1. Wide shot / rule of thirds / right or left side of the frame 2. Medium shot / up close / interact with the environment 3. Close up shot of other part of the subject/ their interest / their emotions described 4. Another close up of a detail/ combination of all 3 above
4th SHOT: an abstract / texture Good for placing titles. Usually a macro, or a detail shot. In your example, it could capture just the texture of grass, or the water.
Note to self: 1. Wideshot(rule of third) 2. Medium shot (waist up - balanced + close up) 3. Close up shot ( shows emotions of the character which is connected to the prev shot) 4. Depends on story (a.detail )
So easy to understand the concept of daily vlogs if you are not living in the city 😂… It is so hard for me because people watching my camera and are ready to steal and run. BTW, your video is great.🎉😊

Hey, Alvin! Just want to say that I'm starting my UA-cam journey and I've found your content to be so helpful and valuable for a beginner UA-camr like me. Keep up the great work and can't wait to see your channel grow bigger as well because you deserve it!!
I hear you! While I work on that tutorial, MagMirror can help you capture beautifully lit footage that's easier to color grade. Its adjustable lighting lets you nail the look in-camera.
Fantastic video! MagMirror would be an amazing addition to your setup-it offers real-time screen mirroring to perfect your framing and versatile LED lighting to elevate your visuals. Its portable design and built-in power bank make it ideal for creators like you who are always pushing boundaries. Keep creating awesome content!
Just a suggestion for continuity: If, during a wide shot, your actor exits the frame, say, to the right, and your following shot is another wide angle, keep them heading to the right. I suggest this because one wide angle you exited to the right. Then the next wide angle, you're crossing the bridge to the left. On another note, I loved your color grade.
this video is perfect timing! im getting back into filming and need to get better at planning my shots. the way you broke it down makes a lot more sense for me. thanks :))
I really like how you presented your idea, and I think the “loop” and addition of a 4th shot separate from the Wide > Medium > Close up is a really good idea. I personally have found that being conscious about the items you’re carrying in a scene can also provide a nice storyline to a sequence. Like in the shots you showed, maybe I would’ve tried to include more emphasis on that red water bottle, especially since it had a nice color contrast. (Not saying this would make anything better, just something that I’ve been thinking about lately) Just a thought though! Can’t wait to see more from you 😎

this is great tutorial po!
I think the secrete is white balance 🤔
1. Wide shot / rule of thirds / right or left side of the frame
2. Medium shot / up close / interact with the environment
3. Close up shot of other part of the subject/ their interest / their emotions described
4. Another close up of a detail/ combination of all 3 above
Alvin really broke it down in the most simplest way. Thank you for not making it convoluted.
