That game that went down to the final card in your library was a real nail biter. Impressive navigation of a difficult play situation, absolutely amazing.
That second Rogues game was one of the most nail biting matches I've ever seen. I almost cried when he topdecked that Into The Story after being empty handed, but good on you for fighting back.
Dude, I love seeing you play Blue-White Control in these best of three events. Blue-White Sky Noodle is a treat, and seeing you face off against some living Magic legends was a joy. You’re not disappointing any CGB fans I know. Fight on, One in Best of One!
Hey CGB, I been watching you since you played the Elenboghen deck and every day since, so you been coming into my home for a while. You don’t know me but to me your like family and I can say I was so proud watching you and was getting emotional during the whole thing! Just wanted to say that you are such a great steward of the game and thank you so much!
Thank you so much for all your amazing, creative content! It's an integral part of my anti-anxiety pre-sleep ritual and I look forward to your videos so much. Sadly I can only subscribe once. Love from Germany.
Amazing gameplay! I had a couple "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" moments, but CGB knew best as usual lol. Also, beating THE UW mage is impressive. I mean the guy is practically a live action Teferi.
You look exhausted, man. Rest up dude, thank you for your consistency and hard work. I know that we all appreciate it dearly (even the mono red mages among us). edit: also you should wear your gi more often
Competitive CGB is just as enjoyable to watch as "The One in Best of One!". More concentration, less sarcasm, but it is amazing how much I have learned from your critique of your own moves and strategy
So cool! When you described being paired against Gab Nassif I got a bit emotional. So happy for you getting to this point in your journey. Not jealous, bit envious. Carry on digital friend.
Dude. These games were insane. I appreciate your deck building videos a ton, but seeing the raw emotion in the hyper competitive scene brings out something different. As a casual player, I can understand not enjoying the competitive scene for all the hardwork required to put into it. These games though were compelling as hell and I'm happy to have found someone to root for in this kind of environment. Good show, man! And good luck with the charity!
Watched the whole thing , right to the end now, and man - keep going. Love your stuff. Big time. I watch your stuff on my big TV while i play your decks , trying to get into mythic, and I laugh, and I I say “here comes mono red they’ll red TIL they’re dead “ and make up ones of my own that you mignt say. Anyways , you’re MUCH more of a personality than every other MTG arena guy out there - I love your stuff. Thanks man.
Great job CGB, you're one of the main reasons I started really learning how to really play Magic, so this was a really fun watch for me. The patience you showed in those games is nuts, and glad to see that even in a competitive scenario you still were having fun. I know you had mentioned playing Bo3 and competitive just wasn't your cup of tea any longer, but it is really cool to see you go head to head with some top players and be successful with your style.
Man you playing competitive best of 3 feels so fresh after watching your recent 600 bo1 games. Didnt have that much fun watching you for a very long time - keep up your work/show :-)
Those were some of the tensest games I've ever seen. That rogues game where you only had 1 card left was insane. Also when you didn't negate the into the story I was literally screaming at my screen when you said "calm down, it's alright" like you were talking specifically to me. Then you broke out the sharks shortly after and it all made sense. Honestly a beautiful video, one of my favorites ever about anything, not just magic.
wow this is good stuff CGB. And hey, I will always love your BO1 content because i prefer it myself, but seeing you dip your toe into BO3 has made me want to do the same, so I hope to see more little flavours of competitive stuff so I can steal your ideas :)
I watched this on twitch live and yet again the whole of this vid. It was very fun and nerve wracking to watch and I thought these two in particular were my favorites I'd ever seen and being part of the CoolKids I was rooting for you more than my local professional sports team. Congratulations again!
It's nice to see in the comments that I wasn't the only one screaming at my computer while watching the rogues match. Such amazing playing, man! Congrats on winning the tournament in a pod full of titans like Gabriel Nasiif!
Request for the editor new intro (just once). Video starts. Dan says “my names Daniel, prince of dominaria. Fabulous secrets were revealed to me the day I held aloft my magic sword and said “BY THE POWER OF ESPER”. (Insert he-man theme. Become cgb the most powerful control mage in the world and the one in best of one). Make this happen.
I have never cheered for sports on TV. But there I was, by myself, cheering out loud for CGB at home. Winning against Nasif AND winning against rogues with one card in your deck? Absolutely incredible.
The one in best of one, giving all the best in the world a run for their money in bo3. That s our guy, great job cgb! You deserve to be on the same stage as these guys, everytime you build a deck, i see it all over the place the next day! Love the hayabusa gi btw ;)
Fun fact about Nassif: He has more Pro Tour losses than any other player! Great set against some of the greatest players. EDIT: I cheered out loud when you hardcasted the shark typhoon in that last game. VAAALLLUUEEEE!
Man, I loved you posted these matches. Because of time difference I wasn't able to watch your plays against Predi live. So it was amazing to enjoy those epic moves. You did awesome man. Really awesome. I always try to comprehend your moves to learn and improve and in these tough matches I realize how mutch I still have ahead to become a ok player 😂 Thanks again Cgb
awesome matches bro. i've been watching your vids like everyday. this one has to be one of the most intense. Don't stop doing what you are doing my man.
gets all but 1 basic out of the deck, Draws it, then draws Birth, then draws triome into triome into "land". That's what we call "getting Magic the Gathering'd"
I watched on twitch a couple nights ago and when you screamed DIIIIIIIIIIEEEEE I started uncontrollably laughing and could not stop. So much so that I woke up my wife and she started laughing! Thank you for the laughs CGB!
i watched you live buddy, it was fricking amazing! Those clutch moments I was like "yes" my wife was like WTF are you on about. Also thank you as your decks have gotten me to mythic multiple times bro. PS, I dig you 80's music love!!
Great game play and Insight wasn’t much of a Fan but you changed my mind piloting this noodle deck . A true insight into good game Play. Shhhhhh. We all live for the day drawing our last card and win the game
When you used Epiphany in the first game i was like: "wtf he doing, he needs to shatter to kill dreamtrawler, keep open counterspell" but flickering your whole board and wiping then was genious
"I'm feeling aggro" -> casts Negate
Legend.
That game that went down to the final card in your library was a real nail biter. Impressive navigation of a difficult play situation, absolutely amazing.
Buying the Yorion feels like castling in Chess, especially in the mirror match.
The One in best of ONE
That second Rogues game was one of the most nail biting matches I've ever seen. I almost cried when he topdecked that Into The Story after being empty handed, but good on you for fighting back.
1:13:08 "DIEEEEEEEEE!!!"
You could feel the tension during that match, I literally jumped out of my seat.. the best celebration EVER!!!

Empty handed, no board
Opp top decks into the story.
How did you keep it together CGB?
Thank you so much for all your amazing, creative content! It's an integral part of my anti-anxiety pre-sleep ritual and I look forward to your videos so much. Sadly I can only subscribe once. Love from Germany.
Recently moved to germany and these videos are what's keeping me interested in mtg
Well, technically you could subscribe thrice - patreon, youtube and twitch ;)
@@VadAndensong I beg of you, send me the money and I vow to do so! xD
You could unsubscribe, and resubscribe.
I'm proud of ya for putting yourself out there again competitively! It takes a lot of guts to face that side of yourself and temper it.
Amazing gameplay! I had a couple "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" moments, but CGB knew best as usual lol.

It's incredible that you went 2-0 against Gabriel man, that's so impressive.

That rogues game made me want to scream
They milled nearly all his best cards and drew gas alllllll game
wow this is good stuff CGB. And hey, I will always love your BO1 content because i prefer it myself, but seeing you dip your toe into BO3 has made me want to do the same, so I hope to see more little flavours of competitive stuff so I can steal your ideas :)
Blimey CGB, you look absolutely done in in that intro! Hope you get some rest!
You beat Nassif! I can't believe it man
I watched this on twitch live and yet again the whole of this vid. Hahaha, that Godzilla was hilarious 🤣
I had over 8 months without playing Arena, watching this just made me re-install it =)
It's nice to see in the comments that I wasn't the only one screaming at my computer while watching the rogues match. Such amazing playing, man! Congrats on winning the tournament in a pod full of titans like Gabriel Nasiif!
The noooo on the into the story top deck, that was some very real emotion.
Epic playing! Really enjoyed watching it

Make this happen.

EPIC! Blinking out for a Shatter The Sky was brilliant! Wowzies.
Seriously, that's some of the best magic I've seen. Good stuff!
That match where you had one card left to mill might be one of the best control matches I have ever seen.
The one in best of one, giving all the best in the world a run for their money in bo3. That s our guy, great job cgb! You deserve to be on the same stage as these guys, everytime you build a deck, i see it all over the place the next day! Love the hayabusa gi btw ;)
Those really were some _fantastic_ games. You truly are a spectacular blue-white mage.
Fun fact about Nassif: He has more Pro Tour losses than any other player! Great set against some of the greatest players.
EDIT: I cheered out loud when you hardcasted the shark typhoon in that last game. VAAALLLUUEEEE!
No one, NO ONE OUTFLOODS THE ONE!
AMAZING MATCHES!! :) Thanks for sharing them with us! Great job!!
Nice music going on in the background CGB. I felt the intensity of every card drawn and played again Nassif!
Hello CGB greetings from Poland! Congratulations for that game against Gabriel Nassif, great player and inspiration!
Man, I loved you posted these matches. Because of time difference I wasn't able to watch your plays against Predi live. So it was amazing to enjoy those epic moves. You did awesome man. Really awesome. I always try to comprehend your moves to learn and improve and in these tough matches I realize how mutch I still have ahead to become a ok player 😂 Thanks again Cgb
that was so freaking entertaining!!!! i just hope you'll do it again CGB!
This type of content is really cool mate, I'd love to see more competitive games from you. Keep them coming
13:45 That mainphase Epiphany into Shatter !!! Great line!
Amazing. Just breath taking. Great job CGB
I enjoy all of your content. Im really liking these recent events.
I’m a simple man. I see shark typhoon in hand, I start chanting “Slam it! Slam it!”
awesome matches bro. i've been watching your vids like everyday. this one has to be one of the most intense. Don't stop doing what you are doing my man.
Those 2 of the best of 3 in this tournament were nerve racking. I'm surprised I didn't get an anxiety attack from all the tenacity.
Bro the mana flood was legitimately hilarious. Land after land, 1 in 39 chance of an island, cycle 2 land cars to find a useless card, so funny
14:20 i really like how he stopped talking , crank up the music and enjoyed the power surge
Great games, proud of you man that was an absolute clinic for UW control
Daniel-san... Your Epiphany/Shatter move was extraordinary... Arrigato!
Get my mans CGB in the pro league so I can see him geek out against his other favorite MTG legends.
Nice job beating YellowHat mad respect for ya CGB keep up the great content!
man those were one of the best games of magic i`ve ever seen, congratz CGB on the wins
We can’t draw another island guys: draws an (island mountain plain) land. Okay maybe we can draw another island. Shoulda been specific:)
Two, at that! lol
gets all but 1 basic out of the deck, Draws it, then draws Birth, then draws triome into triome into "land". That's what we call "getting Magic the Gathering'd"
Island Mountain Plains into Island Mountain Plains into blue land
Some of the most intense plays and most hilarious draws from both sides! Would love to see a bit of BO3 once in a blue moon
The rogue match up was really funny lol. Literally becomes a Land deck late game lmao. Great content cgb.
Totally epic...full length feature and worth every bit!
Man, that shatter and yorion exile move was elegant, classy 13:30
This was SOOOO INTENSE!!!!!!! Loved it!
Dude I love watching you play competitively! Absolutely love the channel!
Good job! Those games were superbly played and you deserved those wins.
CGB:"well, the good news is that we can't draw another island" promptly draws a island mountain plains.
One of my favorite vids so far. Congrats
I watched on twitch a couple nights ago and when you screamed DIIIIIIIIIIEEEEE I started uncontrollably laughing and could not stop. So much so that I woke up my wife and she started laughing! Thank you for the laughs CGB!

Love these crazy control games so much. Longer the better
The best control player in the world vs Gabriel Nassif. Well done, CGB!
COVERT: I destroyed all your dreams.
ROGUE: *Into the Story*
COVERT: Noooo... No like that.... *Cries*
That was some fine magic all around! Well done CGB.
Amazing as always CGB! Loving also the BO3 content!
i watched you live buddy, it was fricking amazing! Those clutch moments I was like "yes" my wife was like WTF are you on about. Also thank you as your decks have gotten me to mythic multiple times bro.
PS, I dig you 80's music love!!
This is what we like to see. Im enjoying the daily content. Keep up the great work!!
I absolutely love sky noodle, please, play as many times you want. Love Bo3 CGB too, you're awesome.
Yellowhat vs CGB? That's beautiful. A toast to friendship between the US and France!
DON'T YOU DARE DISRESPECT GODZILLA, 10/10. The nassif match was a beauty to behold
Go CGB! love the videos, you are such a great guy!
Great game play and Insight wasn’t much of a Fan but you changed my mind piloting this noodle deck . A true insight into good game Play. Shhhhhh. We all live for the day drawing our last card and win the game
Excellent video, amazing plays 👏
This was a tense video, but very satisfying!!! Congrats on all the wins man
Hardcore loved it. Congrats CGB.
Holy crap those games were crazy and intense! I literally said f%@k yeah out loud after the last game
Against the rogues g2 all I could imagine was CGB’s voice
“Hold me I’m scared”
Great games. So glad I am subscribed!
Congratulations! Watched most of the stream and it was tense. Like nothing on Yorion. He's smooth.
When you used Epiphany in the first game i was like: "wtf he doing, he needs to shatter to kill dreamtrawler, keep open counterspell" but flickering your whole board and wiping then was genious
Bo3 is so fun!!! Much more technical! Dont apologize for doing that!!
Absolutely epic games. Well done.
Thanks for posting the best of 3 games
My god that second game of the last match was *intense*!
1:13:12 "All right, I need a Godzilla". Epic game.
Much more interesting than usuall videos. Epic games.
The double Yorion shatter play was so juicy
37:00.
CGB: Which one of my 15 counterspells should I use? Or should I just draw 4 more cards?
Opponent: draws 4 more cards
CGB: Cool
Fucking classic
Well played, loved watching those games!
Still think CGB is one of the best. You cannot convince me otherwise.
Been watching everyday for months now CGB. GOAT 🐐
