- My family had never seen a volcano before, so I took them to the land of volcanoes. We booked a room with a volcano view at Casa 1800 and had an incredible time exploring Cerro Verde, hiking nature trails, and eating pupusas.
All the food was delicious, and everyone loved the volcano view as well. Once we were done eating, we went to explore more of Cerro Verde. There are several walking trails there with all kinds of plants, trees, and beautiful birds as well. It was really cool to be away from the noise and craziness of the city and spend time surrounded by nature.
Everyone was talking about coming back again. Once our kids are bigger, we’ll be ready to hike all the way up to the top of Santa Ana volcano. Can’t wait! We did so many other things in El Salvador, so check out the other videos from our trip.

Beautiful video!!! Love that you’re sharing your experience with your children. Do you feel safe at Cerro Verde? I think my trauma is feeling like the gangs are hiding around those areas. Do you see a lot of security there and on the way there? Thanks!

We went to several places in El Salvador and didn’t feel unsafe anywhere. There is security around the park and within the hotel.
The hotel is called “Casa 1800”. They have a few locations in El Salvador
