I've built a couple of these. The first one was strait like yours, works great for open lots. I built another one that has a 1" taper into the middle for roadways. The flat one tends to push all the material to the outside, not good on roads. The tapered one pulls all the material to the center. Also built one with 1"long teeth on it for ripping dead weed out. All work great, thanks for showing.

Nice - But the addition of a double hinged float exactly the same size as the front. Makes it effective on very rough grading.

The angle iron is 3/16" thick in 4' and 6' lengths but what is the length you used on the angle itself? 1 1/2", 2", 3" ?

3 inch is what I used and I bet 2 inch would work also but would be lighter

I sure wish you could try it out on a grassed area where you need to fill in low spots. I’m wondering if it’s wide enough. Also I note you have angle iron turned down. I saw another one here on UA-cam almost identical except they turned the angle up so the flat surface was on the bottom. They were using it on a dirt surface. What are your thoughts on the grass sod application?

Imo turning the angle iron with the flat side down would help eliminate the choppiness that is causing the small ripples left behind in the video. Alternatively setting some or all of the bars at alternating slight angles would also help.

Haha the mower decks all bent and worn out so it's always partially engaged and I've never got around to rebuilding it lol

Are they all 3the same depth?I see some where they make the front and back a bit lower than the middle

yes, they are all the same depth. I've never tried it another way because this has worked great for me. If you do, try it another way please comment back and let me know how it works out for you.

Sorry but that didn’t work well at all. You can’t see the ripples it left?
