@@LuckyLiarK That's cool, the briar shield has a pretty neat design, but either way for fashion reasons I don't enjoy equipping shields while two-handing. Unless the boss gets too hard.
If your build has low Arcane or Endurance, then it would be a problem trying to out run the Blight build up. Even still, you would have to wait a while for it to go down if you want to progress forward seamlessly, or else you'll likely be Blighted the next time you do run into another set of basilisk eyes. They are generous to give you 3 rejuvenating blouses at the start. Though if you want to explore at your own pace, you're best bet is to take a safe route to avoid the line of sight.
@@Inferryu Eh it's no different than the spike traps. Alot of it is sitting and looking around before acting. In fact with mimic veil... It's even less of a problem than all other traps lol.

I'm putting another method no one seems to have mentioned. If you've been to the dungeon with Lamenter boss, you may have found Lamenter's visage. Its aow (Blindfold of Happiness) does the same effect. I didn't have AG on any of my weapons when I was in this dungeon. So, BoH helped me instead.
@@MetalHev The thing is, I didn't have Assassin's Gambit equipped on any weapon since I never bother checking/using it. So, if I had to equip it, I'd have to leave the dungeon. Or I'd have to ignore a certain optional route because the deathblight buildup is too fast to get there. I also heard the black knife also helps but I didn't have that either. BoH just happened to come by default with Lamenter for me. So, if anyone missing both of the options from the base game, they might wanna check if they got this item from the DLC. And since this is DLC item, there's a good chance not many people know of this.

Because: 1. You have to realize this enemy is not only sight-based, but may also interact with invisibility features 2. It's not very unlikely that someone has never used any of the vanishing spells/AoW and not even know that such exists. These games gives you the tools but they're like needle in a haystack. Some might find it by chance while some others will not even know their existence.

The mimic veil is really strong too. If an enemy doesn't see you transform or move, they will walk right past you on patrol without engaging. I was using it in the DLC in the castle bit right past the bird roof with a big guy on patrol. Snuck right past him.
I play most of the game roleplaying as a rogue Black Knife. Stealth talismans and the dagger talisman that boosts crit damage. Just enough Intelligence and Faith to cast Unseen Form and Darkness for near-constant backstabs My stealthy playstyle has made everything in the DLC a breeze. Except bosses. But these death statues and the frenzy ghosts in the Abyss? Too ez
Come on Order Healing incantation removes death blight require 11 int and 11 faith, at this point in a game EVERYONE have this. Or just get Death prince talisman and run, easiest dungeon in DLC
Lamenting Visage helps too. It doesn't makes you completely invisible but you can move relativ near to them without being detected. I only switched some health portions to fp portions because you have to use the lanterns skill a few times.

@@pagatryx5451At some point in the dungeon I simply equipped the grave scythe since I knew I would forget to change back the talisman

I tried it for fun to sneak from Leyndell east to west past the street with soldiers, funniest loony toons shit I've seen
it only works a certain distance from them afterwrds too close they detect you same with frenzied tower

I actually figured this out on my own just the other day through experimentation.
I killed the giant one right at the end using Starcaller before I activated the lever and the drop got bugged out in mid air
So that means hidden body and blindness of happy also work huh
I knew this because on my assassin build I use that go walk past enemies and straight to the boss

I didn't have a problem with this dungeon even without using any of these tools. There is enough space and alternate paths to avoid them.
The moving eyes can be switched off by using the Dark Knifes Blade of Death 💀
