I saw The Crazy World of Arthur Brown live in 1968 and it is one of the most memorable gigs I have ever seen. Truly fabulous.
They didn’t close the comments for this one! Remember lads!…
he's gonna play this on speakers max volume while cooking 51 kebabs

A 17 year old Carl Palmer started out playing drums for Arthur Brown before he became the iconic drummer of Emerson, Lake , and Palmer.
Not on the LP; their original drummer had to bow out, Palmer was recruited for the tour.
Is this Palmer here?
I don't think that's Carl on the vid - I saw the band live at Rebeccas club in Birmingham, can't remember if it was 68 or 69 now but Carl was with them then - he was in Chris Farlows band The Thunderbirds before that.
You're all forgetting that his previous band, before joining ELP, was Atomic Rooster.
@@oliaslives6986 yep, ya beat me to it! Oh what a time it was leading up to the formation of ELP. Keith with the Nice, Greg with King Crimson and Carl with AR.
The track shot straight to the top of the NZ charts
Yeah 51 times

I was working on the Underground in 1999 and saw Arthur at Paddington station. I felt inclined to fall to my knees.
😂😂😂😂😂😂❤
and i saw him at the roundhouse in 1972.butt did not fall to my knees.
A true testament to the power grace and fire of ARTHUR BROWN in all his electric glory loud blazing and heartfelt a moment and magical time now crystallized in our hearts forevermore
What people may forget about Arthur Brown,he played the priest in the Tommy movie.I was 13years old when this album came out and my friend Robert bought this record. We played out this record over until we stopped listening to it.Fire is still one of my favorite songs ever recorded.
A bloke from straya recommended this song to me, after that i never saw him again.
I miss him 😔
@@DanielOfRussia Hopefully he is out soon for good behaviour 😇

keep up, lad, 5 years have past. you're not forgotten.
Yeah, he’ll never be forgotten (not saying it was a good or bad thing); it inspired Gökmen Tanis (if I remember correctly), John Earnest, Patrick Crusius, Manshaus, Vincent Fuller, Stephan Balliet, Singapore mosque attacks plot (unknown Indian teenager; we don’t have his name), Nathaniel Veltman, Hugo Jackson, Payton Gendron, Juraj Krajčík, Ryan Palmeter.
Probably the most influential mass shooting ever outside of Columbine. And maybe the most unique with the fact he live-streamed it.

This song was playing on Brentan Tarrant’s car radio as he was driving away from the Christchurch mosque.

This man was, and is, an overlooked innovator. It has comparatively benign feel by today's standard, but at the time it was as dark as it got.

I found this song because of Jimi Hendrix, literally yesterday I was reading an article that included interview with Jimi Hendrix and he spoke of Arthur Brown and the song Fire. I assumed it must be something good when Jimi Hendrix recommended the song, not disappointed at all. I must agree, this is probably the beginning of shock Rock, I don't believe anybody had done anything like this before. Peace to the world and rock on✌️😈🤘

This is one of my 45 records that I still have. My mom would yell upstairs, turn that devil music off! She also hated, Alice Copper.
Man slipknot had a much different sound back in the day...
This is the guy that paved the way for everything disturbing and fucked up. He was even before Cooper, I don't know if things would have developed the same without him.
Word
Before GHOst, Arthur Brown man
@Corey UA-cam Channel
Nobody knew who Alice Cooper was until 1971. Their first album didn't come out until a year after "Fire", and their first single "I'm 18" came out in 1971.
@Corey UA-cam Channel
Yes he has. Loved Alice Cooper. The musicians were very underated imo. I'm thinking of buying Dennis Dunnaway's book.
Have you read it? Heard anything about it?
Mags dropped out instantly
Left a full magazine back there for sure, possibly more
Don’t forget mags already on the floor in the entrance hallway when he first pulls up lol
@B...U...R...Z...U...M what don’t you understand, I said it was there on the floor before he even showed up, he literally walks up to the entrance and there’s already one on the floor, it’s fake.
@masoneasksjf cope it’s already on the floor way before he walks up to the entrance, plus when people get nerf dart it’s so obviously fake
@masoneasksjf it’s one of the most obviously stages ones, cope and feel bad
Fire! pam pam pam!
Haha is perfect
man this song is so good i listened to it 51 times! the first time i heard this song was from a speeding car after what i think was a fireworks show, man those were some loud fireworks.
Meld deep purple and the Doors together- Arthur Brown! Good stuff- ahead of his time!!👍
