Thanks for filming this route. I took that walk many times with my dad and my sister, back in the eighties. The pedestrian mall along Times Square is a great idea. I hope New York gets back to normal as soon as possible. It's the most active place I've ever been. So alive.
Scaffolding can stay up for 20 years - businesses with scaffolding in place are allowed a business improvement tax break / tax benefit - so the incentive to keep scaffolding in place for as long as possible can be found in the tax laws
@@ActionKid That would be AWESOME! The UWS was where I lived, and when we visit, we always stay at either the Beacon Hotel, or a legal Airbnb if we can book one.
It took me most of the day but I did the entire walk; interesting architecture, comments, views, people and activity along the route. Sad to see so many businesses gone. Thanks for sharing, stay safe!
Actionkid, I really appreciate your smooth long walk videos that leave me with a feeling that I was there witnessing the landscape too. Always take care of your personal safety. Thanks.
I have been having these on in the background all day long as I've been working on a lot of tedious stuff. Thank you for these so much! I love NYC in general and this just continues to confirm it. Also, the narration is great and I learn more from every video!
Thank you SO MUCH for doing a walking video. This is classic AK and will always be my favorite. I can't believe how empty the city is -- I've been around since the 60s and I've never seen it like this.
That guy in Bryant Park was a complete ass. I’m going to miss your live streams. I’ve been a fan of your videos for quite awhile now. I miss living in NYC, and your videos help me feel connected. My wife and I do get to visit often, maybe we’ll be lucky enough to cross paths with you one day. Stay safe man. You provide excellent content, and it has been our collective honor to watch your channel grow and evolve.
Wow, thanks for the memories! I visited NYC in 2016 for the first time and it's actually shocking all those stores that are closed now were open back then. Love the walking tours. Great job!
I really like your videos i've only recently subscribed i like the feeling that i'm walking the streets along with you and that you're actually talking to me
Thanks AK for another great walk and video. Your videos always make me smile, like having a great time with an old friend. Keep the journey alive AK and we will walk with you wherever you go.
That might be the most depressing walk you’ve done. I will be there from Alabama with son and some friends first of June. I’ve been many times. It is so sad to see so many empty retail spaces.
Thank you for the video. I'm watching from Munich, Germany. For people like me who have no money for travelling this is a chance to visit New York by UA-cam 😊👍🏻 And you are the Tourguide 🤗
That route was my favorite, I don't know, 10, 20 years ago when the best stores were there. But I got disappointed when 3 years ago I went there and all of them were lack down, I can imagine right now it's worst. Nice walk and keep up your good work.
Another great video as usual, AK. Every time I watch one of your videos, I feel like I've just taken a mini vacay. I especially like the live stream that you did this past Thursday. I'm from Cali, but have always wanted to visit NYC. It's definitely on my bucket list. Have you ever given any thought to giving paid guided tours?
Hi, thank you for your film, Mr ActionKid. I went to NYC on this season 2007 with my 14 year old daughter, very very impressive. Mainly, we went to Greenwich Village and visited the former CBGB, some shops (T-shirts and antiquarian) and Cormell University. Besides that, we went to Lyndhurst NJ to visit the tomb of Joey Ramone. People were very kind and friendly. I wish I could visit again some day in near future.
Hey ActionKid. Thanks for sharing this video with everyone. Very nice and informative as usual. I didn't realize the epidemic knocked a big hole in the business part of Manhattan. Hopefully the Big Apple will recover soon.
i use to live in times square SRO back in the 90's. the whole block was seedy. then disney took over and voila! the naked cowboy is literally out there all year long.
Hi AK, can you do a walking from BUS Authority to times square, central station and central park? thank you. is was very interesting for tourists that come from BUS.
Your last walk to South Ferry was during and after the Wind Storm where you lost your glasses(?) There was a fallen tree in battery park as well. Fun times! 🤣
0:11-This subway station is a clean as a whistle and then some. 0:29-I like the 'Help Point'; it sounds like a similar concept to the DWA (Designated Waiting Area) in all of the subway stations here in Toronto on the TTC. 6:07-How _does_ this guy get away with doing this while the police are a few feet away from him? Looking at Times Square, I got to say, we need more billboards down the length of Yonge Street going north from Yonge and Dundas up to Yonge & Gerrard, as in the past.
You should do a full statue tour of New York City. I don’t mean the Statue of Liberty. Like the real statues. Like balto in Central Park or the alice in wonderland one or the two you passed in Times Square. Balto I know was the lead dog on the sled team to run lifesaving serums to children with Diphtheria in Alaska in 1925. The route became the Iditarod sled dog race course every year. The stuffed remains of the great dog are in Cleveland natural history museum. Every statue has a story and you have to find it and understand it.
Many shops are closed and there are few tourists, even for Times Square. Until the vaccination rate reaches 60 percent or more and international travel resumes, it is difficult to revive this once busy metropolis!

Beautiful walk tour around NYC Broadway from Times Square to South Ferry. Charming and vibrant atmosphere. Tnx4sharing fully watched including ads.
You covered all the best of NYC with the exception of the Upper West Side.😁
I do need to visit the Upper West Side more!

Indeed same effect on me. I’m always empress in Times Square and I never get bored in there. Full of life as always specially at nights.
Now they are showing to you the other side of life ! Something Real life ! So wake up and get a life !
Through your video we see that life is a daring adventure.......keep going to travel us!!!!!

Not even close to the time when I walked Broadway in April 2020 and made a video about it!
So sad to see you people ...how blind you are...that is the sad part here !!!
I don’t wait to rewatch this in 10 years
Back in 2001 amost every window of the subway wagons was scratched or vandalized...now they all look so clean...what an evolution in public safety.

Stay there ! And enjoy...
Love the Union Square Market! Great tour! Go west on Houston to the Film Forum theatre. Great movies!
We used to sometimes cut school from I.S 126 and ride back and forth on the ferry in 1989.
Well done! Watching from Toronto, Canada.
Great tour for new comers to NYC.
Thank you so much ActionKid!

The Pulaski Day Parade was always a treat to witness. They held it on the first Sunday of October. It was always very upbeat & entertaining.

I believe that the flat iron building was used in the spiderman movie
this walk was amazing
I can't believe you passed up a Mister Softee!
What video equipment are you using to get the steady recording? Are you holding the camera in your hand or is it on your chest? Gimbal?
Love it..
Thank you
nice walk, thanks AK. do you miss florida yet?
The quality is actually really impressive, even voice audio is good. You are just holding this without additional gear right?

Can any New York locals tell me if international tourists can buy pot from a legal pot shop in New York ❓
Hello! I wish u a nice day ,man. Michael from Egypt
That wasn't the Paramount Hotel. It was the old Paramount Theater 😏
