  • So I did buy an Accurascale class 37 which I am very pleased to have done without pre ordering but it was not without some problems and not just with the loco which is the first part of this but after some running shots of her and others running around my OO loft train set and news of my new layout to come.

    Very nice 37 Robert, I have a couple of them which I am very pleased with. I was in IT and I have inadvertently deleted important files, never to be seen again…Simon

      Hi Simon,
      This is a video from the past and as nice as these models are the new wave of manufactorers are giving us super models but with it comes more problems that take away the enjoyment of running them but that now seems to be the norm. I thank you for watching and your very nice comments and hope you are keeping well.
      Cheers Robert.

      Hi Peter,
      As I said in this I was expecting the 37 to be as good as the Hattons 66 so a little disapponted but it is what it is but overall a very good loco. Thanks for watching as always along with the very nice comments keep safe and well.
      Cheers Robert.

    Hi Robert that is a lovely 37 it does make you wonder if that what these companies do, like miss leads the customer, Sorry for not watching the second to last video been busy graining, staining and glue wood but I will watch it.Hope your well. Colin

      Hi Colin,
      We cannot watch every video we are subscribed to I certainly do not so just watch what takes your fancy and with a "small " bridge to build and a large layout to build you have every reason to miss a few. Thanks so much for watching this one and your very nice comments keep well and building with a side order of videoing it for us will watch out for the results soon.
      Cheers Robert.

    Hi Robert, sorry to hear about your 37. I'm with you 100% there is a line to be drawn between detail and too much detail which affects the model running. Susannah

    • @robertstrainset6556
      @robertstrainset6556  8 місяців тому

      Hi Susannah,
      Yes I have now had 2 Accurascale loco's that the chains have caused a problem so if they must have them glue them solid on to the bogie cut and glue the other end to the body problem solved and it makes maintenance easier also. Thanks very much for watching and your very nice comments and hope you enjoyed the video.
      Cheers Robert.

      Hi,
      Thanks for watching and your very nice comments and I hope showing you the whole 395 made up for the cock up live its just as well I did watch that one through or I would not have seen my mistake and really upset you. I have done a new post on the end to end layout you may like to have a look to see whats going on can you work it out from the photos.
      Cheers Robert.

      Questions were asked in the house, letters to the Times😲
      You think you've got problems, the motor on my Coca cola Bagnall's playing up😖
      Stutters! Shorts? "Flames"! Smoke?😱
      My 395 still runs😁👍👍

      Definitely a new motor, sooner or later, Sooner🤞 I say "flames!", an orange flash from inside the motor. Ran OK today, after a false start🤷‍♂

    Hi Robert.
    Your not the only one who has managed to delete a load of video footage, I did so whilst wanting to delete one file I forgot that I had a whole load selected at the time after moving them and the lot went.
    I agree with you on the detail front as the chains are a detail too far for this scale. For static displays or larger models they are fine but not for a working OO or smaller model that will need maintaining from time to time, they are just too fragile and get caught up far to easily. The manufacturers are trying to cater for the rivet counters, most normal folk don't care for such detail. I say if the counters want them then add them their selves, they could be provided in the detail packs.
    Cheers Rob.

      Hi Rob,
      Thanks for watching and your very nice comments and yes its detail for details sake but yes let those who want tham fit themselves or see my answer to Pixie586 below however it is a very nice model and I am pleased I have her all thats left to do now is get her ready for iTrains and that is some test for them and see if the chain can be reattached??? Keep well and safe.

    Hi Robert nice video. I also went on to look at the 37s that were advertised, however i did look through all the offers, you had to click onto the site to get all the stock. Ive also had accurascale trains left on my step however thats not down to them but the delivery company to who i complained. I got rud of my cheap and nasty hornby points and replaced with peco and hey ho the trains ran fine. As for the sound im happy with the volume as i personally hate the very loud loco's that drown out everything else. As you said tho you can adjust it. Hope its all running ok now atb Andy

    • @robertstrainset6556
      @robertstrainset6556  8 місяців тому +1

      Hi Andy,
      Cheers very much for watching and your very nice comments and see what your saying about the emails but to buy I did click on them so all that is available should show it is to my mind only fair so yes were they trying to get these two to sell???. As for cheap and nasty Hornby points most of my layout has them and almost all of the time they work ok so I am happy to keep them but if I did change them to Peco are they a match for them and the Peco point I do have (curved point) the Hornby point surface motor does not fit the tie bar post so adjustment is required its the fun of running a railway I think. Yes sound is a very subjective thing I agree but just thought the 37 would be in the Hattons 66 mould but still to try seeing if the cv can be adjusted so hope mine is set a bit lower the model overall is great so I am happy. My layout is like most good days and bad days in this it was shorting out no idea why so another investigation required but thats the fun sometimes. As for you no videos for months any coming soon as like seeing your super layout? Hope your well and life is good.
      Cheers Robert.

      @@robertstrainset6556 hi Robert yes I'll be doing a layout update at some point. I've only just started modelling again after the summer holidays etc. I use surface mount point motors but was advised to use the Gaugemaster type as they seem to fit most points and work well with my cdu system. Good luck with finding your short problem cheers Andy

    I have to agree the acurascale 37 is a fantastic model which does have its failings, however so does the Bachmann. I did tell Accurascale this at GETS, but it is a fantastic achievement to create a model which 'at least' equals the market leading bachmann 37.

      Hi John,
      Yes pleased I now have a 37 from them but I did expect the sound to be as good as the Hattons 66 which I do not think it is close. Cheers for watching and your very nice comments. I have done a post on the "new Layout" have a look and see if you can workout what will happen. Hope your work both school & railways is going well.
      Cheers Robert.

    Robert, you never said why the Train Set was Fusing or have you not found out why? Also Robert, do not buy any Bachmann split Chassis locomotives as I told myself not too. Now I have five which are all requiring parts for repair, Sometime I should listen to myself. Martin. (Thailand)

    • @robertstrainset6556
      @robertstrainset6556  8 місяців тому +1

      Hi Martin,
      Most of the time I am a new buy only modeller but sometimes you just have to buy S/H but yes not Bachmann spilts but getting new does not work either as I have an Oxford Rail N7 that needs just one connecting screw and not even Peters spares can supply yes it runs but not good. As always thank you so much for watching and your very nice & informative comments and as for the shorts no I do not know why but think it must be to do with a point as both times it happened all that was needed to start again was to push the start button so no derailments which is usually the cause so a new 37 has joined the fleet it may be her will investicate. Hope you are well and enjoying your nice weather unlike here
      Cheers Robert..

    Hi Robert,
    what a lovely 37 it looks great...
    i've lost many videos owing to clearing out the wrong files...
    The model pulls very well mate... Which 37 do you think is best ? your older one or the new one? Good luck with the micro end to end layout build

      Hi Neil,
      Which 37 is best good question I have 3 of them a Hornby railroad with extras a Bachmann with a TTS decoder in it and this one I can feel a video coming on but not yet as so many videos are pilling up its not true not least the new build for which today I ordered some materials for arriving Monday. Cheers for watching and your very nice comments as for taking out the video clips hope not to do it again. Keep well and safe.

    Enjoyed it Robert. What causes the fusing issue?

    • @robertstrainset6556
      @robertstrainset6556  8 місяців тому

      Hi Andy,
      No idea about the fusing not had it before like this as you usually have to move something to sort it but with this I just reset and it did further infestigation is required but most likely a point being shorted by a wheel. As always cheers for watching and your very nice comments and have you looked at my new post on the end to end.
      Cheers Robert.

    Just like on a real preserved railway. Take the Class 26 diesel on the Llangollen Railway some time ago, for example. At first, Mr. 26 was running well. Come to the return journey from Carrog (Corwen still wasn't open at that stage), he failed because he wasn't being used often enough. Thankfully, much to my relief, a steamy took over. The timetable was a bit hit and miss, but I enjoyed riding behind the steamy very much. I've noticed something not quite right on your railway in the loft. The apple tree by Swan Lake has come up from the base slightly, and looks ready to fall on the track. Please don't let it disrupt your timetable. Also, how do you get the intro title words to flip the letters? That's very clever.

      Yes the tree blown over in the storm I think as for the titles its part of the editing program so its them you should congradulate as always cheers for watching and your very nice comments.

      Hi Alan,
      I do not have a new Bachmann 37 but yes I did think this would be better in my case its about the sound I was expecting it to be Hattons 66 class as for the chains I have at least reattached it with the help of some super glue but so fiddly nearly went mad doing it. Cheers for watching and your very nice comments and like you will only have one of these on the layout. Hope you are keeping well and thinking of doing a film for us all.
      Cheers Robert.
