Did go out on a limb and by both the TTArtisan 27/1.8 for its super small size and the Viltox 27/1.2 for its great optical quality in APS-C. Do wish Sony would do a modern updated pancake lens targeted at 28mm full frame focal length for both APS-C and Full Frame. Take care.
I really wish Sony would build a full size version of this camera. Think A7 size but crop sensor. I think they'd sell the hell outta those. The full frame financial investment is so huge; lots of people would want a pro grade camera that is compatible with the crop sensor lenses that are available for E mount. Kinda like Fuji, except with better autofocus. lol
Love the video, but I disagree with your Prime lens choice. I'd say it'd be better for people to swing either for the Sigma 30mm or 56mm. Why? The 30mm gets close to the nifty fifty framing, and its about $100-200 cheaper. The 23mm is good, but right now at current prices, I'd personally go for the Viltrox 27mm PRO lens (since it comes in at F1.2 instead of the F1.4). If not that 30mm, having the 56mm (which gets 85mm Framing on Full Frame) would get you slightly more range and pairs nicely with the 18-50 Zoom (both have 55mm Filter Threads, so you can do detail shots/portraits, etc with the 56, have a bit of extra range, and still have the Zoom to get you everything closer than that 56mm).

@@kouleeofficial Have them both. Overall I prefer the ergonomics and ease of use of the a7IV. Everything from EVF to external controls are easier to work with. The a7cII has the A/I chip and better stabilization but it also loses the 1/8000 shutter for shooting with f1.4 lenses and has a much lower synch speed for flash and lacks dual card slots. Great video! My primary cameras (besides my iphone) are the RX-100iiv and A7rIV. I started with an a6400 and have always loved that form factor. My primary issues have always been lack of buttons (forcing you to use menus) for fast moving situations and the grip being hard to hold for long times. However this a6700 seems to, in my eyes, solve a lot of the major things I was looking for that would guide me towards something like an A7Cii. If I wasn't already so in love with my a7riv I'd probably seriously be looking at the a6700.
What about Canon R7 which has fewer rolling shutters and Sigma lenses nowadays. R7 is more professional than A6700. Also within this amount of money, anyone can go with the awesome Canon R8 I own. Now, a new 28-70mm F2.8 also filled the lens gap.
Jason, you had me until you showed a bunch of "G" lenses when you said affordable lol. I see your point though 😁. All said, I'm selling my Song 15mm F1.4 G to anyone interested!
Had this camera and lens, absolutely loved this camera and lens. Butttttt I wish it had 2 SD card slots. Haven't had one fail on me, but would really not want to experience the day when it finally does
IMHO The ONLY Reason to buy an 6700 over any similar priced Sony FF is realistically. Higher Pixel Density, 4K 120 FPS, everything else you can get similar performance in the A7c or A7c ii
This came out EXACTLY the time I was looking to get my first camera, mostly for family and travel photography. It was tempting, but ended up settling for an A6100 and getting some better glass. Hoping that in the next year or so I can upgrade, and this a6700 is the top of my list! Although the A6100 is everything I need already at this time! Crazy how good Sony made all of these A6000 series.
Returned mine after a week. Caught a sale on the S5 IIX, a much better camera for an extra $300. The 6700 is too small, even if you have medium sized hands. The IBIS is awful, especially if you are used to Panasonic/Lumix. Only has a 1/4000s shutter and one card slot. In fact, the Canon R7 is a better camera with more pro features than the a6700. Turns out it was not the only camera I ever needed 😃
I have an a6700, but I also have an A74. to tell the truth if the a6700 had two card slots I'd just have two a6700s and would exit the FF market. It's that good.
Have the zv e10 mark I with the 18-50mm sigma …. HORRIBLE!!!!!!! It’s just good on a tripod or gimbal otherwise it’s shiiiiiiiaaaaat… thanks for the extra reminder for IBIS … didn’t know that! Believed Sonys fake promises!
I have a6700. And Sigma 18-50 f2.8, and Sony 70-350 f4.5-6.3 G OSS, and Sony 15 f1.4 G, and Sigma 30 f1.4, and Sigma 56 f1.4. So, what can I say about this... It's a great hybrid camera, but it's aps-c. When you have all that stuff you start to think about buing a FF camera, because of noise at high ISO. But FF analog is a7s III, and taking into account the lenses FF set becomes much more expensive, times expensive...
How is Sony A6700 better than Fuji H2s? I'm not trolling, just curious as I don't see anything that camera can do better than H2s, besides lower price and witchcraft-like autofocus? The price of Fuji is about €1000 more, but that camera is literrally A1/R1/Z9 in APS-C package.
As a beginner, I want to buy my first camera and only for photography, not videography. I don't know which one to choose between the 3 canon R8, a6700, and nikon z5. I would be grateful if someone could help me
Yet another Sony youtuber who suddenly, this week, remind us that A6700 exists. Interesting coincidence. Like Sony throws some money for yt promotion...
I can't bring myself to buy an a6700.. I already have two full frame Sony's and an a6000. I want to upgrade the 6000 but I cant justify spending that much to upgrade my small walk around camera. Well, can't justify to my wife lol
Hey dude, have you or any subscribers here ever had problems playing Sony files on iPhones? None of the codecs will play on my iPhone from my zve1. They won’t transfer from the app, they will play on my MacBook Air m1 but not to the phone atall

NOT quite! For video you cannot do 60FPS on the A7CII without a 1.5x crop! So what is the point?
This came out EXACTLY the time I was looking to get my first camera, mostly for family and travel photography. It was tempting, but ended up settling for an A6100 and getting some better glass.
Hoping that in the next year or so I can upgrade, and this a6700 is the top of my list! Although the A6100 is everything I need already at this time! Crazy how good Sony made all of these A6000 series.
The a6100 is still great! I am planning on making a budget video and the a6100 is included!
@@JasonVong Amazing! Looking forward to it!
I've got this camera, after owning a lot of cameras and not really knowing how to use them - this has been the best one by a mile! 😂
It the a6400 a good one with the sigma 18-50mm f2.8? Its without stabilisation is this a problem?
I'm still with the a6300 paired with the sigma 18-50 2.8
perfect timing im 2 weeks away from owning this been putting extra hours at work just for this dream camera 🙌
Its a fashion now to have an EDC camera with you wherever you go and the only camera you need is the latest and greatest of that year.
Buy one good camera and use it for 10 years. It’s not that complicated.
I bought it because of you and ditched my fuji x-t30ii, best choice i've ever made, the grip is just (chef kiss)
Overheating is real, keep that in mind! I own one and I don't trust it. Excellent camera though, apart of the overheating thing.
Iddkkkkk. That Panasonic S5llX is prettiiiii lovely, ma boi!!
If I ditched canon for APSC Sony, I would pair the 6700 with 2 primes from Sigma , 16mmf1.4, and 56mm f1.4
if only they had telephoto zoom and super telephoto zoom options, something similar to 70-200 with constant 2.8
That’s not a camera for photographers. All about video.
Well, can't justify to my wife lol
why this not a A7CII? Full frame every time!
Hey dude, have you or any subscribers here ever had problems playing Sony files on iPhones? None of the codecs will play on my iPhone from my zve1. They won’t transfer from the app, they will play on my MacBook Air m1 but not to the phone atall
Today I get overheat in around 30 min, 4k 24p recording in my office so I don't know what is going on.
I get this camera couple days ago and I start to thinking about give it back and buy FX30 instead ..
What sony series shall I get? ATM I have a canon m50 MK1.
Over heated at 60fps 25 min recording time. Maybe it's enough.
I prefer Sony A7III instead of A6700.. cheaper and full frame. I have had them both.
how about RX100VA?
stick with a6600 in singapore, malaysia, thailand, indonesia if u dun wanna lose ur clients to overheating..?
Please can you make a comparison with the Sony Zve10 II ????
