future pieces, because it is brilliant.
I think I’ve found a solution. Stay tuned!!!

I'm not sure if you have tried this but I like to take variegated floss and separate the threads and turn one strand in the opposite direction to vary the colors. Also, I will chose a few solid strands and and thread them all together and stitch which works well. I also will cut the variegated floss lay them side by side and thread one needle with the dark end first and another with the lighter end first. Oh my goodness I had to smile at the Spider story. I don't much mind spiders but I do the spiderweb in the face dance every time I walk out my front door. Here in Florida we have those palmetto bugs and those I have to hunt down and toss outside when I see one, those make my skin crawl. You piece is looking good. On Wednesday's I make it a point to watch all of the videos posted, The Roxy Girls, Marion's World, K3n and if you have one posted on a Wednesday you can be sure I will watch it. This is my way to wind down in the evenings and usually I will stitch and watch. Om any given day If I can't watch a video in full I will still let it play to the end so it helps with the algorithms, then I will rewatch.

The thread ideas are great, thanks for sharing.
Yuck to the Florida bugs. I just saw a bunch of articles posted about a new to the US flying venomous spider - and it’s in DC (70 miles up the road!!!). Ugh.
Thanks for letting videos run to the end. It really does help the YT algorithm.
Thanks for watching and commenting and sharing your tips.

My mum told me before varigated thread became a thing they used to use a strand of one colour and added another colour with it to get the varigated look. Top and tail the two threads so it doesnt slip and slide ending up with two different thread lengths when stitching.

Great tip. I’ve many times used two or three different color threads to get the look I want, both in stitching and weaving.
      Thanks for watching

In my defense…I’m new to your channel and I’m an old lady. So a lot of times I’ll comment on a video during the video as that way I don’t forget at the end. On the video I commented on you have replied to everyone but me. It’s unfortunate that I felt as if I was being scolded by the creator as I thought I was doing something good for your channel…✌️

Oh no! Sometimes the comments don’t show up in my notifications. Sometimes they only show up in UA-cam Studio (for creators). Sometimes I’m out and about and I hit a thumbs up but forget to go back and comment.
Please don’t feel like that. I wouldn’t ignore you on purpose. I’m grateful for ALL of my commenters and watchers and subscribers. 🤗❤️
I’ll see if I can find the video but if you could comment again it would help me.
Thank you for letting me know.
