- Ferrari 458 Spider Racing Wheel, unboxing 2nd New one.
I purchased one at xmas 2018, A month of having it , it started to screw up ,turning left. If you use inside view , you can see when you turn right a little it glitches and that causes you to turn left off the road. So Thrustmaster sent me a New one. Thank you very much Thrustmaster. I hope this one works.

Hi guys, the issue with these wheels is the crap plastic potentiometer which deals with the rotation of the wheel. These are a nightmare for going wrong so I replaced it with a more sturdy metal one. I haven’t had a problem with it in years. Very simple to replace as long as you get the right part for it.
May I add also that I play fh4 nearly everyday. So the steering wheel gets used regularly with no hiccups.

ok so this is the LEAST helpful video ever, no explanation on how to fix it otherwise, just you explaining that there is something wrong with your wheel, contacting thrust master, and getting a new one

well thought if others were having same problem, that this video would help them do what I did ? Just emailed customer support , and they told me what to do to get a new one ?
Nice move made by Thrustmaster they truly care about their customers .I had the same problem but with the left turn (it wont turn in most of racing games) .but they sent me just the steering wheel ; and i personally endorsed their customer service where I possibly can ;) . Yes Thank you Thrustmaster !!

That steering wheel glitch is in the "POT"...( a set of contacts in a small square box, a rotary switch basically) that is driven off the steering wheel shaft...same issues here. The contacts are worn, I've just opened it up. Although they sent you another replacement...how long before you have the same issues. I'm off to see if I can get a better replacement, may need to retro fit another pot to the wheel. Other than that, its a great wheel. Oh, lubricate the steering wheel spigot and bush as I noted that mine was dry...plastic will wear and pick up if not lubricated.

I swear to you now in 2019 they come calibrated now and it really is nicer its tighter now it actually feels like there is pull when it's on you can feel it kind scrolling with you you can def feel it when it's on even tho no force feedback and the wheel doesnt go off to the right or left anymore it's perfectly straight in the middle the gas you can now level it so you can push it to 25 and it goes to 25 doesn just jump to 100 everything just seems really accurate now no latency or lag either it's nice didnt expect it to feel or work this good I'm def getting the tmx pro next tho very soon over the next couple of months this is just to practice and warm up on haha

had the same problem. good wheel when it works but faulty. i replaced it with the thrustmaster tmx which has lasted 2 years and still going!

yes its just has two levers on bottom that you adjust to tighten up

HI Daniel, it works on everything for me. You can use any PC compatible wheel I don't have any Microsoft games installed only Snowrunner, MotoGP and Ride 4 etc. I am using the x360ce utility that is free and can be found online. Sorry for delay😊
