my mum bought this side of paradise for me. i didn't like it at first. but after a few plays i got into it. 40 years later still 1 of my 2 fav albums ever. steve stevens great guitar.

But it comes in, gets the job done WELL (kinda like the Touch and Go solo in that respect) and then goes away leaving you satisfied. Kinda like Greg Hawkes occasional line of Casio CZ101 square wave lines in this song, especially. Sometimes, less truly IS MORE!

I remember this song and also "Something to Grab For" on Beatitude both got a decent amount air time in the late 80's - both a must for Cars collections IMHO.

Just yesterday, Jan 31, 2019, saw footage of a 53 year old Paulina posing for a May release of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue. She looks amazing ! The commentator said, "Can't believe it's been 36 years since she 1st appeared in Sport's Illustrated, looks like only 36 days have passed!" Ric & Paulina's home in N.Y. just went on the market last week. I know the fans wish they could stay together. Who knows, maybe they will. Such a fairytale marriage in our eyes. Here's hoping they can work it out. If not as husband & wife, it's promising to see them happy together with their grown sons. They looked stunning together at the RARHOF. Been my favorite band since the late 70s when their first album came out. I love the allbum the had before that called milkwood.. They were my top band no matter how many bands that i loved.. There is none like them or made me so happy.. Their sound was what got me sound of the 80s so unique

I remember first hearing only PART of this song-the ending, "....true to you...I'm true to you..!" And NEVER forgot it, never knew who did it, etc..this was about '83-84 or so...never forgot it, and now here it is!!! 🙏👍😄☺😍

Chris Hughes is a great drummer (certainly Adam Ant thought so), but no better than David Robinson, who has many great moments all thru the Cars albums. Why didn't Ric get him in for this, too? Mini-reunion! The video's much better than I remembered. Has a "spontaneous" feel to it. I don't like Ric pretending to play the solo, but maybe Elliot wasn't available to appear anyway. Wasn't this song released as a single? I seem to remember it got some radio-play as well as MTV playing the video.
