Awesome video mate cheers for taking the time to upload, i welded some short pieces of rebar on mine so i could put old gym weights on there ( gravel driveway ) works a treat. my cutting edge is a little lower because of the driveway and im going to make another smaller one like yours for the lawn area, cheers again for the video, Perth Western Australia
This is true. But it is easier on the mower when the front lifts. I.e. when I do top dressing or turf underlay when the bars get too full and becomes heavy for the mower the front lifts and let's some material out thus taking the strain off the mower. I'll have to make a video about it.
Just what I'm looking for, need to speed the sand into all the nooks and crannies in the yard and this will do it! Nice job, but careful welding the galvanized material, creates zinc oxide fumes that are very toxic. Being in the open in your shop helps but a respirator is safer!

Add that bit of chain back on as a link between your mower and tow point. The front is lifting up because of the angle to the mower.

You need some weight on it to make it work better.
Your right. Tho I did make it to spread sand on a lawn. So I didn't want it too heavy to damage the grass.

So Right :)
the cutting edges need to be a little lower than the skis
👍👍👍
Excellent!
Make sure its not rigid... There needs to be movement and a bit of flex. Remember that your taking from the high and distributing it into the valleys.
What are the dimensions?

I would make sure that platform on the back of the machine is not starving the engine of cool air.
Drag around a hog panel, it works a heck of a lot better! and you don't have to build it to begin with.
lol,cuz we all have hog panels laying around.i built my drag from scrap metal i DID have laying around.
