Mike these Ripcasts are my favorite. You two are hilarious when giving different opinions on stuff. He’s blunt with you but you can see the mutual respect and friendship that’s developed over these talks. Good stuff and please try to have him on as much as possible. He’s an endless source of content. 💯👍
Great discussion, I learned a lot from you two. Glad there are folks out there that can explain the topics in plain language. Mike I am in the middle of the 3rd edition of your book for men and learning a ton.
Thanks guys for the show!!! I dont mind hearing you guys for hours. The back pain podcast seems like an awesome idea and if possibe, could you add cervical neck pain. I have been struggling with this for years!!
I feel this mark rippeto styl of traning should be the baseline you allways go back to, and train like this 70% off the time afther novice phase , the rest off the tine try to push volum but still on a minimalistisk setup.
Started doing my first ever bench press today! Have never done pressing of any kind before. Coming across this video was very helpful. Thank you. This long interview wasn’t boring at all.
Great material. As you mentioned recording audiobooks in the beginning, let me suggest that you record the audiobook yourself. Hearing your words in your voice, tone, etc., is helpful. I have listened to several of your books including those you recited and those that others recited, and I personally prefer the ones you read. Just a little feedback. Thanks for what you do.
I'm with Rip, I've never been comfortable with the BB Incline Press either. I think it may be a positional problem on the bench as well. When I take the bar off the hooks my shoulders feel out synch with the position of the bar.
So many people are missing out on this. I , myself was wondering around the net looking for answers. Until we have the basic fundamentals understood and are walking the walk , the rest is a road to nowhere.
power racks decrease the risk of being "guillotined" to literally 0. Always love the black and white views of rip XD Nuance is something nonexistent in his philosophy. Which is probably a good thing because it led to his method/books etc
Good podcast. Men posing shirtless is really weird though. Guys you can tell are yoked with their shirt on look way more bad ass and impressive and don’t look pathetic feeling like they need to pose shirtless so people can see their abs and be able to yell that they “work out.”
You have to go back to adding video to the podcast. It's so easy to fall to sleep just looking at a thumbnail. I use to watch all your videos. Your Podcasts, I just skip them.

Great info on pressing more frequently to get your press up.
Yes thank you for this episode I have been trying to improve my OHP. 🔥🔥🔥
Great interview!
I really enjoy these podcasts with Ripp! Looking forward to listening to more of them.

Thanks Christopher! Yep, I've been doing my own narration for the past several books. :)

Awesome as always
Music at the beginning?
Plz make video on how to grow taller.
Why dont any powerlifting federations require vertical forearms at the bottom of the bench?
I'd argue if you implemented that, you would also have to ban sumo deadlift, like strongman did
More cool than Rogan. I listen to your podcasts during my dog walks and would enjoy longer content like Rogan.
I cant do standing press because my ceiling too low :(
Nice dude
I totally listened to 3 hours of Rogan before listening to this. Both were great. Haha

How about demonstrating with visuals and not just say how.
Theres a few videos online of Rip going through these
You got to get aggressive
Dumbbell standing over head press a excellent training program
The barbell puts the shoulders in a impingement
You clearly don't know what you're talking about and didn't even listen to the video. Impingement is covered around the 56:00 mark. Facepalm.
