@@cuhTheEditor I had thought you were continuing the Sonic and Shadow back and forth as Sonic so I was continuing it as Shadow. I’m sorry for misunderstanding that
"As I fall I recall the way they stole the light away from me" It has a lot of meaning, not just Maria, But how could Shadow have been someone with a brighter and happier personality if that hadn't happened.
Dunno if Juno will see this comment, but it would be incredibly funny if another version of this lyrical version of Radical Highway was released but with Black Doom just talking about how cool Radical Highway is in Sonic Adventure 2 and why he keeps using it over and over.
I mean, Shadow grinds down the suspensions cables like **fwshhhhh** and then fighter jets come in and drop bombs like **boom boom boom** but he dodges them, and then he goes into that building with the springs and it's like **bwong bwong bwong** Oh my god, it's so cool!
It was actually theorized, and later confirmed in the latest Twitter Takeover, that the reason why Black Doom repeatedly brings Shadow to Radical Highway is because it's where he was at his angriest after being reawakened, and where he vowed revenge in Maria's name. Throughout the game, it's heavily implied that it's easier for Black Doom to control Shadow the angrier Shadow is. So by taking him to a place where he has memories of anger, he hopes to reawaken that anger in Shadow to take control of him.
This is probably the best Sonic WIth Lyrics project I have EVER heard. EVER. From the PERFECT impressions, to the surprisingly fitting references, to your GORGEOUS voice, this is just phenomenal. I'll never understand how you consistently drop such BANGERS, but I am HYPED to see your next work- be it Shadow Generations or something else entirely. also black doom rapping was not on my 2024 bingo card
"Hey there Shadow, it's me, The Devil, I'm opening up my portal again. It seems like you got a little confused last time, you confused sinning with legality. Killing the president is actually pretty good, that's gonna getcha into Heaven." -The Devil from Da Bible
i don't know if it's intentional or not, but "i don't care how many times i need to bring your end" may be a subtle nod to how their are multible endings to the shadow the hedgehog game. if that was intentional, that's really cool
I like how Shadow's lyrics fit into his mindset in Adventure 2 as well as Generations. In SA2, Shadow wants to bring judgement and retribution to the humans, who took everything from him. In Gens, he wants to bring retribution upon Black Doom, who wants to take everything that Shadow cares about away from him. "Why'd you bring me back into my darkest hour? Why'd you bring me back to cables, cars, and towers? From thins highway, I've since taken off the turn. Now retribution burns!" I have no idea how intentional this was.
Sega: " some performers and 1 singer, the rest are responsible for special effects, etc". Juno: "There's art, there's footage, there's musical accompaniment...hmm...there are no lyrics or voice changes yet...Okay, Juno, get to work!!! Time to rock again! Haha!"
I left a comment but I'll rewrite it because I need to be more elaborate about this. This is so good!! I love the lyrics!! Shadow wanting to put Black Doom in his place, Black Doom using Shadow's anger at him to corrupt Shadow, Shadow's tragic feelings about Maria meshing with the whole situation... This is what Shadow Generations is all about. And I'm not gonna lie, I feel like the actual game was a little too brief in that regard, and it didn't have the room to properly flesh out some of these concepts and let them get weaved together. But your song does that perfectly! And of course the actual music also SLAPS, so fantastic job all around
Juno has the amazing talent of implanting words into my brain that just appear in my head whenever I listen to a song that has been covered. Like I was listening to the Athletic BGM in Yoshi’s Island and my brain just started thinking about Tax Fraud
I like how you tried to incorporate black doom trying to bring shadow back to a point where he hated humanity, since that's a common headcanon for why black doom brings shadow to radical highway.
Guess that also means the "Demonic Generations of Shadow", what I love to called for an album, is available where Shadow the Hedgehog beat down Black Arms that invaded other universes that always involving demons
How Juno manages to manifest banger after banger into existence all by themself is both beyond me and beyond impressive. This is a song I never knew I needed and now cannot live without. I love Juno's Shadow voice! Definitely makes me want to get more into the game.
Shadow: Why’d you bring my to my darkest hour. Why’d you bring me back to cables, cars, and towers. Black Doom: I just think this place is Radical.
