The Stihl is still built twice as well inside and untouched stock the mtd saws aren’t all that fast cutting. Locally the one fleet and farm store gets a ton of them back. Sold as a craftsman, Troy built, Remington, cub cadet and others. Very light duty light use saw and more than likely won’t be here in 40 years like the 024.
Some of the versions of there are open port, and really I think it's hard to tell what would last longer this troy-bilt or say a ms250, think that fact that the troy-bilt is not a clam shell it is more easily repaired, and less than half the cost of a ms250
Just shower the house with bar oil love it! Lol
Damn that TB cuts eh!

Troy built runs good.
👍👍
Runs good
If this Troy Bilt saw is anything like Troy Bilt trimmers you may as well just throw it away now and skip all of the headaches.
This thing is built well, but on a side note, I have a 7 year old troy-bilt grass trimmer that's still going strong, just with regular maintenance
lol. 024 still runs after like 30+ years.
The troy-bilt might too, it's built pretty well considering, built alot better than the home owner and farm/ranch stihls and Husqvarna
Sell the Stihl.
