Possibly the worlds most awkward reaction ever... So of course I had to share it with you! This reaction was filmed back in November of 2021, just after I started my other channel (In Bed With Movies). I'm just trying to transfer the older songs over here to keep things tidy :) x
the reason you got the charging horses vibe is because the guitar rythum technique they used is called a gallop it's also something they're known for. the song is also based on a very famous poem of the same name by the poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge from 1798. hope this helps, bye the way i thiught you were really cute not awkward.
Yeah, this was pretty awesome live.... and now I know why his name is Dickenson!!! If I wore spandex, it would look like I was smuggling an olive, LOL!!!
Ok. I am instantly addicted to your channel. My 1st was watching you react to Simple Man and the wonderful, heart felt, honest emotion you shared with us all was just icing on the cake!! This song also hits men in the heart as many of us (me included) have had these said to us by our mothers or granodmothers and it hits us in the heart and we relect back and the world stops when that song plays. Anyhow, great choice playing this epic masterpiece. Great music and reactions from a truly beatiful girl is a welcome change and your gorgeus when you cry by the way (a good thing!!) You know your killing us guys (another good thing!!) Keep bringing us all the great music an honest and emotional reactions. A true pleasure watching your channel!!! Now off to view more of your videos. Saw your Stairway To Heaven reaction before this one (awesome). From the USA....... Benny
I do love some Maiden. They are genius writers who do so so much off the stage. But I would suggest that where possible, listen to Iron Maidens live performances. Those are a whole new level of WOW! Also this song had my English teachers jaw smashing in to the floor. We did the Rime of the ancient mariner when we studied poetry. When I started quoting it, along with the various meanings & references throughout it (such as the historical meaning that the Albatross has in maritime myth). He was dumbfounded.
Nice reaction! A really good song, and possibly the best 2 minutes in heavy metal ever. Starting with Bruce's scream and all the build up that follows! 🤘🔥🔥🤘
1:11 Oh, just wait until you hear The Trooper. As for this song, I absolutely love it. I'm a major history/literature nerd and this sates my desire just enough. I so wish I could've had Bruce as a professor of History, perhaps I would have finished my degree instead of goofing off and dropping out! :P Can't wait for the rest of the video! Glad I found your channel too. :)
I love watching your pensive facial expressions. Of course, Iron Maiden makes everyone think - and their talent is undeniable, the music is classically structured on purpose.
I always said this was the best heavy metal song ever. A 13 minute journey through Death and Life in Death. I'm sure there are many more that have come and gone, but this one just has that Coleridge goodness.
Hi Jess ! Wow, a true Iron Maiden classic, based on the poem by Samuel Taylor Coleridge ! What a great story, the band is telling here... however, I prefer the live version from their "Live after death" album. Love this band... and your reaction as well... it was really wonderful to watch this video. Iron Maiden have many other classic songs you could react to : Number of the beast, Hallowed be thy name, Run to the hills... the list could go on and on.... but for now, I'm already curious about your next Aurora reaction (Through the eyes of a child live at Nidarosdomen)... Best wishes from Germany : Gerry
Heavy metal tends to have a lot of evocative imagery. Iron Maiden is a staple of the genre, but I mainly know them for their incredible album art 😅 For a band with more crazy guitar licks - Dragonforce. 'Through The Fire And The Flames' is probably their most well known track.
Awkward reaction? I don't know. Fun though. Even the bear got into it! Iron Maiden was the first band I ever became a huge fan of, and (cough cough) years later, they're still one of my favorites. When I bought Powerslave, I think I was 12, I remember finding this (the last track on the album) to be daunting. I wasn't used to longer songs. The song before it was over 7 minutes long which already was long to me at the time. This was almost double. The quieter part that felt like it went on forever, it turned out it was supposed to feel that way. The creaking ship, stuck at sea as crewmen drop off. It's almost hypnotizing. I love the dueling guitar solos that come after the long scream and before the last singing section. 12:53 The point you made here about them layering ideas together and making it work, reminds me of another song of theirs called "Alexander the Great". Like 'Mariner', it was the last track from the album, and like most Maiden songs, it tells a story. They liked to end some of their albums with epics. It's not quite as long as this one, but it still takes you on a trip.
Check out Maiden's Aces High official video... these guys are very educational with voth history as well as fabled tales that have been around for centuries plus they rock musically...
@@inbedwithmusic2130 they have been a very popular band, for a very long time. Great songwriting, musicianship, and vocals all across the board. I look forward to watching your future reactions to Iron Maiden and other rock acts. Plus, you got a new subscriber.🤘
One of my favorites from the band that pretty much introduced heavy metal to the world in 1980. If I may recommend a few more maiden miracles: Revelations, hallowed be thy name, phantom of the opera, aces high, flight of Icarus, dance of death just to name a few..enjoy in bed with music. ✌😁
Again? You already uploaded this. AND by uploading I mean stolen this content from Iron Maiden.... So without furtheer due the laziest UA-camr award goes to.....

Always do the live version UP THE IRONS!!!!!!!!!!!
The “galloping” rhythm is sort of an Iron Maiden trademark..
Steve Harris on bass has perfected the "gallop" and uses it often. 🤘

Aww Benny, you’re so sweet. Thank you for your comment 💗
In concert during this song at the quiet part everyone is silent! It's one of the best feelings I've ever had!!
Thanks for sharing Ronald. How I’d love to have experienced that live 🥹
They still tour!, you still can 🤘😎🤘

Live would be incredible!
Lots more Iron Maiden on my list, including all of them.
Aurora is on its way, just running behind. Hopefully this weekend.
@@inbedwithmusic2130 Yes, LIVE is the way, BUT, the Flight 666 live version is MUCH better!!!! Definitely check it out!!!

Don't forget Mother Russia , another story to end an album...
Hey there, perhaps listening along with the lyric's would help. Especially with Iron Maiden, Bruce Dickenson is an epic lyricist
Yeah lots of regrets with this one. Going to do lyric videos for the next Iron Maiden song.
Great reaction thanks ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I like the Dark hair. You have a Metal fan look in this vid. And may I say, a very easy to look at Metal Fan look. 😉

Chugging along on the sea- that’s the “gallop” you here.
Iron Maiden is a religion.
Interesting, thanks for sharing

The kitchen sink song.
Cute lovely Jess 💝💝
Spiros, you are too kind but you’ll give me a big head 😆💗
