I love the call-back to OVA with "you know what I'm gonna do, but it's strange" being a short version of "You may know everything I'm going to do, but that won't help you because I know everything you're going to do, strange isn't it?"

As someone who likes the whole Metal is a future Sonic turned into a robot theory. It feels like Metal is trying to sing alongside Sonic, but he can only grunt out the final parts of the verses because of the restrains and programming holding him back.

I love how Metal Sonic’s lines not only add to Sonic’s lines, giving a bit of garnish with the robot voice, but depending on how you look at it, it’s either Metal Sonic proving Sonic’s point that he’s a cheap copy, or proving that Eggman succeeded in making machine that could finally match Sonic
How serendipitous that I got to meet Jason Griffith, the voice of Sonic and Shadow in Sonic X, that this comes on this my feed. Love this song and this franchise.

Bad Future Stardust Speedway?? This is a genuine treat!
I'd been waiting for this ever since you put out auditions. Despite playing a decent amount of Sonic I never got around to CD until earlier this year and I fell in love with the game, and fully get why this boss fight is so iconic. (Probably the first time they did a race boss, a natural fit for the series)
I love the fact that Sonic was being the cocky hedgehog he always was. Amazing cover, waited for a long time!
I was half-expecting it to be the Generations remix, but let's be real. Any version of Stardust Speedway Bad Future, US & JP, will never not sound great. Fun fact: even if you get a good future on Stardust Speedway, the bad future theme will still play when you race Metal Sonic. This is truely Metal's theme.

At first I was a little disappointed that Metal Sonic only did the “response” at each verse, but it would make sense because for most of his existence Metal hasn’t even been able to talk. Meanwhile Sonic has almost Deadpool levels of smack talk, so of course he’s the one taking up 99% of the song.
