2:03 those buses used to be school buses in the U.S., but when they were brought here, the owners remodified the buses so that more seats can fit in the bus thus carrying more people, I remember this back from 1986 when I used to go to middle school and I had to take the regular bus. But yeah, it's annoying and also the width of the seat is cut so short so that more people can fit in the aisle.

I was there a week ago. By all means do it without a guided tour. I got up early, walk to La Vencedora Station. it was funny beacuse the armed guard at La Vencedora was at the door, smiling and waving people over who he thought were looking for the place to take the bus to the Volcano. most of the bus riders are tourist going to the Volcano. once at the base of the Volcano the local guides are waiting for the bus to arrive, there are bathrooms and a place to eat and get coffee before the hike. The guides make sure to be back on time to take the bus back to Santa Ana. Again by all means do this on your own. a guided tour is just an unnecessary ,huge ripp off. Also the early morning walk to La Vencedora is good warm up to the hike later .
Yes exactly, we always prefer to do how the locals do. Sometimes guided tours are beneficial and needed, but for things like this you can do it on your own

Yes unfortunately lots of Canada is on the decline and getting worse. Hopefully things will turn around in Canada, as Canadian born people we don’t like to see what is going on. But Bukele has proven he is a man of the people, the country has turned around so quickly and it will only get better.

Yes, old buses from the US, that is what everyone told us. It is a good and cheap way to get around, it can get crammed but not a big deal

I think it was around 8-9am, more like 9am I think. Definitely recommend it
