I'm a fan of having both options in terms of color and how I provide power. It allows for customizability over different applications and preferences, and can even be exchanged in different vehicles. I didn't know that there was the option of having a dim amber, but still a white DRL. That's a huge plus for me
You should remind people to have their lights aligned so they don’t BLIND on coming traffic. It doesn’t matter how bright your lights are if you’re blinded by someone else coming towards you.
I have 7 sets of these on my cars (brakes, signals, reverse, etc) and while expensive, they're incredibly bright. I've only had a few failures, and it's actually from the connector itself, not the bulb, but they've always shipped out a new set whenever necessary under warranty, which is about 3 years!
VLEDs just keeps stepping it up. These things are awesome. They’re so bright! It’s great to see that companies are recognizing that there’s a market for stuff like this.
I had VLEDs a long time ago in a GMC Yukon. I live up in WI where we use salt on the roads in winter. Don't buy these if you intend to drive in the winter where there is salt without major modifications. The drivers, bulbs and automotive plug harnesses will not last a winter unless you completely cover them. I changed out all the brake lights and turn signals. I had to replace all of them within 9 months of owning them. The other part I wasn't fond of, the lens on the bulbs will pop off too. Hopefully they are using better glue now but it was a disappointment when I noticed the lens rolling around in one of my housing.
That would also be great for the 98-02 Lincoln Town Car headlights, the lights closest to the grille are "projector" looking and those are meant as driving lights and turn signals...Having these set up as bright DRL's and turn signals that dim when brights are turned on would be PERFECT
I've been B.S.ing around starting my hid retrofit. I have some of the cheap switchbacks and they work well but I can only imagine what these would do. Good ish!!
I'm glad I have the ability to design and build the circuits if needed, that being said having it all done is very nice and I have to believe more rugged.
@@flyryde my man! Thank you. You’ve inspired me to get into custom headlights. For now a hobby. But quickly becoming a passion. Those circuit boards scare the shit out me right now lol
That's very expensive but if you think about it. You need a well designed switchback housing to power these white LEDs so they don't burn out in 2 months. I think it's worth the price.
How can I contact you personally, or a location? Thank you. Bro your description status is decent I dig it alot. I have a few whips I'd like to ask info about for head/taillights. Your the man to talk to. Keep up the great work..🔥🔥💯
I watched the video. A couple of things I thought of was the screws that can be adjusted to different positions. I feel that over time, vibration will back them out unless some thread lock is used to keep them in place. Also, if you do not use the smaller wire to connect to the low beams to reduce the amount of light from the LED, how much glare is that going to produce to oncoming drivers? I do like the quick connects for the inline load resistor and the different bulb type connectors.
@@flyryde i currently have a sequential module installed and big LED bulbs. everything works, but i can't adjust the sequence speed and intensity of the light during the day when the sun is on the tail lights isn't as good as they are at night. my lenses are frosted for that glow.
here is the issue with that....in some countried...like mine that is illegal...because signals need to be certain colors...because during the day at max brightness of the sun its alot hard very hard actually to see white light than it is amber.
I have a 2011 Mitsubishi Outlander with the same headlights as the one you used as demo. The indicator bulb only has one fillement. My questions are how do I connect the drl to my low beam keeping in mind that here in Australia the drl can not be lit (on) when the high or low beams are activated. How do I wire the drl into the low beam to make that happen. Secondly how much will it cost me in Australian dollars to buy the full kit for my car? Thirdly, does the kit come with easy to comprehend instructions that show the use of the options for the kit as you described? Would also like to know if there are agents in Australia who sell the kits. A lot to ask I know but I hope you can help. Take care. Bill
Just ran into a problem where one of my JDM DC2 yellow fog lens is broken and the other not. Now I’m the position to break the other yellow lease out to match and run yellow bulbs.
I have 2009 Honda CR-V that has a dim 3rd brake light. It is a #7443 bulb. I purchased a bright LED replacement, but it’s not any brighter, any suggestions? Thanks,…Jim
I purchased those bulbs, which lasted a year then the white DLR on both failed. Now they are just glorified LED amber turn signal bulbs. Not worth it if you ask me. Not to mention the ballast failed twice before but were still within warranty so those got replaced. Poor quality, although nice concept.
Is there a way to make these fit a t10/t15 housing? I have a 2010 QX56, and I've been trying to find a good way to convert the big parking light on top to a DRL, and this seems like an easy solution that doesn't require me to make a custom wiring harness.
So i have a question... I bought a pair of Vland Evo headlights... Which have sequential turn signals Dim and bright & Neon DRL So is it possible to use these bulbs as my Hi and Lo beam... Instead of the demon eye RGB light so, when i indicate it will switch off the Hi/Lo and turn into a signal light... If that is possible, could you show how to connect such a setup? Because im lost with all the wiring... The effect i want is the New Audi 2022 models whereas the hi/lo beam switches to indicator lights and so the only lights you see is the indicators and DRL(DayTimeRunningLights).
I'm not agree with the bright led side blinker signal . It will be very annoying for the other drivers to stay 2 - 3 minutes at signal light with that bright light flashing in ther eyes. Don't get me wrong, I love led lights and I change al my lights on my car with led lights except the blinker lights because I care about the other drivers.
there are several problems with this, first of all, it is not allowed, and second of all, it blinds the oncoming motorist. so much for that. it's a waste of money.
