Fantastic reaction! This is probably my favorite song by Jinjer. Tatiana's vocals are so versatile, and the switches from clean to growl and back are amazing! The band is so incredibly talented, too. Notice when Vlad is doing those blast beats on drums, he is relaxed and on point. A lot of drummers tend to tense up on those. So glad you did this one!

I just want to say it was really nice in the middle seeing you relax a little and just get lost in the song in the middle. I understand with the classical training and while trying to analyze its a hard thing to allow yourself to do, but remember music is about conveying emotion, and allowing yourself to feel it is a positive not a negative.

During the music only section, Vlad is playing what are called blast beats, in his case a combination blast bomb due his use of the double bass drums. "The bomb blast is essentially a combination of blast beat and double bass drumming. When measured in 16th notes a bomb blast consists of 8th notes on the snare played above a 16th notes kick drum line."

You seem to be very insightful, for a young adult, Tatiana is a seasoned performer that manages her ambitious vocals exceptionally well, even when she's not in top form. I'm a huge fan of how she performed live when the band wasn't very popular. Polished vocals for Album is expected, singing well, while embracing the level of difficulty, live is much more impressive. My future JINJER reaction request is... "No Hoard of Value" live version is my preference, the lyric video w/studio rec. Sound is great as well.

I consider both the death growls of Tatianna and operatic singing to both be extreme vocals. Both require extensive practice and precise technique to avoid injury, just completely different methodology. (BTW, really nice vocalization on your intro. Please keep at it; the world is better with your voice in it as you hone your craft.) But as astonishing as Tatiana's vocals are, I'm also astonished at the lyrics (especially in their second language) and the instrumentation that fills the soundscape with only 3 instruments while also subverting expectations and explores music theory in very interesting directions.

One thing I love about this song is that it really showcases Tatiana's versatility as a vocalist. Her growling and clean singing are second to none, and her rapping has an organic pulse to it, with just enough swag to sell it. Meanwhile, Roman, Eugene, and Vlad deliver super-tight grooves and rhythm changes with ease. As a one-time drummer, I especially love listening to Vlad's amazing skills which are in full effect here. Your commentary really brought this one to life for me, Aaliyah. Nice work! I'll recommend a change of pace: Joni Mitchell's A Case Of You: ua-cam.com/video/2U8t0by4tfw/v-deo.html

@@AaliyahCapili he hits the highest note i've ever heard which is that A6 i was talking about, he has lifted extreme vocals to a whole new level on his own, which is pretty impressive to say the least, and he probably has got an even bigger range than Devin Townsend who has a 7 and a quarter octave range... and just like Will total breath control . both of them are the absolute top of the range, and an absolute joy to listen to. hope you can also do Screaming for Vengeance from judas Priest from the 1983 memphis video, without Rob Halford and Ronnie James Dio who are the two original metal singers no one else would sing metal, it was them who paved the way for everything else that followed. in that respect you should check out Stargazer by Rainbow, studio version of this all time brilliant classic :) there is no music without it's history, and this is how history will view this in the end. Black Sabbath made music HEAVY, Judas Priest added the second guitar and made it HEAVY METAL, and every band that plays heavy music ows them for that :)

I'm curious how people with non-metal musical backgrounds feel after being exposed to this kind of music. I'm sure you find the anatomy and technical aspects of harsh vocals interesting, are you curious what you could do with your own voice? You don't have to become a singer in a metal band, especially if you enjoy opera, but I know other UA-camrs who have been diving into this music find themselves wanting to know more about what humans can do with their voices. I myself have started playing around with harsh vocals even though I'm not a singer. Being able to sound like a monster is fun, as long as you aren't hurting yourself. It makes you feel strong.

Hi @Aaliyah Capili. I love Tatiana and jinjer, She is a goddess metal frontwoman! Please check out a japanese band called Dir En Grey, they one of the biggest in Japan, all the musicians are virtuosos and their vocalist called Kyo has a 6 octave vocal range, possibly even higher, up to the 8th octave. His clean vocals are absolutely amazing, and he's mastered every type of growl and scream. He's known to switch voices completely mid-song or even mid-sentence. His voice bottoms at A1, and he's hit into the 8th and possibly 9th octave live (debated on whether or not falsetto and whistle notes count, but he belted out the G#7 from the diaphragm). Check "[subbed] Dir en grey - rinkaku to see how insane his vocal abilities are.

It’s kinda baffling to me that everyone likes when girls scream in music but for the past 40 years everyone said “I can’t understand what they’re saying,” “they sound like Cookie Monster,” and “metal is just a bunch of satanic dudes banging pots and pans together.” Seems silly to me. While Tati is good. There are countless people before her that she takes influence from. A lot of which were subjectively better or worse.

But we are so grateful for your support, patience and all the guidance that you always shared to her. Its actually my fault that sometimee we miss out on a particular link, as sometimes we overlook it. @@AaliyahCapili I suggested Jinjer to you as I knew you'd be shocked at her vocal ability. What I send, including different versions of songs, is so you don't get into problems with YT & get strikes that will make you lose your channel. I've seen some of your reactions have been blocked before...right? When I sent the Melbourne live version it was because you'd see the vocal transitions clearly instead of the edited official vid that other reactors did too. YT will also see a different vid reaction and place you up the search suggestions as its not the same as the rest. Anyway do what I suggest or not its up to you. It is your channel.
