Imagine [hint, hint] if all the worldwide Christian-Lebanese Refugees and their descendants demonstrated outside embassies and organised a petition/notice/bill to the UN reclaiming their lost land since the 1980s - possibly also as a 2-State Solution - with eternal Right Of Return status, too, and adjoined to Israel as a Protectorate... until their got back their country back on its' feet. It would keep the present Lebanese Govt. and UN busy. Free Free Christian Lebanon.

All this tripe about needed a "diplomatic solution" is utter garbage. Supposedly, when Israel withdrew from southern Lebanon, there was a diplomatic solution, UNIFIL was supposed to keep Hizbollah north of the Litani river. UNIFIL didn't do its job. They constantly harassed Israel, but did nothing to prevent Hizbollah returning to right beside the Israeli border. In fact, since Hizbollah built many of their launch sites right beside UNIFIL, all UNIFIL did was serve as human shields for the terrorists.

Have you heard of a book called, "A Little Piece of Ground" by Elizabeth Laird? My child's class read it together a couple of years ago, as part of their "World of Arabic" topic. As I understand the book is used widely in the UK curriculum? It tells the story of a boy who lives in Ramallah and I expressed my concern to the teacher that it could foster hostility towards Israel in the kids. Now after what happened on October 7th I am especially concerned about the book. Seeing the protests in universities made me think - wow this is the fruit of stories like that being told to western children. Is there a book that could be suggested for children to give them another perspective?
