Great video! It’s so there. My son is a university shortstop. You laid out every scenario he encounters. Great video for all those aspiring to play SS!
I can’t express this enough: If you are old enough to seek this video out and felt the need to find a video like this, you need to find better coaches!!! Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate this page posting this video: Many young players need videos like this, it may be all they have available. But I’m inclined to believe that most of this particular video’s views will come from middle to high school aged kids who have access to and play for some sort of club or “academy”. If this is you and your coaches aren’t teaching you these things you need to leave that program! Thanks to this man for posting the video, I hope that an incredible amount of kids get the information that they need/desire! Hope my two cents doesn’t rub too many the wrong way.
There's always something to learn from different coaches and different perspectives no matter how good a coach is - or no matter how good they 'think' they are... (And this is also for coaches to learn from.)
Some coaches might suggest watching the videos because of the small amount of time they have with players each week. They practice it at home and then they observe the players progress at practice. Hope this helped

This is helpful as i tryout for the shortstop in my school, thanks
I played short stop, outfield and 3rd base
@@NoluvDee1 holy poop, same position, i do center field
To me playing shortstop or 3rd base are elite positions.
Great stuff! Very informative clear and concise. I will pass it on.
Thank you!
Great video, I’m going to keep studying it until I have this stuff completely down. Thanks for the post!
This vid really helped me for a try out I had
I’m not a player (I play tennis) just a guy learning more about baseball.
Thx
Excellent info. but it would be nice if you slowed down.

I am 34 and just started playing adult rec league softball.....so... 😂 yeah. Never had coaches
Bad take. 👎
Great info, but slow it down, too much info to fast. Foot work is where it's at, thanks for the video
I agree and adding sections to videos helps as well
Lmao!!!! It's 3 steps the mound and 3 steps to second. Uve never played ball by the way!!! Where's the footwork?!!!
It’s an instructional video buddy, not a live action game.
Bad advertising as De La Cruz is horrible defensively.
Bro, it doesn’t matter who’s on the logo he’s still teaching the same shit
